Cleaning the Keyboard
If the product becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
Use of a volatile liquid (paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, etc.) may affect the material quality and colour of the product.

Any USB port may be used. This product can be connected to a USB hub. However, it may not work depending on the power supply capability of the USB hub.

Installing the keyboard
Activate the PC.
If Windows

prompts you to choose an account (a user name) when it starts up, b e sure to log on using an administrator account. Wait until Windows

has started up completely.

Increases the volume of entire Windows

Volume-
Lowers the volume of entire Windows

Mute
Stops the audio output of the entire Windows

system. When you press this button once again, mute is released.
Playback/Pause
Plays back media such as music. When you press this button during playback, playback is stopped temporarily. *1
Media player
Activates media player.
My computer
Displays the [My computer] screen (the [Computer] screen for Windows Vista
®
or Windows® 7 users).
Stop
Stops media such as music. *1
To previous track
When you press this button during playback of music or other media, you move to the previous track. *1
To next track
When you press this button during playback of music or other media, you move to the next track. *1

Key” of the reverse side of this paper.
The behavior of the system may be different from the above depending on your environment.

Safety Precautions
By pressing a key between the [F1] and [F11] keys with icons while holding down the key, you can adjust the volume of the entire Windows® system, operate media player, or activate the calculator.
key (function key)
When a key between the [F1] and [F11] keys is pressed while holding down the key, it works as a multi-media key.
Whe n Num Lock , Caps Loc k, or Sc roll Loc k is
activated, the respective LED is lit.
Removing the keyboard
This product is hot-pluggable. The keyboard can be removed while Windows
®
is
running.
Operation may become unstable if the keyboard is disconnected and reconnected several times when Windows
®
is running. If
this occurs, restart Windows
®
.

This product is a 106-key layout keyboard. Depending on the user's operating environment, the actual characters that are output of certain keys may differ from how they are labelled.

With the product connected to the PC, follow the procedure below to remove the unknown device.
Display Device Manager.

. From the [Start] menu, right-click [Computer].

. From the [Start] menu, right-click [My Computer].

. Click the [Hardware] tab.

The Device Manager window appears. Right-click the unknown device, and click
[Uninstall].
Click .
Disconnect the receiver unit and restart the PC.
Repeat the procedure from “Step 2 - Installing the keyboard” on the front of this
sheet.
Sleep key
The sleep key allows you to shut down Windows® and put Windows® to or restore Windows
®
from the sleep mode (These functions are equivalent to Sleep/Wake in
the ACPI function).
The sleep key may not function depending on your environment.
Method of changing the setting of the sleep key
You can change the setting of the function performed by pressing the sleep key. For example, you can set the sleep key to do nothing even if a button is pressed or to put the PC to sleep state only when the sleep key is pressed.
Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 users
With th is product connected, c lick [Start] - [Cont rol Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] - [Power Options].
From [When I press the sleep button], you can change the function performed by pressing the sleep key of this product.
Windows® XP users
With this product connected, click [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] - [Power Options].
By clicking [Power Options Properties]
- [Advanced], you can change the function performed by pressing the sleep key of this product from [When I press the sleep button on my computer] under [Power buttons] on this screen.
Troubleshooting
When the product appears to be malfunctioning
Unstable operation, no character entered when a key
pressed
When the keyboard was connected to the USB port, the standard Windows®
driver may not have been installed, causing the product to be registered as “Unknown device.” This product is usually detected as a USB human interface device. If it is detected as an unknown device, see “Removing an unknown device,” and after removing the device from Device Manager, repeat “Step 2 ­Installing the keyboard” on the front of this sheet.
Removing an unknown device
If the standard Windows mouse driver did not install correctly and this product is detected as an unknown device, remove the unknown device from Device Manager, and then repeat “Step 2 - Installing the keyboard” on the front of this sheet.
If there are multiple unknown devices, before removing a device, check that it is actually this product. Disconnect the keyboard and check which unknown device disappears. The device that disappears is this product. If the unknown device does not disappear even after you have deleted the driver foll owing the instruc tions bel ow, it i s possibl e that there i s something wrong with the PC. Contact the PC manufacturer.
