Matters that demand special attention in using the unit.
You should read this article before you use the unit.
- User should not disassemble & assemble the unit for yourself.
- Do not drop the unit, or give it a mechanical shock. When the unit is not used, safekeeping is needed to avoid its damage.
- Don not use or place the unit in hot or humid condition. Be careful that the unit is not wet. Wetti ng can cause a critical damage that can m ake it impossible to repair the unit..
- Do not use the unit in the places which are exposed to the explosive or inflammable substances..
- Do not clean the unit with the inflammable solvents like alcohol, benzine and thinner, etc..
- Avoid using the unit while driving or walking. It might cause some unexpected accidents.
- Do no use different type of batteries together.
- When you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
- Avoid being put near by magnetic cards such as credit cards. Otherwise the cards may no longer be used.
- Note that our company does not reimburse you for any loss from the use of the unit or any demand of indemnity from the third person.
- Be understood that our company does not take responsibility for any memory loss by the reasons of breakdown, repair, and others.
- It could be illegal to use or duplicate the recordings beyond a private purpose.

Step 1 : Installing the batteries.
1. Slide to •(on the lid) direction and lift the battery compartment lid.
2. Insert two size AAA (LR03) batteries with correct polarity, and close the lid.

in 20 seconds when playing back. This is not breakdown but preventing the unit from being operated wrong by mistake.
4. The unit have a small rechargeable battery to preserve time & modes of the unit which have been already set during batteries are exhausted. However, if 30 minutes after the complete exhaustion of batteries is passed, the time & modes of the unit which has been already set will be erased. In this case, you should set the unit again after inserting new batteries.

-Do not use batteries together with other type of batteries.
-Be sure to replace both batteries with new ones when replacing the batteries.
-Do not recharge batteries and follow the instructions of batter makers.
Battery life is approximately ??? hours recording and ???????? hours playback with continuous use. The battery consumption in playback is more than recording. To turn up the volume up in playback need more consumption of battery. Therefore, if you use the unit with earphone and with turning down the volume, you can economize batteries. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ••• ••••• ••• •.

Step 2 : Setting date and time.
1. Press MENU until “SET DATE” is displayed on the LCD Window(Display Window).
2. Press ••, the year digits will flash. Press •(UP)• •(DOWN) to select the digits of the year. (Select last two digits of the year)
3. Press ••, the window which enter month & day will be displayed. Press •(UP)• •(DOWN) to select the digits of the month. And then Press ••,
select the day in the same way.
4.
Press ••, the window which enter time will be displayed. Enter AM/PM, hour, minute by turns in the way of entering month/day.
5. Press FILE to exit from the menu mode.

If the unit is not used for 2 minutes, the power wil l be off automatically to economize power and then only time wil l be displayed. (It is called ‘power saving mode’.) Press any button of the uni t to use it again. “ READY” will be displ ayed for 2~ 3 seconds and then “READY” wi ll be displ ayed. Thi s means that the unit is released from ‘power saving mode’ and ready for operation. Pressing •(UP) or •(DOWN) only plays a part of lighting up to show time. You should press other buttons except •(UP) and •(DOWN) to release ‘power saving mode’. The description of functions is drawn up on the basis of ‘operation mode’. Be sure to operate the unit after releasing ‘power saving mode’.

1. Put the Mic. toward sound source, press REC/STOP to record, ‘REC’ will be displayed in the display window.
2. Press REC/STOP again to stop recording. You can also stop recording by pressing STOP instead of REC/STOP.
The unit stops at the beginning of the message recorded currently.
You can record up to 99 messages (396 messages) in each file (from A to D). Each file is very

useful to save messages separately by classifying them according to the contents of the messages. Press FILE to select file before recording. Please make a trial recording in advance before recording.

During recording, the OPR indicator lights up in red and the message No. & time are displayed.

Since a newly recorded message is automatically added behind the last recorded message, you can

start recording quickly witho ut searching for the end of the last recording

Recording automatically in response to the VOR function
When VOR (Voice Operated Recordi ng) function is set to ON, recording starts when the recorder detects sound and stops when no sound is heard. VOR is set to save memory when long time recording is needed.
1. Press REC/STOP for more than 2 seconds.
2. Start recording with displaying “AUTO” “VOR” in the window.
3. Recording starts automatically when the recorder detects sound and stops when no sound is heard.
4. Press REC/STOP to stop recording automatically (VOR).
Recording f ro m mo bi l e phone with hand s- f re e ki ts .
1. Hands-free kits has two plugs. The red plug should be connected with the jack of the unit Mic and anot her one with th e jack of earphone. (In general the color of the button is red. You can remember easily that the plug color, being connected with the unit for recording, is also red) If the plugs are connected in the opposite way, the recording and the function of hands-free would not work.
2. Press REC/STOP to record during using mobile phone.

Hand-free Cable is designed specially for the unit. It is recommendable to use the products our company manufacture. Contact the place you buy the unit

Recording from external radio
If you buy a exclusive radio and connect it with the unit, you can listen to the radio and record it with hearing on the radio. You can also record it by reservation. Refer to “Setting External Radio” on the details.
Note
M-FULL will be displayed when memory is not enough to record anymore and recording will not be

available. Recording wil l be allowed after deleting unnecessary messages when there is no bar which shows the remaining memory. Do not take out batteries during recording because the wrong operation may be caused. Replace
-
batteries when time is displayed. Before making a long recording, be sure to insert new batteries and check the battery indicator.

The recorded message may erase due to breakdown or maintenance. You had better leave important
-
messages by memorandum. However the recorded messages will not be erased even though the power is not supplied for the unit. Noise may be recorded if an object, such as your fingers, etc. accidentally rubs or scratches the

Selecting the Recording Mode
1. Press MENU to adjust Recording Mode, SET MODE will be displayed.
2. Press ••, the present Recordin g Mode will be displayed.
3. Press •(UP)• •(DOWN) to selet “SP” or “LP” and press FILE to save.
SP(Standard Period) is half of LP(Long Period) in the recording time. SP
-
mode is superior to LP mode in the sound quality.
Pause during recording
Press MENU/PAUSE to pause during recording. Press MENU/PAUSE or REC/STOP to reco rd again. 10 minutes after you pause recording, recording pause is automatically released and the unit goes into the stop mode.
Recording separately the recording message
Press •• during recording, the number will be added one by one and be recorded by the added number.
