These instructions should be read carefully and left with the user of the product

BEFORE USE
Inspect the product for signs of damage. If the product is damaged, DO NOT
use it, and contact your supplier immediately.
PRODUCT SAFETY
Splash proof only, do not submerse in water.
Use only the correctly rated and type of battery.
DO NOT mix new and used batteries as this will affect the battery life.
Observe correct polarity when fitting batteries.
DO NOT point directly at any person who is closer than 3.5m (10ft)
from the megaphone and always adjust the volume to the conditions.
FITTING BATTERIES
To fit the batteries first release the battery compartment by pushing the catch in
at the rear of the handle and open cover.
Insert 4 x D type batteries, observing the correct polarity on the base and
cover.
Replace the cover and securely push till the button clicks

The P637A megaphone can be used in several ways, before use turn the
volume to its minimum position and increase as necessary. Never start with
the volume at the max level;
1. To use as a conventional megaphone ensure that all the buttons are
in the OFF position (out) and then push the On/Off button ON (in) (the
ON indicator will illuminate). You can now talk through the microphone
and the sound will be amplified according to the volume level set by
the slider control.
2. The P637A can be used as a siren, to do so push the Talk/Siren
button IN and then push the ON button. The siren will continue till the
ON/OFF or Talk/Siren buttons are switched to the OFF position.
3. The megaphone has a 8s record function. If you wish to make a
repeated announcement first press the Record button in, then press
the ON/OFF button to begin recording (the Record indicator will
illuminate). The maximum record time is 8s. When finished push
either the Record or ON/OFF button to stop recording. To play back
push the Play button (ensure the Record button is in the OFF position)
then the ON/OFF button, the recording will playback as a loop until the
ON/OFF or Play buttons are turned OFF.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
You must not dispose of this unit with domestic household waste.
Most local authorities have specific collection system for electrical items and
disposal is free of charge to the end-user.
