2. SAFETY

2.1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

ATTENTION!
Operators and maintenance personnel must always comply with local safety regulations and precautions in order to close out the possibility of damages and accidents.
The pressure in hydraulic circuit of HSP pump is considerably high. Keep the condition of your equipment and hydraulic system under constant observation.
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
SAFETY
HIGH PRESSURE WATER AND OIL!
Can cause severe injuries. Always wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment.
Couplings, valves and hoses need to be kept tight and clean to avoid possible leakages. Leaks in the hydraulic system must be repaired immediately to avoid injuries caused by high pressure blowouts.
In order to avoid accidents, it is not allowed to clean or inspect HSP pump when hydraulic fluid circuit is pressurized. Prior to any cleaning, inspection and service, hydraulic system of your base machine must be stopped and all hydraulic fluid circuits must be depressurized.
Do not lift the pump by the hydraulic hoses.

2.2. SAFETY EQUIPMENT

WARNING
Always wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment such as safety goggles, safety shoes and ear protection when operating the HSP pump.

2.3. OPERATING SAFETY

When operating the HSP pump, beware of machinery parts warmed by hot hydraulic oil.
RISK OF BURNS!
The unit parts and hydraulic oil can be hotter than 80 °C!
Wear personal safety equipment!
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS

3. OPERATING PRINCIPLES

3.1. OPERATING DESCRIPTION

Simple construction ensures reliability and long service life of DYNASET HSP pump. Robust steel structure comprises discharge channel unit with incorporated pump housing.
Pump sub-unit consists of a hydraulic motor, body and impeller. Both body and impeller are made of high quality wear resistant steel. Hydraulic motors are gear, gerotor or piston type depending on pump. Pump can run dry because motor seal is oil lubricated, no water cooling required.
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
OPERATING PRINCIPLES

Picture 5: Operation description of HSP pump

1. The pump is driven by hydraulic motor. Hydraulic motor rotates the Impeller.
2. Water flows to inlet chamber via detachable screen.
3. The operation of the pump is based on the pressure shocks distributed by a three-blade impeller that goes from the pump housing and alternates through two discharge channels.
4. When the discharge pipes join together, the pressure shocks cause slight low pressure in the discharge channel in the rest mode, boosting its commencing work pace.
5. Water output via quick coupling.

4. INSTALLATION

4.1. INSTALLATION TO A HYDRAULIC TOOL LINE

The HSP pump is recommended to be installed into the base machine’s existing hydraulic tool line. Usually other installations are not required and the HSP pump can be operated from the existing controls.
Install the hydraulic tool lines pressure (P) and return (T) ports to their corresponding ports in the HSP pump.
Ensure that the hydraulic flow of the base machine is sufficient to run the unit. At least the nominal hydraulic flow must be available to get the maximum output power. Lower hydraulic flow reduces pumping output.
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION!
Ensure that the filtering degree and cooling capacity of the hydraulic system are sufficient. READ CHAPTER “10. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS” for more information.

6. MAINTENANCE

Due to small number of moving parts, in normal operating conditions HSP pump does not require any other particular service except (NLGl grade 2) grease fill. This maintenance concerns HSP 600, 2600, 4000, 7000, 10000 and 16000 models with grease nipples.
ATTENTION!
Before beginning any maintenance or repair, ensure that the system is stopped and completely depressurized. Make sure that the system can not start accidentally.
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
MAINTENANCE

6.1. MAINTENANCE INTERVALS

All maintenance must be complied with as they are scheduled in this manual. The following table provides maintenance schedule for DYNASET HSP pumps.
CHECK POINTS
Clean and inspect HSP pump x
Grease ll x
Change sealings of hydraulic motor x
After daily use If necessary
Replacement of sealings in hydraulic motor is occasional and depends on a cleanliness of hydraulic oil.

6.2. HYDRAULIC FLUIDS

Wide range of standard hydraulic fluids can be used with the Dynaset hydraulic equipment.
Depending on the operating temperature, following mineral hydraulic oils are recommended:
Mineral hydraulic oil Operation temperature up to
ISO VG 32S 70 °C
ISO VG 46S 80 °C
ISO VG 68S 90 °C
NOTE!
Recommended oil viscosity is between 10 to 35 cSt when operating at normal operating temperature.
Dynaset Oy | Menotie 3, 33470 Ylöjärvi | puh. 03 3488 200 | info@dynaset.com | www.dynaset.com
25
Synthetic and bio-oils can be used if their viscosity characteristics and lubricating efficiency are corresponding to above mineral oils.
Automatic transmission fluids and engine oils can be used also, provided that they are allowed to be used in hydraulic system of your carrier machine.
To use special hydraulic fluids with DYNASET equipment, please contact nearest DYNASET representative for an advice.

6.3. CLEANING THE HSP PUMP

ATTENTION!
Keep the HSP pump clean to enable its safe and longlife operation. Check and clean your HSP pump after every work shift.
HYDRAULIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS
MAINTENANCE

6.4. GREASE FILL

Use grease gun to grease the HSP pump. This maintenance concerns all models with grease nipple.
If HSP pump is equipped with grease valve, open the valve before adding grease.
