EcoNet EZW1204 Quick Start Manual

EZW1204 Quick Start Guide
The EZW1204 Z-Wave Leak Sensor requires 3 x AA batteries. Depending on controller and leak configuration, a standard set of alkaline
batteries should last 3+ years. We recommend lithium batteries for a longer battery life.
The EZW1204 can be wall mounted using the snap-in base with wired leak sensor or it can be placed on the floor in sensitive areas.
Sensitive Leak Locations:
Floor by hot water tank
Below Dishwasher
Bathroom/s behind toilet (wall mount configuration)
Floor behind fridge with ice maker/water
Under kitchen sink (wall mount configuration)
Sump pump (wall mount configuration
Caution: If you do not have experience installing and configuring EZW1204 type of devices, please consult a professional installer.

Floor Mounting:
Select a clean area that is likely to pool water in the case of a leak. Place the EZW1204 (without wall mount base) on the floor or surface in this leak sensitive area. The surface should be flat so that EZW1204 is resting with all three spring loaded pins touching the floor or flat surface. The wall mount kit should be use for the installation in areas where the sensor might be disturbed or move by a pet or person.
Wall Mounting:
The wall mount bracket can be mounted using the double-sided tape or an appropriate wall screw. (screw not included) Plug the wired sensor into the wall bracket and check positioning and distances for both the wall bracket and the water sensor disc and mark positions. Mount the wall bracket (wired plug at 180 degrees pointing down). Mount the sensor disc using double-sided tape so that it is in an ideal position to sense water. Snap the EZW1204 into the wall bracket and test by wetting the sensor disc with a wet cloth. The EZW1204 must be positioned in the wall bracket properly for the disc sensor to work.
Installing Batteries:
Counter Clockwise with a small twist open the EZW1204 to expose circuit board, LED x3, switch and battery holder. Install the 2 x AAA batteries and leave the cover for access to the pairing/inclusion switch.
