From another hand of genius are Dynaudio loudspeakers. For 25 years, the greatest dreams
have become reality in the research and development laboratories in Skanderborg, Denmark.
Development and production is all conducted in-house, enabling the most sophisticated loudspeaker concepts. Every project can be designed from scratch and qualitatively optimized for
permanence. Dynaudio has taken equal measures for its carefully finished, furniture-grade
cabinets, hand-crafted by Danish master craftsmen, veneered with the finest non-endangered
woods and also built to last a lifetime.

The Evidence Temptation exudes a distinguished beauty. Each and every detail has been
designed with exceptional care and is crafted from the finest materials. Beneath its slender
appearance lies an extremely innovative concept, based on Dynaudio’s now legendary
technology. With the Evidence Temptation, music reproduction has been raised to a new level
of perfection, from its musically detailed presentation to its impressively powerful dynamics.
This level is a result of consistent improvements in basic loudspeaker technologies. Similar to the
advanced engineering of the Egyptian pyramids, cultivated and refined to a detailed and everlasting perfection, the Dynaudio engineering team isolated each end every particular detail of the
loudspeaker, over-thinking its construction, and improved the already highly refined
Dynaudio technologies to a new level of optimization. Some findings even produced new and unconventional ideas, which have materialized for the first time as a result the Evidence Temptation.
Dynaudio’s Danish engineers also achieved something unique in terms of loudspeaker performance. The Evidence Temptation not only naturally blends into any individual décor scheme,
due to the timeless elegance of its aesthetic design, but also perfectly integrates acoustically
into any listening room, due to the controlled dispersion of its symmetrical driver array and
intelligent crossover topology. A new technical development,
(DDC), greatly reduces the coloration and distortion otherwise resultant from particular room
acoustics. With DDC, an outstanding musical performance is ensured, one that is unaffected by
acoustic influences of the listening environment for the first time. Even with a large listening
distance from the speakers, the musical image is detailed, coherent and three-dimensional. As a
result, voices and instruments image much more realistically, and sound exactly as recorded in
the original studio session. Many recordings, disfavoured by music lovers because of a
disappointing sound in their room, can now be enjoyed with a fascinating authenticity.

Concept of Perfection Evidence Temptation
The Evidence Temptation utilizes an extremely complex
cabinet construction. The overall enclosure is a rigid and
solid sandwich construction that is internally cross-braced
and divided into independent chambers, thus reducing
resonances and vibrations.
Each chamber is individually optimized to provide a perfect
housing for the advanced technology integrated within. The
upper bass module integrates two bass drivers mounted on
a nearly 80 mm thick front baffle, and a bass reflex port
screwed into the backside. The relatively compact bass driv-

The properties of aluminium help to absorb and dissipate
heat from the drivers, while also providing the sensitive softdome tweeters a solid, resonance-free foundation. The aluminium surface is specifically sculpted to yield unaffected
dispersion and radiation of the high and mid-frequency
soundwaves, thus avoiding early reflections, therefore
becoming a major factor in the loudspeaker’s exceptional

with the special crossover layout, is an essential element of
DDC (Dynaudio Directivity Control). The result is a vertically
controlled dispersion where the sound wave energy reflected
towards the ceiling and floor is reduced by at least 75 percent. Reducing the reflections off of these critical boundaries

two hand-selected, matched-parameter soft dome tweeters
blend precisely with the two midrange drivers in the aluminium baffle, together yielding a perfectly smooth, linear
response. The innovative crossover is also an extremely
complex construction mounted on a solid aluminium back
plate, and is itself housed in a separate chamber.

critical aspect of the loudspeaker is the cabinet itself and its
massive base plinth. Constructed of a thick HDF wood
bonded together with a heavy metal plate, the plinth is
supported by an advanced, aluminium and brass spike-incylinder foot assembly that is adjustable for both level and
height, and that offers complete protection to the underlying
floor surface. Independent from the rooms’ floor, the
Evidence Temptation will always remain secure with a stable
and solid stand offering ideal resonance control.
Perfection to the Slightest Detail
The tweeters are soft-dome designs, achieving a
smooth and linear high frequency response without any
of the peaks typical of metal dome designs, and able to
reproduce impulses with several thousand watts. A
bandwith reaching well over 28,000 Hz renders them
ready for any advanced digital recording formats that
may emerge in the future. A light but rigid titanium bow,
completely neutral to the acoustic performance, is
affixed to the baffle to protect the dome.
The mid and bass driver cones are made of MSP
(magnesium-silicate-polymer), a material fusion develo-
ped internally by Dynaudio, with ideal inner damping
properties, low mass and high stiffness. The individual
cone shapes are geometrically optimized to allow a
balanced radiation pattern over the entire frequency
range. The cones are precisely controlled by extremely
light large-diameter aluminium voice coils, which are
powered by powerful neodymium magnet systems.
Perfection is a result of consistently improving
details based on knowledge gained through many
years of experience and specialization. Only a
manufacturer with a complete knowledge and
understanding of its entire breadth of materials and
components can ever reach this level of perfection.
Dynaudio is one of the very few loudspeaker manufacturers who develops and produces and optimizes
its components entirely in-house, from the voice
coil to the driver membrane material.
This level of perfection would not be possible if
Dynaudio had chosen to employ the available standard chassis and components rather than push the
limits of the state-of-the-art in its designs. The
Evidence Temptation - as does each and every
Dynaudio loudspeaker – exclusively utilizes proprietary Dynaudio technology individually optimised
for the model-specific concept, and is manufactured
to the highest standard of quality.
Evidence Temptation
The Evidence Temptation floor-spike assembly is in
itself a small work of art – a solid aluminium cylinder
integrates a hardened metal spike that makes contact
to an aluminium-cased brass bottom plate designed to
protect the floor. Each foot is height adjustable to pro-
vide a level and stable foundation on any floor surface.
Resonance from the cabinet is dissipated into the
ground, while vibrations between the cabinet and floor
are eliminated.
The soft, curved lines of the aluminium module subtly
mask the complexity of the technology hidden beneath
its skin. The module has been precisely milled to integrate
the internally mounted tweeters and midrange drivers
without any visible screws on the front. The tweeters’
rear chambers are sealed and acoustically damped to
minimize resonance and eliminate distortions that other-
wise would be caused by backwave reflections.
The Evidence Temptation is available with its bass modules finished in a
choice of fine bird’s eye maple or rosewood natural veneers (the panels of the
mid section are finished in a glossy black lacquer). A luxuriously finished, full
gloss-black piano lacquer version is available at a slight premium. Several other natural veneers and laquers are available upon request per special order.

All aspects relating to the performance criteria of the Evidence Temptation are
strictly controlled. Along all stages of the entire production process - from raw
material selection to final assembly and quality control - Dynaudio thoroughly
inspects each parameter along every step of the way. In turn, all Dynaudio loudspeakers are adorned with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The crossover is a unique example of
technical perfection, with high-grade
components each selected for their
audiophile quality. The crossover enables all eight drivers to maintain a
linear impedance. To achieve this, the
components must be integrated in a
complex layout on two levels, where
they are precisely laid out on a glassfiber reinforced PCB (print circuit
board) and are connected with extra
thick copper traces and high-grade
OFC (oxygen free copper) cables.
