• When using the microphone with the stand recommended by Roland (ST210 or ST-259), make sure the legs of the tripod are opened wide enough to keep the equipment from falling over. The stand must be carefully placed so it is level and sure to remain stable.

FEATURES
• Shotgun microphone enables single-unit stereo acquisition
• Compact and lightweight for superior portability, perfect for field recording
• Two-position switch for wide stereo pickup (WIDE ST) or exceptional directivity (FOCUS)
• Includes low end roll-off (high-pass filter) switch (cutoff frequency: 80 Hz)
• Condenser microphone (requires 11 to 52 V DC phantom power)
* Supply from plug required for both left and right channels
OPERATION
1. Connect the XLR connector (5-pin) to the microphone.
2. Connect the other ends of the cable to the inputs of the unit you use, such as mixer.
3. If you wish to install the microphone to a microphone stand, use the supplied mic holder. If the mic holder does not fit the stand, try exchanging the screw adapter. (U 5/8, W 3/8)
LOW-CUT SWITCH
Cuts lower-range portions of the audio. Cutoff frequency is 80 Hz. Switch to “LO CUT” to cut audio at 80 Hz and lower frequencies. The low end is not cut when this is switched to “FLAT.”
DIRECTIVITY SWITCH
Switches the directivity of the stereo mic. In the “WIDE ST” position, the mic switches to a wide
stereo pickup pattern. Switching to “FOCUS” raises the sensitivity at the front of the mic, increasing the directivity.
PIN ASSIGNMENT
The pin assignment for XLR type connectors is as shown below. Before making any connections, make sure that this pin assignment is compatible with that of all your other devices.
