Ebel has always cultivated quality as a corporate philosophy. Upholding uncom­promisingly high standards in this respect, worthy of the Swiss Made label, it
applies the highest prevailing norms within the watch industry. Ebel focuses resolu­tely on making customer satisfaction its chief priority, an overriding concern for
quality that is one of the main characteristics recurrent throughout its different
lines.

This unswerving determination is backed by a number of significant technical
means and procedures, such as the use of tried, tested and patented systems like
the one that guarantees the water-resistance of its winding crowns, even within
the limited volume provided by certain ladies’ models. Ebel displays relentless
insistence on even the smallest details in order to maintain the level of quality it
has set for itself. Thus, for example, in a watch crystal such as on the Tarawa line,
the tiniest inclusion or air bubble might be prejudicial to the product reliability and
impair the owner’s pleasure.

Ebel products demand the best components and the noblest materials, typified
by the quality of the diamonds used (IF to VVS1), the excellent grade of mother­of-pearl for the dials, or the full grain and hand-sewn alligator leather straps. The

The various stages of production for an Ebel watch include no fewer than 235
“checkpoints”, all equally crucial and all involving stringently conducted controls,
in order to ensure the reliability of each component and to guarantee its longe­vity. However, above and beyond the technology and the state-of-the-art
machinery employed at each step, it is undoubtedly the knowledge and
experience of Ebel personnel that play the most crucial role in maintaining and

Caring for the watch

Like all mechanisms, your watch and its metal bracelet are subject to wear out,
especially since your watch runs day after day without interruption. It is therefore
important to care for it properly, which above all means protecting it rigorously
against moisture and dust.

The water-resistance of your Ebel wristwatch has been tested in conditions
corresponding to submersion in water at the depth that is engraved on the
caseback. We recommend you rinse your watch and its metal bracelet carefully
with fresh water and clean them with a soft brush and liquid soap. Such steps, if
carried out regularly, will help preserve the watch and prevent it from getting
clogged with dust and sweat, especially after a swim in a pool or in the sea or
after practicing a sport which involves exposure to dust or sand. Your Ebel watch
can be worn safely in showers, while swimming or for aquatic sports but it must
never be used as a diving watch.

Quartz watches are sensitive to magnetism. It is therefore wise to keep your watch
away from any object transmitting magnetic waves, such as Walkman radios,
electric keys, shavers, etc., which could ultimately cause the watch to stop. If that
happens, take the watch to an Ebel dealer.

Finally, any intervention carried out by an authorized Ebel service center is
automatically covered by a 12-month warranty, even if the 3-year warranty has
expired.

Warranty

Except for leather straps, all Ebel watches are covered by an international
warranty against any manufacturing defect, that will be honored by all Ebel
official service centers. The Ebel warranty is valid for a period of three years from
the date of purchase of the watch from the authorized retailer.

For quartz watches, the battery is covered by the warranty during the first
calendar year from the date of purchase only. Beyond that year of warranty, the
cost of replacement of the battery at an official Ebel service center shall be borne
by the consumer. Such a service includes: control of the movement; battery
replacement; watch-case gaskets replacement and water-resistance test.

This international warranty shall only be valid if the watch has been purchased
from a retailer approved by Ebel or its distributors, whose name, address and
signature must appear on the front of the warranty card together with the indica­tion of the date of purchase, the model of the watch and its serial number.
This warranty card must be presented together with the watch to an official Ebel
service center or dealer for all in-warranty servicing. Any work performed on an
Ebel watch by an unauthorized person or entity, or any alteration to the serial
number engraved on the watch shall automatically render this international
warranty null and void.

All Ebel watches are accompanied with directions for use including recommen­dations of care and maintenance that should be respected. This international

warranty does not apply in case of damage resulting from improper use or
mistreatment of the watch.

The terms of this international warranty do not in any way restrict or otherwise
affect any possible statutory rights to which the consumer may be entitled by law

Ebel a toujours fait de la qualité une philosophie d’entreprise. Les normes
techniques sans compromis qu’elle applique, correspondant au label «Swiss
Made», sont les plus élevées du secteur horloger. La priorité absolue d’Ebel est la
satisfaction de ses clients, et ce souci constant de la qualité est une des princi­pales caractéristiques immuables dans toutes les collections de la marque.

Cette détermination à toute épreuve s’appuie sur un certain nombre de moyens
techniques et de procédures, tels que l’utilisation de systèmes éprouvés, testés et
brevetés. Par exemple, le système breveté garantissant l’étanchéité des

Entretien de la montre

Comme tout mécanisme, votre montre et son bracelet métallique sont sujets à
l’usure, et ce d’autant plus qu’elle fonctionne jour après jour sans interruption. Son
entretien est donc très important, et vise principalement à la protéger contre
l’humidité et la poussière.

L’étanchéité de votre montre Ebel a été testée à une profondeur correspondant à
celle gravée sur le fond de votre montre. Il est recommandé de rincer soigneusement
votre montre et son bracelet métallique à l’eau douce et de les nettoyer avec une
brosse douce et du savon liquide. Ces gestes d’entretien pratiqués régulièrement
préservent les matériaux et évitent leur encrassement par la poussière et la transpira­tion, et en particulier après une baignade en piscine ou en mer ainsi qu’après un
sport vous exposant à la poussière ou au sable. Votre montre Ebel peut donc être
exposée à l’eau sans risque lors de douches, de baignades ou de la pratique de
sports aquatiques, mais ne doit jamais être utilisée comme une montre de plongée.

Les montres à quartz sont sensibles aux champs magnétiques; par conséquent, il
est prudent d’éloigner votre montre de tout objet émettant des ondes électro­magnétiques, tels que baladeurs, clés électriques, rasoirs, etc., qui peuvent à la
longue provoquer l’arrêt de la montre. Si tel est le cas, apportez-la chez un distri­buteur agréé Ebel.

Enfin, toute intervention effectuée par un Centre de service agréé Ebel est
automatiquement couverte par une garantie de 12 mois, même si la garantie de
3 ans est échue.

Garantie

À l’exception des bracelets en cuir, toutes les montres Ebel sont couvertes par une
garantie internationale contre tout défaut de fabrication. Cette garantie Ebel,
honorée par tous les centres de service officiels de la marque, est valable trois ans
à partir de la date d’achat de la montre auprès d’un détaillant agréé.

Pour les montres à quartz, la pile est couverte par la garantie pendant une seule
année à partir de la date d’achat. Au-delà de la première année, le remplace­ment de la pile dans un centre de service officiel Ebel est à la charge du client.
Ce service inclut: la vérification du mouvement, le remplacement de la pile et
des joints de la boîte et un essai d’étanchéité.

Cette garantie internationale est valable uniquement si la montre a été achetée
auprès d’un détaillant agréé par Ebel ou par ses distributeurs, dont le nom,
l’adresse et la signature doivent apparaître sur la carte de garantie, avec la date
d’achat, le modèle de la montre et son numéro de série.

Cette carte de garantie doit être présentée avec la montre au centre de service
officiel Ebel ou à un revendeur agréé pour obtenir tout service relatif à la
garantie. Toute intervention effectuée sur une montre Ebel par une personne non
autorisée ou toute atteinte portée au numéro de série gravé sur la montre
annulent automatiquement cette garantie internationale.

Toutes les montres Ebel sont accompagnées d’instructions d’utilisation compre­nant des recommandations de nettoyage et d’entretien qu’il convient de

Kompromisslose Qualität lag Ebel schon immer am Herzen. Sie ist fester Bestandteil
der Unternehmensphilosophie. Hohe Fertigungs-Standards, eines «Swiss Made»
Labels würdig, werden mit Bedacht auf die anspruchsvollsten, geltenden Normen
in der Uhrenbranche eingehalten. Kundenzufriedenheit und Qualität stehen im
Fokus aller Anstrengungen des Hauses Ebel.

Eine Reihe von technischen Mitteln und Verfahren ermöglichen das Halten dieser
Standards, wie etwa die bewährten und patentierten Systeme, die die
Wasserdichtigkeit der Kronen selbst bei den geringen Volumen gewisser
Damenmodelle gewährleisten. Ebel legt größten Wert selbst auf kleinste Details,
um das selbstgesteckte Qualitätsziel einzuhalten. So könnte beispielsweise bei
einem Saphirglas der Tarawa-Linie schon die winzigste Einschließung oder ein
Luftbläschen die Zuverlässigkeit des Produkts beeinträchtigen und die Freude
seines Besitzers trüben.

Für Ebel-Produkte werden nur die besten Komponenten und die edelsten
Werkstoffe verwendet. Beispiele dafür sind die Qualität der eingesetzten
Diamanten (IF bis VVS1), der hohe Gütegrad des Perlmutts für die Zifferblätter
oder das handgenähte Alligatorvollleder der Armbänder. Die für die
Fassungsarbeiten zuständigen Experten berechnen die Position der Diamanten im
Gehäuse sehr genau, so dass diese möglichst viel «Feuer» entwickeln. Schließlich
verleiht die Sorgfalt der Endbearbeitung, das meisterhafte Satinieren oder
Polieren der fertigen Uhr den letzen Schliff für vollkommene Schönheit.

weniger als 235 «Checkpoints». Jede dieser Stationen sieht strenge Kontrollen vor,

Wartung der Uhr

Wie jeder Mechanismus ist auch Ihre Uhr einschließlich des Metallarmbands
Abnützungen ausgesetzt, zumal sie Tag für Tag ohne Unterbrechung funktioniert.
Es ist daher wichtig, die Wartung der Uhr nicht zu vernachlässigen, denn sie zielt
vor allem auf die Aufrechterhaltung des absoluten Schutzes vor Feuchtigkeit und
Staub ab.

Der Wasserdicht-Test Ihrer Ebel-Uhr wurde unter Bedingungen durchgeführt, die der
im Gehäuseboden eingravierten Wassertiefe entsprechen. Wir empfehlen Ihnen,
Ihre Ebel-Uhr und das Metallarmband mit klarem Wasser abzuspülen und mit einer
weichen Bürste und flüssiger Seife zu reinigen. Regelmäßig durchgeführt schützt
dies die Uhr und verhindert die Verschmutzung durch Staub und Schweiß. Vor allem
nach dem Baden im Chlor- oder Salzwasser und nach sportlicher Betätigung in
staubiger oder sandiger Umgebung ist die Reinigung empfehlenswert. Ihre Ebel­Uhr kann also beim Duschen, Baden oder Wasserspot bedenkenlos Wasser
ausgesetzt werden, jedoch darf sie nicht als Taucheruhr verwendet werden.

Quarzuhren reagieren auf Magnetismus. Es ist daher ratsam, Ihre Uhr von Geräten
wie elektronischen Fernbedienungen, tragbaren Musikgeräten, Rasierapparaten

Alle Ebel-Uhren sind durch eine internationale Garantie gegen jeden
Fabrikationsfehler abgedeckt. Diese Garantie wird von allen offiziellen Ebel­Servicecentern weltweit gewährleistet und gilt drei Jahre ab Kaufdatum bei
einem autorisierten Ebel-Konzessionär. Ausgenommen sind lediglich
Verschleißteile wie Lederarmbänder.

Bei Quarzuhren fällt der Batteriewechsel im ersten Jahr nach Kaufdatum unter
Garantie. Danach ist der Batteriewechsel kostenpflichtig. Zum Batteriewechsel in
einem offiziellen Ebel-Servicecenter gehören : Prüfung des Uhrwerks;
Batteriewechsel, Erneuerung der Gehäusedichtungen und Dichtigkeitstest.
Die internationale Garantie ist nur gültig, wenn die Uhr bei einem von Ebel autori­sierten Konzessionär gekauft wurde, dessen Name, Adresse und Unterschrift auf
der Vorderseite der Garantiekarte eingetragen ist, zusammen mit Kaufdatum,
Modell- und Seriennummer.

Die Garantiekarte muss zusammen mit der Uhr einem offiziellen Ebel­Servicecenter oder Konzessionär bei jedem Garantie-Service vorgelegt werden.
Bei von nicht autorisierten Personen oder Firmen durchgeführten Eingriffen an
einer Ebel-Uhr oder einer Manipulation der eingravierten Seriennummer erlischt
die internationale Garantie.

Alle Ebel-Uhren werden mit einer Gebrauchs- und Pflegeanweisung geliefert, die
beachtet werden sollten. Die internationale Garantie greift nicht bei Schäden, die

Mantenimiento del reloj

Como en cualquier mecanismo, el reloj y el brazalete están sujetos a cierto
desgaste, sobre todo si el reloj se utiliza a diario sin interrupción. Por lo tanto, es
importante llevar a cabo periódicamente un mantenimiento adecuado. Éste
sirve ante todo para proporcionar una protección total contra el polvo y la
humedad.

La estanqueidad de su reloj Ebel ha sido comprobada a una profundidad que
corresponde con la que está grabada en el dorso de su reloj. Se recomienda
enjuagar cuidadosamente el reloj y la pulsera metálica con agua y limpiarlos
con un cepillo blando y jabón líquido. Si se efectúa regularmente este tipo de
limpieza, los materiales se conservarán mejor y se evitará que se deterioren por
efecto del polvo, de la transpiración, etc. Conviene realizar esta limpieza,
especialmente, después de darse un baño en una piscina o en el mar, o después
de practicar un deporte en el que el usuario del reloj se exponga al polvo o a la
arena. Su reloj Ebel es resistente al agua y puede ser usado en la ducha, en el
mar o la piscina y durante la práctica de deportes acuáticos, pero nunca debe
utilizarse como reloj de submarinismo.

Los relojes de cuarzo son sensibles a los campos magnéticos; por lo tanto, se
recomienda mantener el reloj alejado de todo objeto que transmita ondas
magnéticas como walkman, mando a distancia, maquinilla eléctrica, etc., que
a largo plazo pueda provocar la parada del reloj. Si esto ocurriese, se

Por último, cualquier intervención de un Centro de servicio autorizado de Ebel
queda cubierta automáticamente por una garantía de 12 meses, incluso si ha
vencido la garantía de 3 años.

Garantía

Excepto las correas de piel, todos los relojes Ebel están cubiertos por una garantía
internacional contra cualquier defecto de fabricación, que será subsanado por
los servicios técnicos oficiales de Ebel. La garantía Ebel será válida durante un
periodo de tres años a partir de la fecha de adquisición del reloj a un distribuidor

La tarjeta de la garantía deberá presentarse junto con el reloj en un estableci­miento o servicio técnico oficial de Ebel para que realicen cualesquiera de las
intervenciones cubiertos por la garantía. Cualquier reparación efectuada en un
reloj Ebel por una persona o entidad no autorizada, así como cualquier altera­ción del número de serie grabado en el reloj anulará automáticamente la
presente garantía internacional.

Todos los relojes Ebel incluyen instrucciones y recomendaciones en materia de
cuidados y mantenimiento que deberán respetarse. La garantía internacional
dejará de ser válida cuando en caso de una utilización indebida o de daños
ocasionados al reloj.

Manutenzione dell’orologio

Come ogni meccanismo, anche il vostro orologio e il suo bracciale in metallo
sono soggetti ad usura, soprattutto se sono costantemente in funzione, 24 ore su

cui principale obiettivo è di assicurare una protezione totale contro l’umidità e la
polvere.

L’impermeabilità di ogni orologio Ebel è testata alla profondità indicata sul
fondello dell’orologio. Si raccomanda di risciacquare accuratamente l’orologio
ed il bracciale metallico in acqua dolce e di pulirli con uno spazzolino morbido e
sapone liquido. Se praticate regolarmente, queste semplici operazioni di
manutenzione ordinaria preservano i materiali dall’usura evitando le incrostazioni
di polvere e la traspirazione, particolarmente frequenti dopo un bagno in piscina
o in mare oppure al termine di un’attività sportiva che implica l’esposizione alla
polvere o alla sabbia. Il vostro orologio Ebel può quindi essere esposto all’acqua
senza rischio per farsi la doccia, per nuotare o per praticare sport acquatici, ma
non deve mai essere utilizzato come orologio da immersione.
Gli orologi sono sensibili al magnetismo; è pertanto prudente allontanare l’oro­logio da tutti gli oggetti che trasmettono onde magnetiche come walkman,
chiavi elettriche, rasoi, ecc. che alla lunga possono provocare l’arresto dell’oro­logio. In tal caso portare l’orologio da un concessionario Ebel.

Fatta eccezione per i cinturini in pelle, tutti gli orologi Ebel sono coperti da
garanzia internazionale per qualsiasi difetto di produzione. La garanzia è valida

di acquisto dell’orologio presso un rivenditore autorizzato.

Per gli orologi al quarzo, la batteria è coperta da garanzia soltanto per il primo

гравировки на задней крышке Ваших часов. Мы рекомендуем Вам тщательно ополаскивать
часы и металлический браслет пресной водой и чистить их мягкой щеточкой и жидким
мылом. Если Вы будете регулярно выполнять процедуру чистки, то поможете Вашим часам
надолго сохранить рабочее состояние и предотвратите попадание внутрь пыли и грязи,
а также запотевание, особенно после купания в бассейне, море или после занятий спортом.
