Thank you for purchasing a product from EFALOCK Professional. To ensure a proper and safe use, please read the instructions carefully and always take into account. This manual supplies information for the correct and safe use of the device. We hope you enjoy using your new EFALOCK BLACK Y and that you find it pleasant to work with.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
The BLACKY is made ready for use by inser ting the plug into the socket. Adjust the step switch (3 temperature levels, 2 speeds) to the desired power stage. You can operate the ‘cold’ button at the same time as any of the heat and speed settings.
CLEANING
Please note : only clean the BL ACKY when it has coo led right down! Take the mains plug out of the socket. Wipe down the outer casing of the device with a slightly moistened cloth. Do not let any water or other liquid trickle onto or into the device. The air intake grille on the back side must be inspected regularly for soiling. If necessary: clean the air intake grille.
IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE:
Before using the BLACKY it must be checked that the calibration of the electric current of the device is compatible with the socket. Basic safety precautions must be taken when using elec trical devices – especially when children are around – including the following: All the advice on safety should be read most carefully before use in order to limit the risk of an electric shock.
1. Unplug the device aer using it.
2. The device must not be used in the bath, in the shower, above a washbasin filled with water or with wet hands.
3. Do not use the device near baths, washbasins or other receptacles containing water.
4. The device must not be submerged into water or other liquids.
5. Do not touch a device that has come into contact with water – unplug it immediately.
WARNING – to limit the risk of fire, death by electric shock, fire or personal injury:
1. Never leave the device unsuper vised when it is switched on. Always wait until the de­vice has cooled o.
2. Great care is necessary w hen the device is us ed with or for children or when children or disabled persons are nearby.
3. The device must not be used for purposes for which it is not intended.
4. Do not use any individual parts that are not re commended or sold by the vendor.
5. Keep the s ervice c able away from hot sur faces. C heck freque ntly for damage, esp ecially to the point s at which the cable is joined to the device an d the plug. If in doubt have t he device checked by an authorised repair workshop.
6. If the device is not functioning correctly, has been dropped or damaged, or has fallen into water – do not try to open the device yourself, but take it to a customer ser vice point.
7. Do not wind the ser vice cable around the device – leave it extended.
8. If the device’s mains connection cable is damaged it must, in order to avoid danger, be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service provider or by some similarly qualified person.
9. If the dev ice is used in a bathroom it must be unplugged aer use be cause the proximi­ty of water constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched o.
10. As an addit ional protect ion we recommend t he installation in t he bathroom wiring s ys­tem of a residual current circuit breaker (FI) with a rated tripping current of not more than 30 mA (Milliamperes). Ask your plumber for advice.
11. People (including c hildren) who are not in a posi tion to use the dev ice safely bec ause of their phy sical, s ensor y or intelle ctual c apabiliti es or bec ause of th eir lack of e xperi ence or knowle dge should not us e this device wi thout super vision o r instruc tion by a resp onsib­le pers on. Children sho uld be super vised to ens ure that they do not p lay with the dev ice.

DISPOSAL
The elec trical appliance must be handed over to the local public disposal facilities for dispos al if it is no longer to be us ed. Such dispos al facilities us ually operate spe ­cial acceptance points for electrical appliances (recycling yards, reusable-materi-
als yards, etc.). The electrical appliance must not be disposed of as residual waste. This also applies to electrical appliances that at their end of life were used in non-private environments, i.e. in commercial or business environments. Waste-advisory services will provide information about environmentally-friendly disposal if the local public disposal facilities do not accept electrical appliances that were previously used in non-private en­vironments.
WARRANTY
EFALOCK grant s the statutor y warranty on all product parts that are not subject to wear with its small electrical appliances. The rights from this warranty apply alongside the statutory and/or contractual warranty rights which the purchaser is entitled to exercise against the vendor. The warrant y period commences with the handover of the appliance. The time of the handover must be demonstrated by presentation of the receipt, invoice, deliver y note or similar. The warranty period depends on the term of the statutor y period of limitation defined for warranties in the national law of the countr y in which the applian­ce was purchased but is no longer than two years. Defects that occur during the warranty perio d and of which we are noti fied in writing wi thin three week s of their occurr ence will be remedied without cost on condition of verification of proper use. Repairs must be carried out at our factory or at a sales point that has been authorised by us. The customer is not entitled to make any fur ther claims on the basis of this warranty. Defect s caused by the following are excluded from the warrant y: – Incorrect use or insuicient care – Exces sive use, incorrect treatment, maintenance or damage through external forces – Non-obser vance of the instructions of use – Repair or attempt at repair not carried out by EFALOCK or an authorised service partner Replaced parts will become our property when repairs are carried out within the scope of the warranty. EFALOCK will be entitled to eliminate the defec t by supplying an appliance of the same type. Further customer claims arising out of this warrant y, particularly for the reimbursement of expenses, price reduction, compensation for damages or the right to withdraw from the contract, do not exist. Statutor y or other contractual claims made as a result of mate rial defects will remain unae cted. The warranty period will not be ex tended as a result of the provision of warranty performances. We reser ve the right to charge the resulting costs should our customer services be required to deal with unjustified warranty claims. In the event of defects, please contact the vendor of the appliance or the EFALOCK service par tner in your countr y.
