DESCRIPTION: Aluminum Fuel Rail Kit #3628 is designed for 1986-1995 Ford Mustangs with the 5.0L V8 engine. This fuel rail was designed to fit stock manifolds as well as Edelbrock Performer (3821), Performer RPM (7123), and Victor Manifolds (2945). Spacers and/or grinding will be necessary for fuel rails to clear Edelbrock manifolds. It will be necessary for the customer to supply their own fuel crossover and fuel pressure regulator, such as Edelbrock PN 1728. It is designed to be used with stock or standard height injectors with a 2.50” o-ring to o-ring spacing such as our Edelbrock MotoTron injectors. See our catalog under
“EFI Replacement Parts”
for details.
FUEL RAIL KIT: Install fuel rail kit and your injectors using the included 1/4”-20 bolts. Apply an o-ring assembly lube to the injector o-rings before installing them into the manifold and fuel rails. Brake system assembly lube works well. Make sure that the o-rings of the injectors create a complete seal with the fuel rail and the intake manifold to prevent any air or fuel leaks.
Kit includes the following:
2 - Machined fuel rail extrusions (fuel rail ends tapped for 3/8" pipe)
4 - Fuel Rail Bracket
4 - ¼”-20 x 1” Socket Cap Bolt
4 - ¼”-20 Hex Nut
8 - 10-32 x 1/2” Hex Cap Screws
4 - ¼” .300” Spacers
4 - ¼” Washers
1 - 3/8” NPT Plug
FINAL CHECKS: After finishing assembly, check the following:
Check the fit of each injector. They should be able to rotate freely. The O-rings should be fully inside their
respective bores.
Activate the fuel pump and fully check the system for any leaks prior to starting the engine.
