HOW OUR UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY WORKS |
PATENTED DESICCANT ROTOR
The Desiccant Rotor is the heart of the DryFan® system. It is an array of
especially absorbent membranes – patent protected – arranged as a series
of corrugations (as shown in the cut-away image) to give a vast surface
area that was developed over many years, making it an extremely efficient
moisture collector.
PATENTED REGEN HEATER
A patented ceramic PTC Regen Heater. (PTC Positive Temperature
Coefficient) is self regulating so never to overheat. However, as triple safety
we include a separate overheat smart sensor in the dehumidifier.
The patented technology is both safe and energy efficient and can never
overheat to hazardous temperatures, even if vents become accidentally
blocked.

POSITIONING (1)
UK
POSITIONING
The models have been designed for indoor use however,
they can be placed inside or outside the room to be dried.
Internal Positioning:
When positioning the unit inside the room, place it
centrally, ensuring inlet and outlet ducts are clear of
obstruction. If required, ducts can be connected to the
outlet and/or inlet (where fitted) to direct the drying
to specific areas. The ‘Wet Air Out’ MUST be ducted
outside the room.
External Positioning (Outlet Duct Fitted Only):
When positioning the unit outside the room, connect
ducting to the outlet to direct the dry air-stream into
the room to be dried. Optionally, the inlet may also be
ducted to the room to give a re-circulation eect. In
this case however, because the unit uses a portion for
the inlet air for regeneration. Provision must be made
in the inlet duct to draw air also from outside the room.
FIXING
The dehumidier can be
mounted in any position, even
upside down. Skewed, tilted or
upside down. No spirit level is
needed (therefore ideal for use
in ships and boats). Turn out
the feet at the bottom of the unit
and you will see the xing points.
Secure all 4 feet with screws or
bolts (not supplied) to the oor,
wall or ceiling.

POSITIONING (2)
Note:
External ductwork will reduce restrict airow and therefore the amount of water the dehumidifiers will
extract. To maximize airow and water extraction always keep any ducting to minimum.

OPERATION (1)|
All controls are located at the front of the unit, next to the air intake.
1. Continuous Fan; "white spot pressed" is on.
2. Dust cover with an RJ11 connector behind it for the remote control
3. LED light. Led lights up showing status
4. On of switch of the unit. "I" is on, "O" is o.
5. Socket for 230V. Protective cap also prevents the cord
from slipping loose.
6. Holder for fuse 230V - 10 A
OPERATION
Check the rating plate. Connect the unit to the correct mains voltage and
lines. Place the “wet out duct” outside the room/area to be dried.
Turn the unit on (“I”).
STAND ALONE
Turn o the remote control switch. Press the black area of the switch.
The unit will now operate continuously 24/7 without a remote control
maximum dehumidication.
REMOTE OPERATION WITH HUMIDISTAT (EPHUM-I-DRY)
For remote operation it is necessary to connect the humidistat controller
(provided) via the cord and RJ11 connectors (plug on the humidistat and
into “2” on the unit). The dehumidifier will now be controlled by the remote
humidistat that is using low power and only 12V. Download the manual
via the QR code (page 3). The lower the number, the dryer the room.

NOTE: A low setting of say 10% means the room is regulated to a very dry
level while a setting of say 90% the room will be maintained at a relatively
humid level. The right level for the room may vary with weather,
temperature and occupation conditions over time.

OPERATIO
OPERATION (2)
CLEANING
Disconnect from the mains before cleaning or servicing the unit or any of its
components.
Wipe regularly clean with a moist cloth (a soft, damp cloth) and a
mild household detergent, Never use chemicals, petrol, aggressive detergents or
other cleansing solutions
.
AIR FILTER
The dehumidifier has an inlet air filter. This should be checked periodically and
if necessary cleaned. It can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or hand
washed in mild detergent only. Replacement filters are available from your
supplier. ATTENTION: Do not run the unit without a filter fitted
as dust will impair the performance of the Rotor.
Remove the plug from the socket before checking fuses. If the appliance
does not work, check the appliance fuse 230V-10A and/or the plug fuse (UK
only) 230V-13A.
Attention!
As an added safety feature, if this dehumidifier overheats internally, the internal
safety fuse will stop the unit from working. To reset this fuse, unplug the
dehumidifier from the power source and then plug it in again. Check filters are
clean and ducting allows adequate air flow to operate.
Attention!
The unit will run 5 minutes after turned o for internal cooling!
Changing Air Filter
1) Slide down both black lips at
the same time.
2) Fold the lter housing forward.
3) Take out the lter and exchange
it for a clean lter and close the
lter housing again.
