4. Features

5. Replacing the Fuse

• Only fit or replace a fuse when the device is unplugged from the mains.

• Replace a blown fuse with a fuse of the same type and rating (see “Technical Specifications”):

1. Unscrew the fuse holder at the back with an appropriate screwdriver.

2. Remove the old fuse and install a new one.

3. Replace the fuse holder and fasten it with the screwdriver.

6. Controls and Connections

1. LEVEL CONTROL: controls the level of the signal.

2. EQ ON/OFF switch + indicator: when the red LED is lit, the equaliser is activated, otherwise it is in bypass mode. Use this switch to compare equalised and un-equalised signals.

3. SLIDE CONTROLS: There are 15 controls for each channel. In the middle position (0), there is no modification for that frequency. To boost or cut a frequency, move the slide control upwards or downwards respectively.

4. VU METER: indicates the output level of the channels 1 and 2.

At the back of the device, you find the power switch, the power cord, the fuse holder and the input/output connections. For each in- and output, 2 types of connections are available:

- 6.35mm jack: balanced and wired as tip=Hi(+), ring=Lo(-) and the sleeve is ground.

- XLR connector: balanced and wired as pin1=ground, pin2=Hi(+), pin3=Lo(-)

CAUTION: only 1 type can be used per input/output. Never connect both types for 1 input or output.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

1. All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.

2. The housing, mounting supports and the installation location should not be deformed, modified or tampered with.

3. Moving mechanic parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.

4. The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.

5. Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.

6. Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.

7. There are no user-serviceable parts apart from the fuse: refer to “Replacing the fuse”.

8. Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

• De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• Laat dit toestel installeren en onderhouden door een geschoolde technicus.

5. De zekering vervangen

• Plaats of vervang een zekering alleen wanneer het toestel niet aangesloten is op het lichtnet.

• Vervang een doorgebrande zekering door een zekering met dezelfde specificaties (zie “Technische

Specificaties”):

1. Schroef de zekeringhouder achteraan het toestel los met een geschikte schroevendraaier.

2. Verwijder de oude zekering en plaats een nieuwe.

3. Plaats de zekeringhouder terug en zet hem vast met de schroevendraaier.

6. Bediening en aansluiting

1. LEVEL CONTROL: bepaalt het niveau van het signaal.

2. EQ ON/OFF schakelaar + indicator: wanneer de rode LED brandt, ligt de equalizer aan, anders staat hij in bypass mode. Gebruik deze schakelaar om het originele en het aangepaste signaal te vergelijken.

3. SCHUIFREGELAARS: Er zijn 15 regelingen voor elk kanaal. In de middenpositie (0) blijft die frequentie onveranderd. Om een frequentie te versterken of te verzwakken beweegt u de regelaar respectievelijk naar boven of beneden.

4. VU METER: geeft het uitgangsniveau weer van de kanalen 1 en 2.

Achteraan het toestel vindt u de stroomschakelaar, de stroomkabel, de zekeringhouder en de ingang- en uitgang-aansluitingen. Voor elke in- en uitgang zijn er 2 types aansluiting:

- 6,35 mm jack: gebalanceerd en aangesloten als top=Hi(+), ring=Lo(-) en de kabelhuls dient als

aarding.

- XLR aansluiting: gebalanceerd en aangesloten als pin1=ground, pin2=Hi(+), pin3=Lo(-)

LET OP: slechts 1 type kan worden gebruikt per ingang/uitgang. Sluit nooit 2 types aan per in- of

uitgang.

7. Reiniging en onderhoud

1. Alle gebruikte schroeven moeten goed zijn aangespannen en mogen geen sporen van roest vertonen.

2. De behuizing, montagebeugels en montageplaats mogen niet vervormd zijn of aangepast worden.

3. Mechanisch bewegende delen mogen geen sporen van slijtage vertonen en mogen niet onregelmatig bewegen.

4. De voedingskabels mogen niet beschadigd zijn. Laat het toestel onderhouden door een geschoolde technicus.

5. Ontkoppel het toestel van het lichtnet voor u aan onderhoudswerkzaamheden begint.

6. Maak het toestel geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of solvent.

7. De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen, behalve de zekering: zie "De zekering vervangen".

8. Bestel eventuele reserveonderdelen bij uw dealer.
