MODICATION PROCEDURE
3. Mark hose 1” from end and wrap masking or strapping tape tightly around hose at cut point to minimize fraying. Hold hose in vise to cut. Hose can be cut with a pneumatic cutoff wheel or hacksaw. Cut as straight and square as possible. Remove tape after cutting hose
.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may
result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
NOTE: Due to a difference in engine fuel inlet location, it is necessary to shorten the Russell Fuel Hose 1” for proper
fitment on 2005-2006 (6.0L LS2) models. Please follow the steps below to accomplish this:
1. Hold red socket feature of either hose end in a vise (with soft jaws or a rag) and unscrew blue nipple assembly from socket (counter-clockwise) using a proper-sized chrome SAE wrench.
2. Remove socket from vise and then remove socket from hose by pulling and twisting clockwise.
4. Hold socket in vise and push hose into socket while turning counter-clockwise. Make sure socket is seated against end of hose.
