Designated use
This device is designed for private use. The light is not designated for commercial use in motor vehicle workshops
or other workshops, etc. The enclosed car cigarette lighter adapter is only suitable for use in motor
vehicles provided with a battery voltage of 12 V.

• The power supply unit must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Packaging materials such as fi lms or polystyrene are not children’s toys! Keep children away from them. Suffocation hazard!

• The light must not be used in an environment that is subject to fi re or an explosion hazard.
• The light is extremely bright. Never look directly into it at close range and do not shine it into the eyes of people or animals.
• Protect the telescopic worklight from intense heat, cold, strong vibrations and impact.

• In order to avoid damage to surfaces, do not slide the telescopic worklight over the surface to which it is adhered.
• Do not clean the appliance with harsh, scratching or abrasive detergents. The surfaces could become damaged.
With use in motor vehicles
• The telescopic worklight and the charging cable must not endanger the

driver and passengers. The lamp must always be stored and fastened so that it does not create a hazard when braking suddenly.
• While driving, all vehicle parts (pedals, steering wheel, etc.) must be capable of being operated by the driver with ease and without any restriction.
• You must not operate the lamp while driving!

Hazard from electricity
• Only touch the device with dry hands!
• Use power supply and light only in dry interior rooms.
• The device must not be exposed to water.
• The telescopic worklight and power supply unit must not be immersed in water or other liquids.

Electrical shock hazard! Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of
moisture sources, e.g. in the bathroom.
• If the appliance should fall into water or other liquid, fi rst disconnect the power plug and then remove the appliance!
• Only connect the power supply unit to a properly installed socket, with voltage corresponding to the “technical data”.

• When using an adapter plug or extension cord, they must comply with the valid safety regulations. The specifi ed maximum voltage must not be exceeded.
• Ensure that the socket is easily accessible so that you can remove the power supply unit if necessary.
• Lay the power cable so that it does not become a tripping hazard.

• Do not use the light: – if it is damaged, – if the charging cable is damaged, – the power supply unit or car cigarette lighter adapter is damaged.
• Unwind the charging cable completely prior to use. Be sure that the charging cable is not trapped, squeezed or damaged by sharp edges or hot items.

• Disconnect the power supply unit from the socket: – if you are not charging the appliance, – after each use, – before cleaning or putting the appliance away, – if an obvious fault occurs during operation, – in a thunder storm.
Always pull on the power supply unit, not on the cable.

Safety instructions
• Do not carry or pull the device using the electric cables.
• Do not make any changes to the telescopic worklight, to the power supply unit/cable or on the cigarette lighter adapter.
• Never attempt to open the device or penetrate it with metal objects.
• Rechargeable batteries and LEDs are not replaceable by operator.
• The light and connecting lines can’t be repaired or replaced, the light has to be disposed accordingly in case of a damage.

• If the power supply unit or charging cable is damaged, discontinue use and replace with the same type of power supply unit.
Fire hazard
• Do not leave the telescopic worklight unattended when it is being charged.
• Keep the telescopic worklight away from fl ammable materials.
• Do not cover the telescopic worklight or power supply with any other items.

• A rechargeable battery that has been removed for disposal must not be
damaged. Fire hazard from self-combustion!
Risk of property damage
• Do not use the telescopic worklight for longer than 3 hours. As soon as the brightness of the LEDs has noticeably declined, the telescopic worklight must be charged.

• Operating the telescopic worklight until the LEDs have extinguished leads to deep discharge of the rechargeable battery. This can permanently destroy the battery.
• Be sure to switch off the telescopic worklight when not in use.
• Charge the telescopic worklight prior to long periods of disuse.

the warnings below could lead to malfunction, electrical problems, excessive heat, FIRE, injury and/or material damage.
• The light may only be charged with the power supply unit supplied or with the 12 V car cigarette lighter adapter.
• The device may only be charged under supervision.
• After the device has been charged, always disconnect the light from the battery charger and allow it to cool down before use.

• Lithium-ion batteries are mechanically sensitive . They can ignite due to an internal short circuit or when coming in contact with air.
• A damaged lithium-ion battery, e.g. if the light becomes damaged, can ignite 30 or more minutes later.
• Lithium-ion batteries must never be short circuited. A battery removed for disposal can ignite due to a short circuit.

• A burning battery must not be extinguished using water, but rather with sand.
Disposal
• Also dispose of the packaging materials properly and in an environmen­tally sound manner. These are raw materials and should be recycled.

• Every consumer is legally obligated to submit batteries and rechargeable batteries to the proper collection center in their community, district or to retailers. All batteries and rechargeable batteries can then be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Prior to the disposal of the telescopic worklight, the rechargeable battery must be removed, please refer to “Remove rechargeable battery prior to disposal”.
Damaged rechargeable batteries must be disposed of in accordance with valid regulations and ordinances.
• Keep removed batteries away from children, do not throw into fi re, short circuit or dismantle.

• If battery liquid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. When coming into contact with battery acid, immediately rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water and immediately contact a physician. If you suspect a battery to have been swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
