trike adapter assembly on the model 200iX and 250iX motorcycle dynamometers

EXTENDED CARRIAGE WITH TRIKE ADAPTER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
Use the following instructions to remove the carriage assembly, install the extended
support (P/N 78100003), install the trike carriage adapter (P/N 71300002), and install
the extended carriage assembly.

EXTENDED CARRIAGE WITH TRIKE ADAPTER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
Use the following instructions to remove the carriage assembly, install the extended
support (P/N 78100003), install the trike carriage adapter (P/N 71300002), and install
the extended carriage assembly.
You will need the following parts:

REMOVINGTHE CARRIAGE SCREWAND CARRIAGE
The monitor stand and high pressure blowers are not shown for clarity.
If the carriage is not installed, skip to “Installing the Extension Support and Trike
Carriage Adapter Assembly” on page 6.
1Remove the four 1/4-20 x 1/2-inch button-head screws securing the bearing
bracket and set aside.
2Using the hand crank, or the control panel to run the power carriage, run the
carriage screw out of the carriage assembly and set aside.
3Slide the carriage assembly towards the rear of the dyno. Remove the carriage
assembly and set aside.

REMOVINGTHE CARRIAGE CLAMPS, SHIMS, AND NUT BLOCK
If the carriage is not installed, skip to “Installing the Extension Support and Trike
Carriage Adapter Assembly” on page 6.
1Remove the two 5/16 x 1-inch bolts and two 5/16-inch lock washers securing each
carriage clamp and shim and discard. This hardware will not be used.
2Remove the three carriage clamps and shims and discard. These will not be used.
3Remove the two 5/16 x 1-inch bolts and two 5/16-inch lock washers securing the
nut block and shim and discard. This hardware will not be used.
4Remove the nut block and shim and discard. These will not be used.

1Secure the extension support to the dyno using seven 3/8 x 1/2-inch button-head
flange bolts.

2Secure the trike carriage adapter assembly to the dyno and the extended support
using five 5/16 x 1-inch button-head bolts as shown in Figure 4.
3Secure the trike carriage adapter assembly to the dyno and the extended support
using two 3/8 x 1-inch button-head bolts as shown in Figure 4.
4Lube the tracks with the included lube or use grease.

Trike Carriage Adapter Installation
INSTALLINGTHE EXTENDED CARRIAGE ASSEMBLY
1If not already removed, remove the carriage screw from the extended carriage
assembly by removing the four 1/4-20 x 1/2-inch button-head screws securing the
bearing bracket and set aside.
2Place the carriage screw with the bearing bracket into the nut block.
3Using the hand crank, or the control panel to run the power carriage, run the
carriage screw through the nut block until the screw is all the way in the nut
block.
4Starting from the back of the dyno, slide the extended carriage under the carriage
clamps.
Verify the carriage screw is seated into the screw support bracket on the extended
carriage assembly.
5Secure the bearing bracket to the extended carriage assembly using the four
1/4-20 x 1/2-inch button-head screws removed earlier.
6Run the extended carriage assembly through the full range of motion and verify
there is no binding.
