13. What is Local Domain Server ?

All SIP extensions are all used in LAN (Local Area Network), they all use Private IP and it is not connected to Internet. In this environment, VES3302 is Local Domain Server. No STUN server is required (Disable) and WAN IP is not needed. All SIP phone or gateway uses Private IP to register to VES3302 and make calls.

14. What is Public Domain Server ?

If SIP device in Internet needs to register VES3302, then VES3302 acts as Public Domain Server and a Public IP address is required. If it uses Private IP, try to configure it to pass through NAT (Firewall) by either enable the support from STUN Server or specify WAN IP by yourself. Open port number for VES3302 as Server Port in IP sharing device is also required.
If you configure VES3302 as Public Domain Server, we strongly suggest you to configure Registration Password. Please refer to chapter 10 Configure of SIP
Registration Password
22
Page 25
15. Is a single VES3302 able to act both Public Domain
Server and Local Domain Server?
No, VES3302 is unable to support this structure. If VES3302 is configured as Public Domain Server, we suggest you to use Public IP and all SIP extension use Public IP, too. Use only Private IP to register Local Domain Server.

16. Unable to make call to other SIP phone
