B. Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance and cleaning.
C. Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device
D. This unit must be grounded.
Caution — This hood is for general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or
explosive materials and vapors.
To reduce the risk of injury to persons in the event of a range top grease fire, observe the
following:
A. Smother flames with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet or metal tray, and then turn off the burner.
BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT BURNS.
B. If the flame do not go out immediately ,EVACUATE AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
C. NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN---you may be burned
D. DO NOT USE WATER including wet dishcloths or towels –a violent steam explosion will result.
E. Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
1. You know you have a class ABC extinguisher, and you already know how to operate it.
2. The fire is small and contained in the area where is started
3. The fire department is being called.
4. You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

WARNING---To reduce the risk of a range top grease fire:
A. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy
spillovers that may ignite.
B. Turn hood ON always when cooking at high heat or when cooking flaming foods
C. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter
D.Use proper fan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element
E. Constantly check food frying to avoid that the overheated oil may become a fire hazard.
F. Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.
G. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without
supervision.
H. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
I. There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when the rangehood is used at the same time
as appliances burning gas or other fuels.
J. There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instructions
K. under the hood allow the use of up to 6 stoves.
