The Receiver and Carrier Installations are now complete. Proceed to Operation for immediate use of DataCOT™ unit.
Receiver Installation
Select applicable 5.25” drive bay in which to install DataCOT™
receiver assembly. Remove ller plate if present.
Slide receiver frame into the drive bay of the PC case. Secure the receiver to the PC case using the screws provided. Refer to the “WIRING DIAGRAM SHEET” for proper data and power connection.

Hard Drive Installation for Carrier
Remove the DataCOT™ carrier cover. The cover will snap off from the rear of the carrier. Mount the hard drive by connecting the male connector of hard drive to the female connector of the carrier. Secure the hard drive in place by using the screws provided. Replace cover on the carrier. The cover will snap into place by applying pressure to the rear of the cover. If desired, secure cover using the screws provided for added security.

Operation of DataCOT™ Unit
Insert carrier by sliding into receiver. Rails inside receiver will ensure proper alignment. The carrier guide pins will snap into receptacles in receiver for secure connection. The DataCOT™ unit features an electronic key lock that directly powers the unit on/off*. Lock the carrier into position to power unit on and prevent unintentional removal during operation. Turn the key lock 90 degrees clockwise into horizontal position. Unit is now locked, powered on, and ready for operation. When the DataCOT™ is powered on, the green power LED should be
illuminated to conrm the unit is operational.
* Some models feature a non-electronic key lock that functions independently from drive power.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Labor:
For the product’s lifespan, if the product is determined to be defective, Edbentor will repair or replace the product with an equivalent, at its option, at no charge.
Parts:
Edbentor will supply, at no charge, new or rebuilt replacements in exchange for defective parts for the life of the product. This warranty does not apply to the hard
drive installed in the product.
This warranty does not cover a product that has been damaged due to accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation, usage not in accordance with the product
specications and instructions, natural or personal disaster, or unauthorized alterations, repairs, or modications. Edbentor reserves the right to determine
warranty eligibility.
Limitations:
No warranties for this product, expressed or implied, shall extend to any person who purchases the product in a used condition.
Edbentor makes no other representations or warranties as to the tness for a
particular purpose, merchantability or otherwise in respect to the product. No other representations, warranties or conditions, shall be implied by statute or otherwise.
In no event shall Edbentor be responsible or liable for any damages, including
but not limited to the loss of revenue or prot, arising:

Before shipping any unit for repair, obtain an RMA number for warranty service. When shipping your product, pack it securely, show the RMA and serial number of the product on the outside, ship prepaid and insured. Edbentor will not be held liable for damage or loss to the product in
shipment.
