EV2450

The extremely narrow frame of the FlexScan EV2450 immediately catches your eye. The tidy, compact
design makes it perfect for a modern office environment. The 23.8” monitor with 16:9 aspect ratio features
IPS technology and impresses when it comes to image quality and ergonomics. It excels with an anti-glare,
clear display thanks to automated brightness and anti-reflection technology. The hybrid brightness control
ensures flicker-free images and the stand enables practically unlimited freedom when determining the
position. This helps to prevent problems with posture and any strain to the eyes. EV2450 is virtually
frameless and lends itself particularly well to multi-screen use.

EIZO EV2450

Features

Fusion design The EV2450 features an exceptionally narrow
outer frame measuring approximately 1 mm on both sides and
the top, as well as a glass frame around the display with a width
of only 4.3 mm. This ensures a compact, attractive design and
saves desk space. The user benefits from a virtually frameless
display in multi-screen operation. A wide desktop provides a clear
display free from thick housing. Power supply and signal
interfaces are unobtrusively integrated into the unit.

Outstanding image quality A resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels,
a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and brightness of 250 cd/m² all ensure
first-class image quality with clear graphics and structures as well
as sharp text contours. The LCD module featuring IPS technology
enables a viewing angle of 178 degrees, ensuring that colour and
contrast remain stable for the viewer. This improves perceptibility
and readability.

Auto EcoView The EcoView sensor measures the ambient light
and automatically adjusts the display brightness accordingly. The
image brightness is stronger in the case of bright illumination and
it is reduced in the dark. It is also possible to control brightness
manually. Alternatively, you can freely select the desired image
brightness. The EcoV ie w index indicates how env i r on m en tally

EcoView Sense When it comes to power savings, the EV2450
excels thanks to its EcoView Sense function. It automatically
switches the display on or off depending on whether the user is
present in front of the screen. EcoView Sense detects the user’s
return even before the user moves the keyboard or mouse. This
means the display is always ready for operation, yet it does not
waste any power while the user is away.

EcoView Optimizer The EcoView Optimizer analyses and
responds to the white portion of the image content to control the
display backlight. When the displayed content is dark, the light
emission is reduced so that power consumption decreases by up
to 30%. The image brightness defined by the user is nevertheless
maintained at all times, as EcoView Optimizer also controls the
hue values.

Eco Timer EIZO uses two methods to save energy: After a
predefined time, Eco Timer automatically switches the monitor
into standby mode, reducing power consumption. The power
switch, located directly on the monitor, switches the power supply
off completely and therefore minimises unnecessary CO
emissions as well as costs.

Flicker-free The EV2450 uses hybrid technology developed by
EIZO to control background light. This replaces the conventional
internal PWM control (pulse wid th modulation). However, EIZO
does not completely get rid of PWM and continues to use it to
retain precise colour stability in dark images. However, the
EV2450 uses a flicker-free repetition rate of up to 18 kHz.
Furthermore, hybrid technology allows brightness to be reduced
to 1 cd/m
in poorly lit environments.

Overdrive The precalculated Overdriv e function accelerates
pixel conversion to a level where the changeover time between
different hue values is a mere 5 ms on average. Moving images
and screen changes are displayed without any annoying delays.

FineContrast This function offers a wide range of
display modes with various default settings for
brightness, colour temperature and gamma. It provides
ideal display configurations for office applications,
Internet and images (sRGB) at the push of a button.
‘Paper’ mode simulates the pleasant contrast of printed
documents and reduces the blue light portion. In addition,
a DICOM mode for radiology and two user modes are also
available for customised settings.

Precise colour control Colour temperature control
allows the white balance to be adjusted at intervals of
500 between 4,000 and 10,000 K. In addition, the colour
saturation (gain) for RGB colours can be configured
separately.

Button Guide The EV2450 displays a function overview
on the screen at the touch of a button for easy and
convenient operation. This way, the function of the
respective button is shown next to the control panel.

Digital and analogue inputs A DisplayPort, a HDMI
and a DVI-D input enable the connection of digital
signals. A D-Sub input is available for analogue signals.
Up to four computers can be connected at one time.

USB Hub An integrated USB hub v.3.0 is provided for
the connection of peripheral devices. For example, a
keyboard and mouse can be connected to the monitor
sitting on your desk.

ScreenManager Pro ScreenManager Pro is used for
convenient monitor control using software via the
Windows interface as an alternative to the on-screen
display. It is even possible to link monitor settings to
specific applications, for example, switching to sRGB
mode when opening the browser.

Monitor Configurator EIZO Monitor Configurator
software allows users to put multiple screens with the
same settings into operation. You can use it to configure
the EV2450 and transfer the settings to other monitors.

Audio-enabled Speakers and headphone jack are
discreetly integr a t ed in t o the housing.

Economical and environmentally-friendly The
mercury-free backlight with efficient but bright, white
LEDs is a particularly impressive feature of the EV2450. It
consumes just 12 watts in regular use,
which reduces energy costs as well as CO

FlexStand This enables turning and
tilting as well as operation in portrait
and landscape format. The continuous
height adjustment starts very low near
the desk and has a range of
14 centimetres. This guarantees
optimal ergonomics, regardless of
whether the user is sitting or standing
in front of the screen. The FlexStand
base is always fully stable, despite its
maximum movement ability.
