INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please study these instructions carefully before installing your new Victor Series Competition Y-pipe system. If you have
any questions, contact our Technical Hotline at: 1-800-416-8628 , 7am - 5pm, Monday-Friday, Pacific Standard Time
or e-mail us at [e-mail]. Please fill out and mail your warranty card.

1. With Edelbrock headers part #6570 installed, slip the left inlet adapter tube onto the left header collector.

2. Slip the Y-pipe assembly into place. The right side will slip directly onto the header collector, the left side slips over
the adapter tube that was installed in step 1.

3. Install T-bolt clamps as needed on header collector and on left inlet adapter. Position the clamps so the bolt is either
on the top or the side of the tubing for best ground clearance. The short adapter tube can be used, if needed, to attach
the vehicle’s exhaust system to the new Y-pipe assembly.

4. Be sure the hanger bar welded to the Y-pipe assembly is fully engaged into the insulator and the insulator is straight
and the attaching bolts are tight.

Note: If O2sensors are to be used, supplied O2bungs can be welded onto the Y-pipe where they are needed. Simply

mark the tube where you want the sensor, drill a 5/8” hole and weld the bung to the tube.

Special Components that may be needed, if applicable: Oxygen Senson Simulators may be purchased from the
following: SLP PT #31036, Phone [phone]; Mid America Designs, Inc. PT #609132, Phone [phone];
RPM Outlet, Phone [phone].

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Suggested Tools for Installation:

❑ SAE and metric socket set and rachet
❑ Drill motor and 5/8” drill bit*
❑ MIG or Gas welder*

*If O2sensors are being used.

Note: Your competition y-pipe is intended to be used on off-highway non-emission vehicles. It does not have a California

Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) Exemption Order (E.O.) number. This Y-pipe is designed to fit 1998-2002 Camaro
and Firebird with 5.7L LS1 V8 Edelbrock race headers part #6570 and #65701.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may

result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
