The E.C.A KRONOS PT 24 room sealed combi boilers are intended for central heating and domestic hot water use. KRONOS room sealed combi boilers work with natural gas.
With its design that makes service and maintenance easy, and dimensions of 720x400x330 mm, it saves space in the places of use. It has an elegant look with its rounded lines and design.
The control panel is designed in an ergonomic structure. The operating functions, central heating circuit and domestic water temperatures, fault status setpoints in case of possible faults, water pressure information and current values can be viewed on the LCD.
The appliance's operating functions and safety are achieved from a single center, ‘controlboard’. The controlboard controls the gas valve, fan, circulation pump and the 3-way valve. Presence of flame in
the burner can be monitored on the LCD screen.
The burner is made of stainless steel material resistant to temperature and thermal stresses. It works quietly with its special design, and provides efficient and clean combustion as a result of homogenous distribution of the gas. A perfectly insulated combustion chamber is designed in ideal dimensions according to the burner, providing high efficiency and low gas emissions with minimal heat loss. In addition, an aluminum recuperator has been used to transfer the thermal energy obtained by lowering the waste gas temperature to water. In this way, more efficient operation of the device is ensured. These features of the burner, the recuperator and the combustion chamber ensure fuel efficiency and minimum noise level.
Three-speed circulation pump has an automatic purge valve and suitable for all installations. The appliance has a 'pump over-run' feature that prevents heat accumulation at the installation. With this feature, the circulation pump continues to run for a certain period of time after the need for central heating and/or hot domestic water has ended.
High efficiency is achieved with a long-life, copper heat exchanger designed as thermal shock resistant. In addition, there is a steel plate heat exchanger in the appliance to obtain comfortable and efficient domestic hot water. Therefore, the installation water and the domestic water never mix.
With the safety systems in your appliance, both you and your appliance are fully safe. These safety systems;
• Flue Safety
• Blowout Safety
• Overtemperature Safety (105°C)
• Domestic Water Overheating Safety (71°C)

- For the places where the appliance can be installed, the regulations stipulated by authorized gas companies should be followed.
- If the appliance is installed in a cabinet, the distances required for maintenance and repair should be at least as shown in Figure 3.
- Two air vents must be installed below and above the cabinet, the vents prevent the appliance from heating by providing the ventilation of the cabinet. Areas of 110 cm2 for the cabinet vents directly connected to the outside air, and 110 cm2 for the cabinet vents connected to the indoors must be left. Since the outer surface temperature of your appliance does not exceed 85°C at maximum heating power, special protective measures are not necessary against combustible building materials and elements. By the authorized gas organizations, the following limitations have been set out for the places where your room sealed appliance can be installed;
• The appliance must not be installed
In the stairwells of buildings,
• In the public use corridors of the buildings,
• On the chimney walls,
• In the light areas of the buildings.
Do not install your combi boiler in locations that will be exposed to direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause color change on the outer surface of your appliance over time.
WARNING: The installaon locaon of the room sealed appliance and the locaon of the room sealed flue outlet must comply with the instrucons specified by the authorized gas organizaons.

Determining Where to Install the Appliance
INSTALLATION
Page 10
Figure 4
The position of the flue outlet is one of the important points to be considered when determining where to install the appliance. The flue outlets must be connected directly to the outer environment and to places with air circulation.
Flue outlets must not be connected to;
• Passageways and corridors,
• Narrow eaves spaces,
• Ventilation and light spaces of buildings,
• Balconies (open or closed),
• Elevator cavities and to the underside of the protruding door parts that prevent waste gas discharge,
• Openings that provide fresh air to other units,
• Courtyards between the buildings,
• Places that may be exposed to direct wind resistance.
• The distance from the front of the exterior roofing or wooden covering to the flue outlet must be 1,5m at least. (Figure 4a)
• Flue outlets should be protected with stainless or galvanized steel wire mesh cages in locations where there is likely to be an impact to the flue outlet. This should be considered where there is vehicle traffic. (Figure 4b)
• At places where people pass, for example on pavements, the flue outlet height should be at least 2m. (Figure 4c) For semi-basement buildings facing the sidewalks, this height can be at least 1m provided that necessary safety precautions are taken.
• Where there is no human or vehicle traffic, it must be at least 0.3m high. (Figure 4d)
• For the apartments on the top floors of the buildings, conditions for the flue outlets of room sealed appliances being directed to the light areas of the building are; the vertical direction should be raised with original parts belonging to the manufacturer and the end point of the light area should be reached. (The total length of the flue must remain within the permissible limits here.) In addition, the distance between the exit point and the roof ridge, the number of apartments benefiting from light, and the condition of the windows should be assessed.

• The condensing appliances should be installed with an upward slope of 1-2% to the outside so that the condensation water does not flow out. (Figure 5a)
• The distance of the waste gas outlet to the opposite building must be at least 3m in the direction of the waste gas discharge. (Figure 5b)
• The distance between the flue outlets of C type appliances should be at least 2.5m upward. In addition, the waste gas outlets of these appliances must be 30 cm below the lower edge of the window. (Figure 5c)
• “C” type devices below ground level (basement floors) can only be installed if the combustion air and exhaust gas pipelines of each device are opening to their own ducts. The cross-sectional area of the ducts should be at least 0.75m2 and the small side dimension of the duct should be at least
0.5m. There should be no air vents or windows opening to these ducts.
• In C type appliances, the combustion air and waste gas pipe mouths must be at a horizontal distance of at least 5m from the fuel pumps and fuel tanks.

Page 12
If the appliance is installed underneath the roof or in a room under the roof/terrace,
• The flue outlet should be at least 40 cm above the rooftop. (Figures 5d and 5e)
• The ceiling must be resistant to high temperatures. The “room sealed flue group” which provides the supply of clean combustion air and the discharge of the waste gas should be insulated with high temperature resistant material in the roof space.
• If the ceiling is not of high temperature resistant material the “room sealed flue group” must be insulated from the ceiling passage with incombustible material or enclosed in a separate protective
pipe.
• In order to prevent condensation in pipes, the part of the room sealed flue group remaining in the roof space must be absolutely insulated.

Points to Consider About Flue Connections
After the location where the combi boiler is going to be hanged gets determined,
• Using the installation template on the last page of the device's installation and user manual, the locations of the fixing screws of the wall hanger bracket and mounting bracket are marked.
• After drilling the marked places, the wall hanger bracket and mounting bracket are securely fixed with the dowels and fixing screws coming out from the package of the appliance.
• After the combi boiler has been raised high enough, the hanger bracket on the rear surface of the combi boiler is placed on the hooks on the wall hanger bracket and the combi boiler is hanged on the wall.

Connection of Horizontal (Ø60 / 100 mm) Room Sealed Flue Set to the Combi Boiler
Because your combi boiler is a room sealed model, it takes the air it uses from the outer environment and discharges the waste gases that form as a result of the combustion to the outer environment from the same flue group. The use and installation of the flue is very important in order to prevent the emission of highly harmful waste gases to the environment, so the warnings must be considered when making flue connections.
INFORMATION
• Make the flue selection for the flue connection to where your combi boiler is installed and the outer environment. If the standard flue set is not enough for installation, choose the most suitable accessories from our list of connection accessories, taking into account the warnings mentioned in our user
manual.
• Fix the flue connection flange by screwing it into the holes on the combi boiler using the flange gasket. (Figures 9a-9b)
• Place the two sealing gaskets, which come out of the room sealed flue set, into the inner tube grooves at both ends of the 90° elbow.
• Fit the EPDM joint gasket to the 90° elbow in such way that it touches the limiting set inside the gasket.
• Place the two sealing gaskets, which come out of the room sealed flue set, to the part of the elbow where extension piece is to be mounted.
• In order to group the flue outlet terminal, fit the exterior wall gasket to the flue extension piece.
• Install the interior wall joint gasket on the flue terminal after passing the flue through the flue hole opened on the wall. (Figure 9c)
• Fit the flue extension piece to the 90° elbow. (Figure 9d)
• Then place the 90° elbow on the flue connection flange and fasten it with the clamping screws. (Figure 9e) Finally, after tightening the screws on the EPDM gasket that we have placed and left loose, push the interior wall joint gasket in a way it touches the wall to ensure sealing of the wall and the flue.
The horizontal outlets should be installed with an upward slope of 1-2% to the outside so that they do not discharge the condensation water out.

INFORMATION
The electrical connection cable of the appliance must be supplied in a grounded power supply line which can provide enough voltage for the appliance (230V AC, 50Hz). Controlboard faults caused by voltage fluctuations and absence of grounding and damage that may occur to your appliance are not covered by the warranty.
WARNING: Care must be taken to ensure that there is absolutely no voltage on the power line when the electrical connecon of the appliance is being done.
Always connect your appliance to a 230V AC, 50Hz grounded power outlet. If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by E.C.A authorized services.
A 2 amp bipolar fuse with a minimum contact opening of 3mm must be used in the electrical connecon of the combi boiler.
Electrical Connection
• • In condensation combi boilers, condensation occurs during combustion. The amount of condensation water differs according to the operating conditions of the appliance.
- The condensation water must be connected to a drain by means of a plastic hose which is connected to the end of the siphon. The use of standard drain hose is recommended for connection to the drain. The addition of 1 cable tie on the hose must be made for fixing.
- If the drain hose is to be connected to a drain from the outside of the building, it should be insulated if it is necessary for the hose not to freeze.
- The condensation water drain hose and interconnection parts must be made of plastic material.
- All horizontal hose connections must be downwardly bent by 2° or 3° to ensure good flow through
the drain hose.

INFORMATION
Information Required for Safe and Economical Use of Your Combi Boiler
• Insulation of your building is extremely important. Significant energy savings are achieved since heat loss is minimized in double-glazed houses with their walls sealed, and sheathing done.
• The use of thermostatic valves in your radiators ensures that the room temperatures remain constant and fuel efficiency is achieved.
• Throttling the radiator valves in the rooms that will not be used for a long time and keeping the doors closed reduces the fuel consumption.
• If you use your combi boiler with a room thermostat, it keeps the room temperature at the level you set and provides less fuel consumption.
• Closing the radiator tops and fronts with furniture-like things negatively affects hot air circulation, thus preventing the environment from heating and increasing fuel consumption.
• If you are going to leave your appliance in operation late at night, keeping the temperature of the central heating circuit low will provide saving.
• If you feel that the room temperature is high, the radiator valves should be throttled instead of opening windows.
• If the electricity of your appliance is disconnected on cold days, freezing which may occur in your installation or your combi boiler may damage your appliance or installation. To prevent this, you should not disconnect the electrical power of your device, especially on cold days.
However, if you do not need heating (for example, if you go on a short holiday for 1-2 days), you need
to bring the appliance to the OFF position so that you can use it more economically.
In the OFF position only frost protection will be active. The rumors that the bill will come higher because the gas is consumed more when the combi boiler is turned on and off, are wrong.
Remember that the most economical way to use is to keep your appliance in the OFF position if you do
not need heating.
* Responsibility for the inconveniences resulting from the use of different brand thermostats will not be accepted. * The room thermostat connection is visible on the electrical circuit diagrams. (Page 5, Figure 1)

INFORMATION
- When the water filling process is in progress, the installation water pressure value is monitored in the pressure indicator on the LCD screen of your appliance. The pressure value on the LCD screen should be between 1-2bar. When this value is reached, close the filling valve.
It is designed in a telescopic structure so that you can grasp
the filling tap better, you can use it more comfortably when you pull the tap down.
* Responsibility for the inconveniences resulting from the use of different brand thermostats will not be accepted. * The room thermostat connection is visible on the electrical circuit diagrams. (Page 5, Figure 1)
STARTUP AND USE
Last Controls and Actions to Perform Before the Start-Up
CAUTION: Definitely close the water filling valve. If it is le open, the installaon water may leak and damage the envi-
ronment.
CAUTION: It is recommended that you do not use well water, natural spring water, etc. except the mains water to prevent calcificaon of the heat exchanger.
20
1) Filling water in the combi boiler and water installation
- First of all, the electrical connection of the combi boiler is made.
- All the radiator valves are opened.
- The valves of the supply and return lines of the combi boiler must be open. Check.
- After this, start the water filling process by opening the filling valve slowly.
- Whether or not there is air in the central heating circuit is checked from the purge valves on the radiator. For fully efficient heating all air should be discharged from the installation.
- After the air discharge has been done, check the water pressure on the LCD screen again. In case the pressure decrease, repeat the water filling procedure.
- Finally, check for leaks in the radiators, the installation pipes and the connections.
Page 23
INFORMATION
At the end of the start-up of the appliance after installation, ask for information on operating the appliance and the security mechanisms.
The start-up of the appliance must be done definitely by the authorized service.
2) Check the domestic water installation by opening the hot water tap. Look for any leakage in
the installation pipes.
3. The waste gas flue group must be assembled from the original parts in accordance with the
instructions.
IT IS IMPORTANT,
The electrical connection of the appliance must be connected to a grounded power supply line
which can provide enough voltage for the appliance (230V AC, 50Hz).
The gas line must be controlled by the authorized gas company and open.
After all these operations are completed, the authorized service must be called for the start-up of the
