NOTES

Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new appliance. It is important to keep these
instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features available. The manufacturer is not
responsible if the appliance becomes damaged or defective as a result of the user not following the information
included in the instruction manual. If the appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired
by an authorised service engineer.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

The following safety instructions must be followed when using the appliance.
Please read this section very carefully!

Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specific situation, so we ask you to
apply commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a situation that isn’t described below.

• This appliance has been designed for household use only, no other (heavy duty) uses are permitted.

• Never use the appliance outdoors.

• Attention! Never leave the appliance connected to the mains when it is unattended.

• This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people, or persons without
experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a person supervises or guides their use of
the device, who is at the same time responsible for their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended
to make sure that they do not play with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under
the age of 14, not even with supervision!

• To avoid risk of electric shock never immerse the appliance or its power cord or plug into water or any other
liquid. Also take care not to splash water or any other liquid onto the motor unit and do not touch it with
wet hands. Make sure to keep the appliance dry at all times and always connect the appliance to the electric
mains with dry hands. In the case of the appliance becoming wet, never try to touch it but immediately
unplug from the mains network, and then take it to an authorised service centre for repair.

• The mains connector must be always disconnected from the wall socket after use and before cleaning. Never
disconnect the appliance from the socket by pulling the mains cable; always grip the plug!

• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet also when removing or mounting individual subassemblies from
or on the motor unit, and/or when you wish to clean the appliance.

• Take care not to touch the rotating parts of the appliance during operation. The blades on the attachments
very sharp.

• Do not put your hands into the feeding aperture of the equipment, always use the filling rod.

• The appliance’s attachments are very sharp, so always handle them with care, especially while washing-up.

• Protect the edge of the attachments during storage.

• Never operate the appliance when it is empty.

• Do not use appliance with foods that are too tough such as sugar, stewed or raw meat.

• Some vegetables (for example carrots) include natural colorants that may stain the plastic parts of the
equipment. However this doesn’t affect the usability of the equipment.

• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose for use with the
appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular function.

• Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around
the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance with the mains cable because
the cable can break or the insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised
service engineer. The appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.

• Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.

• The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the temperature is too high or too low or where the
appliance is subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or vaporous conditions. The appliance
can be used within the temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the range of +5°C to +40°C.

• Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.

• Do not allow any objects to fall into the motor unit ventilation slots. Do not insert anything into these slots,
as this can cause damage, electric shock or a short circuit. Take care to prevent unwanted solid or hard objects
from falling into the mixing bowl as these could cause accidents or damage the appliance.

• Before turning on the equipment, please check whether the food processing attachments are properly
fitted. Do not remove any attachments from the food processor whilst the appliance is being operated (or is
connected to the mains electricity supply). Before removing any attachment, ensure that the motor is at a
complete standstill.

• Warning!
This appliance was designed to be used intermittently. Do not use, continuously, for a period of more than
1 minute. After use, allow to rest for at least 10 minutes. During rest period the power cord of the appliance
should be unplugged from the wall outlet. Failure to allow the applicance to properly rest could result in
damage.

Failure to observe the rules for intermittent use (1-minute operation, 10-minute rest) can result in
the overheating protection system installed on the equipment to be activated. If you experience
the equipment stopping during operation due to any of the above reasons, turn it off by pressing
the off button then unplug the equipment from the wall socket and wait 30 minutes. Following
this, continue operating the equipment following the recommendations for the use of this
equipment. If the equipment does not operate even after the 30-minute standstill period, take it
to an authorised service centre for repair.

• Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If you need a longer cable between

the appliance and the wall socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an electrical
dealer. When using an extension cord, be careful not to create a hazard that you or someone else
could trip over.

• Warning! Disassembling the appliance, opening the casing or attempting to repair it at home

are forbidden - non compliance with this instruction might result in serious accidents. The inside
of the appliance does not contain any parts that can be repaired at home or used for any other
purpose. Never use the appliance with damaged power cable or connector, if operation is erratic
or if it was dropped and is otherwise damaged. If the appliance has become faulty for any reason
or moisture has got inside the casing, take it to an authorised service engineer for checking or
repair. Only skilled experts are authorised to repair the appliance. The manufacturer is not liable
for damages if home repair has been attempted or the instructions in the operating manual
have not been complied with.

Dear Customer,

All electrical and mechanical equipment needs to be cared for appropriately. It’s important to
note that using or storing the appliance in certain conditions may adversely affect its lifespan and
functionality. Always protect the appliance from the conditions listed below.

Using or storing the appliance in a wet, humid or damp environment can cause:

- deterioration and premature aging of the cover and electric insulation of the appliance,

- premature wearing and aging of the plastic and rubber components,

- rust and corrosion affecting electrical components and metal parts.

Using the appliance in a dusty environment or in the kitchen (where the air may be contaminated
with vapours from cooking oil or grease) can cause:

- greasy dust coatings on the mechanical and electrical elements and the casing of the appliance,
which could result in electrical contact failure or even complete breakdown, and could also
damage the plastic and rubber elements.

The effects of direct sunlight on the appliance can include:

- accelerated deterioration of the appliance casing and its plastic and rubber components,
damage to strength and other structural features. The appliance’s surface may become porous
and fragile, which may result in a safety risk.

Continuous heavy duty use may cause:

- premature structural wear and tear and premature aging of the motor due to extensive use of
the appliance, resulting from wear and tear and overheating due to continuous use.

Storing the appliance in cold or frosty environment may cause:

- damage to the plastic and rubber components; if they become fragile, this may result in a safety
risk.

- oxidation resulting from condensation, and corrosion of the metal components.

Direct and indirect heat (e.g. being too close to an oven or a heating appliance) can cause:

- damage, deformation, softening or melting of plastic or rubber parts and casing elements, or
deterioration of electrical insulation.

Following the operating instructions and avoiding any of the conditions listed above will help you
increase the lifespan of the appliance. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance is stored
inappropriately or contrary to these instructions. You are recommended to have the appliance
serviced regularly by an authorised engineer to keep it working for as long as possible.

Please respect the environment when the appliance reaches the end of its life. Electrical products
must not be disposed of with other residential waste because they can damage the natural world
and may be hazardous to human health. You should dispose of the appliance at an appropriate
recycling site or by using a collection service that specialises in electrical appliances.

Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them
this instruction manual, too!

POWER SUPPLY

The device must only be plugged into an electric mains supply of 220 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Always check that the site voltage is identical to that indicated on the device nameplate.

USING OF APPLIANCE

1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.
Never leave the nylon packing bag, which is part of the package, within the reach of children who could play

with it.

Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only

perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

2. Clean the equipment in accordance with the instructions in the section “Maintenance, cleaning of the

equipment”.

3. Ensure that the food to be grated or sliced is small enough not to block the aperture of the head.

4. Before operating, place the equipment on a flat, stable surface.

5. Mount the head on the basic unit so that the filling aperture
aligns with the open padlock symbol, and then rotate it toward
the closed padlock symbol. Ensure that both locking shoulders fit
properly. In the case of incorrect placement the appliance may
become damaged, which is not covered by the manufacturer’s
liability.

Insert the selected attachment into the head so that it engages in the lower edge of

the head’s opening from inside. If necessary, rotate the attachment in a clockwise
direction.

7. Connect the power plug to the wall socket and turn the wall socket on.

8. Hold down power button whilst inserting the food through the
filling aperture and carefully press down on it using the filling
rod. If blockage occurs, never try to force it through but turn off
the appliance, unplug the power cord, take off the head unit,
remove the attachment and press the stuck material back from
inside. Otherwise the head unit may get damaged, which is not
covered by the manufacturer’s liability.

9. When finished or when you wish to change attachments, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

10. Rotate the head so that the filling aperture aligns with the open padlock symbol, and then remove it.

11. Take out the attachment from the head by rotating the attachment in a counter-clockwise direction, and
then pull it out by lifting through the lower flange located on the head’s opening.

The individual attachments and their field of application:

a) Coarse grater: for carrot, zucchini, potato
b) Medium grater: for carrot, zucchini, coconut
c) Fine grater: for hard cheeses, dry bread, nut
d) Thick food cutter: for carrot, onion, cucumber, potato
e) Thin food cutter: for cucumber, apple

Never put your hands or any tool into the feeding aperture, always use the filling rod.
Warning!
The appliance was designed to be used intermittently. Following a maximum 1-minute
continuous operation, it is very important to allow a rest period of at least 10 minutes. During the
rest period the power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the wall outlet. If you fail
to observe the rest period, the equipment may become damaged.
Never put your hands into the feeding aperture, always use the filling rod.
Never operate the appliance when it is empty.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning! Before you clean the appliance it must be switched off and the mains plug must be
removed from the wall socket.
It is very important never to immerse the motor unit in water and not to hold it under running
water.

• No part of the appliance or its accessories should be cleaned in a dishwasher.

• Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then wipe the cleaned

surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care not to allow any moisture inside the cover. Let the appliance dry
completely before re-using or storing it.

• Wash up the attachments and the head in water containing mild, neutral, washing-up liquid, and then rinse

under running water. Let the appliance dry completely before storing it.

• When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as these may solve

the casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do not use cleaning agents with
coarse or grinding effect.

zawsze trzymać wtyczkę!

• Odłączyć kabel zasilający od gniazda ściennego podczas wyjmowania lub montażu poszczególnych
podzespołów z lub na urządzeniu silnikowym i/lub kiedy chcemy wyczyścić urządzenie.

• Uważać, aby nie dotykać obracających się elementów urządzenia podczas pracy. Ostrza na końcówkach są
bardzo ostre.

• Niektóre warzywa (na przykład marchewki) zawierają naturalne środki koloryzujące, które mogą plamić
plastikowe części w urządzeniu. Jednakże nie wpływa to na użytkowanie urządzenia.

• Nigdy nie używać żadnego urządzenia ani akcesoriów, niedostarczanych przez producenta ani niezalecanych
do wykorzystania z urządzeniem. Użycie takich urządzeń może prowadzić do wypadków bądź nieregularnej
pracy.

• Nie dopuścić aby jakiekolwiek obiekty wpadły do silniczka lub otworów wentylacyjnych. Nie wsadzać niczego

do tych otworów, jako że może to powodować uszkodzenia, porażenie prądem lub zwarcie. Nie pozwalać,

gniazda ściennego. Niezastosowanie odpowiedniego okresu spoczynku może doprowadzić do uszkodzenia
urządzenia.

Niedostosowanie się do zasad użytkowania z przerwami (1-minutowa praca, 10-minutowy
spoczynek) może prowadzić do przegrzania systemu zabezpieczenia zainstalowanego na
urządzeniu i jego zadziałania. Jeśli urządzenie zatrzyma się podczas pracy z powodu jednej z
wymienionych przyczyn, wyłączyć naciskając przycisk, następnie wyjąć wtyczkę z gniazdka
i poczekać 30 minut. Następnie kontynuować pracę na urządzeniu, postępując zgodnie z
rekomendacjami użytkowania sprzętu. Jeśli sprzęt nie działa nawet po 30-minutowym okresie
przestoju, należy przekazać go do autoryzowanego centrum serwisowego celem naprawy.

• Przedłużanie i przerabianie kabla sieciowego aparatu jest zabronione! O ile własny

• Uwaga! Demontaż urządzenia, zdejmowanie obudowy oraz próby samodzielnych napraw w

domu są zabronione - niedostosowanie się do tej instrukcji może doprowadzić do poważnych
wypadków. Urządzenie nie zawiera żadnych części, które mogą być reperowane w domu lub
wykorzystywane w jakimkolwiek innym celu. Nigdy nie używać urządzenia, jeśli wtyczka lub
przewód zasilania zostały uszkodzone, jeśli jego praca jest nieprawidłowa, lub jeśli spadło
