INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
How to Install/Unfold the bicycle out of the box
1. Your folding bike is 95% installed. All you need to do is unfold the bike, insert the handle bar stem and insert the seat. ALL of which are secured using quick releases.
2. To begin, unpack the bicycle from the box and cut all the ties that held the bicycle together during shipping.
3. Unfold the frame of the bike while gently lifting the Quick Release upward. When the main frame of the bike has straightened completely, release the quick release and bring the lever all the way to the front of the bike. Then, securing the quick release.
4. Unfold the Handle stem (where the handlebar fits into) section of the bike. Then, bring the quick release over to the top portion of the bike and secure the lever.
5. ! WARNING: Please make sure the installed saddle is at least 1/2 inch above the rear suspension under the seat and that the post must be firmly secured before riding the bike.
6. Install the saddle and the handle bar for the bicycle. Both the saddle and the handle bar can be installed by tightening and locking in their respective quick releases.
7. Unfold the pedals by gently lifting them horizontally and they will lock into place.
8. The rear LED reflector takes 2 AAA batteries. To open the LED rear reflector use a Philips
head screw driver to slowly pry it open.
9. A front lamp is installed on your EG Vienna folding bicycle. To run this lamp, simply switch it on all the way and the movement of the front wheel will power your lamp. Your front reflector is integrated into this lamp.
10. ! WARNING: Be sure the main Li-on battery is installed properly before riding the bicycle. If the Battery is installed wrongly, it may damage the battery case railing or cause the battery to fall off the bike.
11. ! WARNING: Do NOT sit on, place anything or tie anything to the battery while installed on the bike under any circumstances. Doing so can damage the battery holder.
12. Install the Main Li-ion battery. Ensure both side rails and the spade piece of the metal holder are totally inserted into the battery on the underside. Then, lock in the battery in place with the key.
13. ! WARNING: Before riding ensure the battery has been installed properly by inspecting the mount from the bottom to ensure there is no gap between the holder and the battery.
How to Fold the Bicycle
1. First make sure your saddle and the handle bars are lowered.
2. To fold the handlebar stem, lift the quick release and move it all the way down to unhook
the stem.
3. ! WARNING: if your pedals don’t fold easily do not force them to do so, or you will risk breaking the pedals.
4. Next fold, the pedals, by gently pressing in the pedals horizontally and then they will effortlessly fold into their natural vertical position.
5. To fold the frame of the bike, unhook the quick release, and bring the quick release lever all the way towards the back of the bike. Next, gently lift the quick release upward to unhook the quick release. Bend the frame to fold it.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
How to operate the Electric Bicycle
The Electric bicycle can be operated in 3 different modes:
1. Manual Mode –
Place the operation switch to the left on the handle bar in the middle position, and ride
the bicycle normally as you would any bicycle.
In this mode it is not necessary to insert the key or turn on the electric controller.
2a. Power Assist Mode “S” (Standard Mode) –
Place the key in the lock/switch and turn the key clockwise to the right most position.Place the operation switch to the left of the handle bar in “S” position, and then ride
the bicycle normally as you would any bicycle.
In this mode, the motor will assist you with full power as you pedal the bicycle. The motor will stop when you stop peddling in this mode.This mode saves moderate amount of battery power.This mode gives you a moderate “miles per charge” and is considered a balanced
mode in terms of energy usage vs. distance.
