INSTALLATION GUIDE DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

Congratulations on the purchase of your Egardia door/window sensor.

Door/window sensor

The door/window sensor detects when a door or window opens or closes. Locate the door/window
sensor on the door or window frame and the corresponding magnet on the door or window itself.
When a door or window is being opened the magnetic connection between the magnet and the
door/window sensor is broken and an alarm will be triggered.

OVERVIEW DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

1. Status indicator & Register button – Shows the status of the door/window sensor and
also acts as a register button for the door/window sensor.

2. Mounting holes – To mount the door/window sensor to a door frame or wall using
screws.

3. Battery tab – After removal of this tab the door/window sensor is activated.

4. Screw – To fasten the front cover and the back plate of the door/window sensor together.

INSTALLING THE DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

The installation process of the Egardia door/window sensor consists of four easy steps.

STEP 1.

CHECK THE CONTENTS OF THE BOX

ADD TO ALARM SYSTEM

REGISTER THE DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR WITH YOUR
EGARDIA ALARM SYSTEM

STEP 3.

MOUNT DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

DETERMINE THE LOCATION AND MOUNT THE

DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

STEP 4.

CHECK AND TEST

CHECK AND TEST THE DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR

STEP 1: CHECK CONTENTS

Check the contents of the packaging for the following parts:

1. Door/window sensor (battery is factory installed in the door/window sensor)

2. Magnet and rubber magnet increase

3. Bag containing screws, plugs and 2 white cover caps

4. Double-sided tape and Velcro tape for mounting
