ARRANGEMENT OF ENGINE
For the setting of the engine, it is necessary to follow the instructions issued by the Engine Manufacturer.
Important! Always work with the debris bag attached and ensure that the hinges for emptying are
closed.

Once the machine has been assembled start the
the engine as follows:
a)
Engines with choke system:
If the model is equipped with an throttle, when
the engine is cold, position the throttle lever (11)
on START
Engines with primer system:
Press the fuel-enrichment pump located on the
carburettor 3 or 4 times.If the model is equipped
with an throttle, position the throttle lever (11) on
MAX.
b) Start engine.
MANUAL STARTING:
l Grip the starting handle (10) and pull the pull the engine
start grip gently until you feel the resistance caused by
compression. Release the handle; then give the starter
rope a sharp tug.
CAUTION! The cooling fan starts turning as soon as the
engine is started.

OPERATION
With the engine running: set the throttle (11) on max and
push the machine manually. If the suction tube is mounted
keep the engine on max firmly grip the tube handle and
start operation.
Stopping the engine: set the throttle on stop.
l For maximim efficiency empty the debris bag before the
air inlet grill is covered.

l For a four stroke engine, check oil level and change oil
when dirty. For further explanations, see ENGINE
INSTRUCTION BOOK.
SAFETY RULES
Training
a) Persons under 16 years of age and persons who are
not acquainted with the user instructions must not use
the machine.
b) The operator is responsible for the safety of other people
in the working area. Keep children and domestic animals
at a safe distance when the machine is in use.
c) This machine may be used exclusively for aspirating
dead leaves on the ground. Its use is not allowed for
other purposes.
d) Work only when there is sufficient light.
e) Before you start using the vacuum cleaner, make sure
to remove any objects or obstacles that might be present
in the working area. While you are using the vacuum
cleaner, keep your eyes open for the possible presence
of such objects that may have been left on the ground.
Setting up and operating the vacuum cleaner
a) When using the vacuum cleaner, wear strong footwear
(boots or heavy shoes).
b) Turn off the engine and disconnect the cap of the spark
plug whenever:
l emoving any objects from the inlet openings
l transporting, lifting or displacing the machine from the
working area
l carrying out maintenance or cleaning
l adjusting the working height
l emptying the bag
l leaving the vacuum cleaner unattended.
c) CAUTION! The fuel is highly inflammable:
l keep the fuel only in the fuel cans provided for that
purpose
To empty the bag, proceed as follows:
l stop the machine
l pull out the safety pin
l open the zip and empty the bag
Caution! Switch off the machine and disconnect the spark plug before undertaking any
maintenance work.
l Often check the vacuum cleaner, avoiding grass deposits
under the deck.
l Pay attention the muffler may be very hot.
l pour the fuel into the tank only in the open air and make
sure not to smoke
l fill up the fuel tank before starting the engine. Under no
circumstances open the fuel tank cap or add petrol when
the engine is running or when it is still hot
l if the petrol has overflowed, do not under any
circumstances start up the engine. Take the machine
out of the area where the fuel has been spilt and avoid
any source of possible ignition until the petrol fumes
have dissipated
l replace the fuel tank cap and tighten it down firmly.
d) The machines with internal combustion engines must
never be operated in closed environments on account
of the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning.
e) The safety distance, which is set by the length of the
handle, must always be kept. Furthermore, when the
aspirator is working, never run; you must always walk.
f) Particular precautions must be taken when using the
aspirator on slopes or downhill stretches:
l use appropriate antislip footwear
l watch where you put your feet
l always move sideways with respect to the slope; never
move uphill or downhill
l take great care when changing direction
l do not work on excessively steep slopes.
g) If in order to transport the machine, you have to lift it up
or displace it outside the lawn area, first turn off the
engine.
h) Never use the vacuum cleaner with faulty guards or
protections or without safety devices (e.g., leaf-collector
bag) installed and in proper order.

l Often remove wheels-screw, clean them with petroleum,
and put some oil before mounting them. Do the same
for ball bearing wheels; but remember to put grease on
the bearings
i) In the case of improper use of the leaf-collector bag
device, there exists the danger due to objects being flung
around.
j) For reasons of safety, the engine must never exceed the
number of revs (r.p.m.) indicated on the data plate.
k) Take care when starting the engine and make sure to
follow the user instructions. When the engine is turning,
it is absolutely forbidden to prevent anybody from
approaching with their hands or toes to the suction
opening.
Maintenance and storage
a) Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are kept well
tightened down so as to work in conditions of perfect
safety.
b) Never leave the machine with fuel in the tank where the
fuel vapours could reach naked flames or sparks.
c) Give the engine enough time to cool off before putting
the equipment in any narrowly enclosed environment.“
d) Keep the engine, silencer, battery compartment and
