Compact loudspeakers – mini-monitors or

bookshelf designs – offer advantages over

larger models in their ability to be effectively

utilized in smaller rooms or in rooms where

space is limited. However, the performance

benefits are compromised when they are

positioned less than optimally. To get the

maximum performance benefit out of any

quality mini-monitor, a stand providing a

secure base should ideally be utilized to

allow optimum freestanding placement and

precise integration into the room.

and bottom plates eliminates resonance, while using

the optional top plate cones adds additional resonance

control.

Prior to mounting the top plate during assembly,

Dynaudio recommends that the individual columns be

filled to add mass in order to achieve greater reso-

nance damping and even greater stability.

The STAND2utilizes a unique three layer sandwich
construction in the top and bottom plates: the special

damping material between the top and bottom tiers of the

stand’s plates serves to reduce resonance to an absolute

minimum so the maximum performance from the loud-

speaker may be realized. The two laser-cut steel columns

can easily be filled with sand or lead shot to add mass and

weight, thus providing additional stability and resonance

damping properties to the stand.

The bottom base plinth conceals four height-adjustable

spike assemblies that make an incredibly small contact

area on the floor, enabling perfect stability and the flexibili-

ty of precise leveling on a variety of floor surfaces, while

maintaining an elegant appearance by keeping the spikes

out of view. The top plate incorporates an optional four-

cone spike assembly to further isolate the speaker from

resonance. To accommodate a wide range of various sized

loudspeakers, the
