SUBJECT: BATTERY DISCONNECT

KIT # 76721-00, 76724-00, 76722-00

and 76723-00

FITS MODELS: CHIPPERS AND

CHIPPER/SHREDDERS

WARNING

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine,
shut off power source, remove key, disconnect the
battery cables and make sure all moving parts have
come to a complete stop.

These instructions will describe how to install the battery
disconnect switch on the models listed in the table
below.

Insert the screw and handle. 5.

Install the positive (+) battery cable from the engine to 6.
one of the terminals on the back of the shut off switch,
it does not make a difference which terminal is used.

Install the supplied cable to the other terminal and 7.
then to the positive (+) battery post.

NOTE

All kits use the same disconnect switch and decal.

INSTRUCTIONS

Refer to the images on the following pages to know 1.
the approximate placement for the battery disconnect
switch. Be sure the cables from the battery disconnect
switch can reach the engine battery.

Using the template provided on page seven to mark 2.
the drill hole locations and then drill a 3/4" hole and a
1/4" hole 0.81" apart.

Remove the screw and handle in the center of the 3.
switch assembly. Remove the nut and washer off the
switch. (Figure 2)

After the holes are drilled insert the switch assembly 4.
and reinstall the washer and nut.
