CHOICE OF THE BURNER
On the control panel, near every knob
there is a diagram that indicates which
burner is controlled by that knob.
The suitable burner must be chosen
according to the diameter and the capacity
used.
As an indication, the burners and the pots
must be used in the following way:
DIAMETERS OF PANS WHICH MAY
BE USED ON THE HOBS
BURNERS MINIMUM MAXIMUM
Auxiliary12 cm 14 cm
Semi-rapid16 cm 24 cm
Rapid24 cm 26 cm
WokMax. 36 cm
Do not use pans with concave or
convexe bases
It is important that the diameter of the pot
be suitable to the potentiality of the burner
so as not to compromise the high output
of the burners and therefore energy waste.
A small pot on a large burner does not give
you a boiling point in a shorter amount of
time since the capacity of heat absorption
of a liquid mass depends on the volume
and the surface of the pot.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES
Heating and cooking in the plurifunction
oven are obtained:
a. by natural convection
The heat is produced by the upper and
lower heating elements.
b. by forced convection
The heat produced by the lower and
upper heating elements is distributed in
the oven by the fan. Several dishes can
be cooked at the same time.
c. by radiation and ventilation
The heat irradiated by the infrared grill
resistance is distributed in the oven by
the fan.
d. by radiation
The heat is radiated by the infrared
grill resistance (use with the oven door
closed).
e. by ventilation
The food is defrosted by using the fan
only function without heat.
WARNING:
The door is hot, use the handle.
During use the appliance becomes

THERMOSTAT KNOB (g. 4.2)
To turn on the heating elements of the oven, set the function selector knob on the desired
program and the thermostat knob onto the desired temperature.
To set the temperature, it is necessary to make the knob indicator meet the chosen number.
The elements will turn ON or OFF automatically according to the energy need which is
determined by the thermostat.
The light close to the thermostat selector knob will illuminate when the oven is switched on
and turns off when the oven reaches the correct temperature.
The light will cycle on and off during cooking.
FUNCTION SELECTOR KNOB (g. 4.1)
Rotate the knob clockwise to set the oven for one of the following functions:
OVEN LIGHT
When the knob is set to this position only the oven light comes on.
It remains on during all cooking modes.
TRADITIONAL CONVECTION COOKING
The upper and lower heating elements come on.
The heat is dispersed by natural convection and the temperature must be set to between
50° and 250°C via the thermostat knob.
The oven must be preheated before cooking.
Recommended for:
Food that requires the same degree of cooking both inside and out, for example roasts,
spare pork ribs, meringues etc.
15

CONVECTION COOKING WITH VENTILATION
The upper and lower heating elements come on and the fan. The heat coming from above
and below is diffused by forced convection. The temperature must be set to between 50°
and 250°C via the thermostat knob.
Recommended for:
Voluminous dishes and large quantities which require the same degree of cooking both
inside and out, for example rolled roasts, turkey, roast legs, cakes etc.
DEFROSTING FROZEN FOODS
With the thermostat knob on “ ” only the oven fan is on.
The defrosting is done by simple ventilation without heat.
Recommended for:
To rapidly defrost frozen foods; 1 kilogram requires about one hour. The defrosting times
vary according to the quantity and type of foods to be defrosted.
VENTILATED GRILL COOKING
The infrared grill and the fan come on.
The heat is diffused mainly by radiation and the fan then distributes it all over the oven.
The oven must be used with the door closed and the temperature can be regulated via
the thermostat knob to between 50° and 200°C maximum.
For cooking hints, see the chapter “GRILLING AND AU GRATIN”.

thermostat knob to position 130 °C.
When sterilization has begun, that is, when
the contents of the jars start to bubble, turn
off the oven and let cool.
.
REGENERATION
Set the switch to position and the
thermostat knob to position 150° C.
Bread becomes fragrant again if wet with
a few drops of water and put into the
oven for about 10 minutes at the highest
temperature.
ROASTING
To obtain classical roasting, it is necessary
to remember:
• that it is advisable to maintain a
temperature between 180 and 200 °C.
• that the cooking time depends on the
quantity and the type of foods.
GRILLING AND “AU GRATIN”
Grilling may be done without the roasting
jack on position
the hot air completely envelops the food
that is to be cooked.
Set the thermostat knob between 50°C and
200°C max and after having pre-heated the
oven, simply place the food on the grill pan.
Adding a few dabs of butter before the end
of the cooking time gives the golden “au
gratin” effect.

COOKING DIFFERENT DISHES AT
THE SAME TIME
With the function selector in position
the ventilated oven allows you to cook
different types of food at the same time.
Fish, cakes and meat can be cooked
together without the smells and avours
mixing.
The only precautions required are the
following:
• The cooking temperatures must be
as close as possible with a maximum
difference of 20° - 25°C between the
different foods.
• Different dishes must be placed in
the oven at different times according
to the cooking time required for each
one. This type of cooking obviously
provides a considerable saving on
time and energy.
18
OVEN COOKING
To cook, before introducing the food, preheat
the oven to the desired temperature.
When the oven has reached the desired
temperature, introduce the food, control
the cooking time and tum off the oven
5 minutes before the theoretical time to
recuperate the stored heat.
COOKING EXAMPLES
Temperatures are approximate as they
vary depending on the quality and amount
of food.
Remember to use ovenproof dishes and to
adjust the oven temperature during cooking
if necessary.
The minute counter is a timed acoustic
warning device which can be set for a
maximum of 60 minutes.
The knob (g. 5.1) must be rotated
clockwise as far as the 60 minute position
and then set to the required time by rotating
it anticlockwise.
IMPORTANT WARNING: This is only a
mechanical timer.
Remember to turn off the oven/grill

VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS
The appliance must be installed in compliance with applicable local regulations
concerning ventilation and the evacuation of exhaust gases.
Intensive and prolonged use may require extra ventilation, e.g. opening a window,
The room where the gas appliance is to be installed must have a natural ow of air so that
the gas can burn (in compliance with applicable local regulations).
The ow of air must come directly from one or more openings made in the outside walls
with a free area of at least 200 cm2 (or refer to applicable local regulations).
The openings should be near the oor and preferably on the side opposite the exhaust for
combustion products and must be made so that they cannot be blocked from either the
inside or the outside.
When these openings cannot be made, the necessary air can come from an adjacent
room which is ventilated as required, as long as it is not a bed room or a danger area (in
compliance with applicable local regulations).
In this case, the kitchen door must allow the passage of the air.
DISCHARGING PRODUCTS OF COMBUSTION
Extractor hoods connected directly to the outside must be provided, to allow the products
of combustion of the gas appliance to be discharged (g. 7.3).
If this is not possible, an electric fan may be used, attached to the external wall or the
window; the fan should have a capacity to circulate air at an hourly rate of 3-5 times the
total volume of the kitchen (g. 7.4).
The fan can only be installed if the room has suitable vents to allow air to enter, as described
under the heading “Choosing suitable surroundings”.
