Misunderstanding in serial numbers reading, above all for bought-in products.
Action in
The serial number meaning is in accordance with to the manufacturer’s format:

8 digits YWWSSSSS where
YWW = year and week when assembled
SSSSS = sequence number for every PNC.
Example: PNC 502521 / serial number 5490032 means 32nd machine of 502521 made during week 49 of year 2005.
9 digits YYWWSSSSS where
Example: serial number 052633953 means machine made during week 26 of year 2005.
9 digits YYWWSSSSS where
Example: serial number 055600599 means machine 402056 (LB040AUS) made during year 2005.
There’s no serial number.
The rating plate contains the PNC and the manufacturing date in US/Swedish format: YY-MM-DD (year – month –
day).
The sequence number is reset (it starts on 1) every week.
