EyeConnect
Your Mac Entertainment Unleashed
EyeConnect software enables your UPnPTM AV digital media device to stream EyeTV
recordings, digital photos, music and movies from your Mac onto your TV or stereo.
EyeConnectTM is based on the globally trusted Universal Plug and PlayTM Audio/Video standard (UPnPTM AV) for the seamless sharing of digital content throughout your home. Using
this industry standard technology, EyeConnectTM enables a broad range of UPnPTM AV devices
to play EyeTV recordings, digital music, video, or photo content, including iPhotoTM, iTunes®,
and movies stored on your Macintosh. Elgato’s EyeConnect digital media streaming software
addresses a rapidly growing market for home networking solutions for the Macintosh.
Use EyeConnect in combination with your UPnPTM AV digital media device to, manage wired
or wireless streaming of stored multimedia content effortlessly:
EyeTV recordings: Watch EyeTV recordings on your TV in the comfort of your living room.
Pictures: View individual digital photos or your entire iPhotoTM library, on your TV.
Play slideshows of your organized photo albums for the enjoyment of family and friends.
Music: Access your entire iTunes® music library and play MP3 music in Dolby® Digital
sound on your home entertainment system.
Video & Home Movies: Access all the media in your Movies folder on your TV. The digital
media player used determines the movie formats that are supported.
Digital media files remain organized as originally stored in your Mac libraries so you can
quickly find the file you want.
Elgato‘s EyeConnect software supports device authentication and an advanced plug-in architecture that enables third-party developers to provide additional streaming content. An EyeConnect

What is UPnPTM AV technology?
UPnPTM AV (Universal Plug ‘n Play Audio/Video) technology is an open networking
architecture that employs TCP/IP and other Internet technologies for the seamless flow of
digital content throughout your home. UPnPTM AV products work easily with each other
and do not require complex configuration.

• Mac OS X 10.3
• Minimum 20 MB free hard disk space
• iPhoto, iTunes installed for viewing photo and music content
• EyeTV installed for viewing EyeTV (digital TV recorder) recordings
