Note: Radio stations transmitting in the same frequency range
may cause reception interference. Please note that the operating range of the radio signal is
limited by legislation as well as by the product design.
Wall holder installation
• Before installing the wall holder, always ensure that the transmitter and receiver are in proper working order.
• Mount the holder onto the wall using the two raw plugs and screws provided.
General information/Designated use
General information
The TempoTel, which is supplied with pre-programmed factory date and time settings (CET), operates your drive in the morning at the programmed switching time and in the evening at the set astro time (sunset time).
The TempoTel can be operated manually at any time. The TempoTel allows up to 5 receivers to be operated individually or as a group.
This device is characterised by its user-friendly operation.
Designated use
The TempoTel may be used to drive roller shutters and sun protection systems only.
• Please note that radio-controlled systems may not be used in areas with a high risk of interference (e.g. hospitals,airports).
• The remote control is solely for use with equipment and systems in which malfunctions in the hand-held transmitter or receiver would not pose any risk to persons, animals or property or which contain safety devices to eliminate such risks.
• The operator is not protected from interference from other telecommunications systems and terminal equipment (e.g. even from radio-controlled systems which are properly operated in the same frequency range).
• Radio receivers may only be used in combination with equipment and systems stipulated in manufacturers’ specifications.

Transmission control light
The transmission control light is illuminated when a radio signal is being transmitted.
If battery power is low,the transmission control light will flash during transmission. The transmission power or radio operating range will decrease as battery power decrease. If the transmission control light does not light up when the buttons are pressed, the batteries must be replaced.
Group control
Group control refers to the operation of one or more receivers at the same time.The selected group is controlled via a control command. The TempoTel has five radio channels which can be used for group control.
Select button
The select button may be used to select and programme up to 5 channels. The LED lights for the different channels light up to indicate when a given channel is being used. An additional channel is reserved for central command control. This is allocated automatically.When the central command is active, all five LEDs light up.
NB: The label under the see-through cover can be used to
make a note of the groups which have been programmed.
Initial operation/Factory settings
Initial operation
Press any button on the timer to activate it. The +/- buttons can now be used to select the desired language and confirm your selection by pressing the OK button. The timer is now is automatic mode.

This menu is used to set the time and the date.
Programme menu PROGRAMME
The PROGRAMME menu allows you to set various switching times:
Astro evening (1-5 and 6,7)
Separate (1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6,7)
ASTRO EVENING
Your roller shutters/blinds are raised according to the set switching time. Your roller shutters/blinds are lowered on the basis of the astro function.
SEPARATE
Triggers the UP and DOWN control commands according to the pre-programmed switching times.

Explanation of functions
MAN/AUTO sliding switch
In the “MAN ” sliding switch setting, only manual command controls are carried out.
In the “AUTO ” sliding switch setting,automatic command controls are carried out (e.g. time, astro evening function,...)
Operating mode
The time is shown on the timer display.
OK button
When the OK button is pressed, the currently displayed values are saved.
+/- buttons The following operations are possible using the + and - buttons:
• Menu W change value
•Automode W request information
• + button W next automatic switching time v
• – button W next automatic switching time b
• – button and OK button W request astro time b
MENU button
By pressing the MENU button, you can see an overview of the menu or the operating mode. The values displayed are not saved.
RESET button
When the RESET button is pressed (using a ballpoint pen or similar object), the TempoTel reverts to the default factory settings
.
Exception: Function, language and city menu levels. Note: If the TempoTel is in programming mode and no
buttons are pressed within a period of 1 minute, the timer will automatically return to operating mode.

To set a function,press the OK button until you reach the menu level required.
HOLIDAY SETTING
The holiday setting simulates an occupied house while you are on holiday. If the function is activated (ON), the roller shutter/blind switching times deviate from the programmed times (random variation: max. + 30 mins.).
END LIMIT
The end limit is the point where the roller shutter/blind is in the upper or lower position.
INTERMEDIATE POSITION
The intermediate position is any given position between the upper and lower limits of the roller shutter/blind and can be freely selected. This position can also be reached from the upper position after pro­gramming. Press the DOWN button twice in rapid succession to move to the intermediate position.

The ASTRO EVENING function prevents your roller shutters/blinds from closing too early.
Example:

SUMMER/WINTER
SUMMER/WINTER describes the automatic clock adjustment for daylight saving changes. If the default setting is ON,the timer is adjusted automatically.
FUNCTION MENU This mode is intended for qualified staff only!
The FUNCTION menu gives you the option of setting the following functions:
• ROLLER SHUTTER/BLIND (select either roller shutter or venetian blind)
• EXPERT MODE
• INITIAL OPERATION (for service purposes)
EXPERT MODE
If the town/city selection (EXPERT MODE OFF) is not precise enough for your requirements, a fine adjustment can be made by setting the degrees of longitude and latitude (EXPERT MODE ON).

VENTILATION/REVERSE
The ventilation/reverse position is any given position between the upper and lower limits of the roller shutter/blind and can be freely selected. This function allows you to raise your shutters from the lower end limit until the ventilation slits are open. In the case of venetian blinds, the slats will be turned. Press the UP button twice in rapid succession to move your shutters/blinds to the ventilation/reverse position.
Language (ENGLISH GB)
This menu level can be used to select your national language.
ASTRO SHIFT
With the astro shift setting, the astro time p and astro time b can be shifted independently of one another (max. +/- 120 mins.).

City (LONDON when the language is set to ENGLISH GB) It is important to select a city for the astro function. Select the city
nearest to your location.
LONGITUDE/LATITUDE/TIME ZONE (only when EXPERT MODE is ON)
This function can be used to adapt the astro function to your loca­tion. Your exact coordinates,for example, can be found with the aid of an atlas.

1. Open the front cover on the device and press the following
buttons simultaneously:

2. Keep these two buttons pressed until the LED goes out briefly.

Programming radio channels
Programming a transmitter/channel Prerequisite: The receiver must be installed.
1. With pre-installed electric receivers, the fuse must be disconnected and reconnected after a few seconds.The receiver will remain in programming mode for approx. 5 minutes.
2. Position yourself in front of the roller shutter/blind with the remote control in your hand.
3. Open the front cover of the device and press the transmitter programming button P briefly.The roller shutter/blind will start to move up and down. This will happen for approx. 2 minutes.
4.Select the desired channel using the Select button.
5. To define the keyboard layout, press the UP button on the transmitter as soon as the shutter/blind begins to move upwards (after approx. 1 second).The shutter/blind will come briefly to a halt. As soon as the shutter begins to move again, press the DOWN button on the handheld transmitter. The shutter/blind will stop. The transmitter/channel has been successfully programmed.
Note: If more than one receiver is connected to the same mains
lead, all of these will be in programming mode simultaneously. The shutters/blinds will begin to move up and down “at random”.The longer you take to carry out the programming, the larger the offset becomes.
Individual channels can now be assigned to the relevant receiver. The brief UP and DOWN movements can be stopped by pressing the STOP button on one of the pre-programmed hand-held transmitters briefly.
Channel assignment /modification can now be carried out without you having to disconnect individual channels.
If the shutter/blind moves in the wrong direction, the transmitter must be deleted and re-programmed.
Programming additional transmitters
To programme additional transmitters in one receiver,please proceed as follows:
1. Press the UP, DOWN and programming button P on a transmitter
that has already been programmed in the receiver until the LED goes out.
2. To define the keyboard layout, press the UP button on the hand-
held transmitter as soon as the shutter/blind begins to move upwards (after approx. 1 second). The shutter/blind will come briefly to a halt. As soon as the shutter begins to move again, press the DOWN button on the handheld transmitter. The shutter/blind will stop. The transmitter/channel has been successfully programmed.

The maximum radio range is up to 25 m indoors and up to 350 m outdoors.
Changing the batteries
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Remove the batteries.
3. Insert the new batteries properly. Note: The batteries must be
replaced within one minute. When changing the batteries, ensure that no buttons are pressed.
Cleaning
Clean the device with a damp cloth only. Do not use a cleansing agent as this may damage the plastic.
