The HomePNA2.0 Switch HP-20C enables you to set up your private network at home with your existing telephone lines.
No additional network wiring is necessary. You may just
find a RJ-11 phone jack in the wall, put the phone line plug into the jack, and you can then be ready to access the broadband Internet.
No extra driver is necessary. No driver, no setting, just link.
Simply plug and play.
Via the RJ-45 Ethernet ports, you can connect HP-20C with Ethernet-interface devices such as Set-Top-Box, Camera Server, Switch/Hub, and so on. The high-speed of 10Mbps will bring you to enjoy the Video-On-Demand (VOD) services or the Media-OnDemand (MOD) services.
With HP-20C, SOHO can even quickly extent or flexibly change the existing LAN environment. No re-wiring more and no more trouble.

1. Open the carton and make sure yourself the stuffs inside are as same as the PACKAGE CONTENTS listed above. Please contact your dealer for replacing in case any item is missing or damaged.
2. Take out the HP-20C and power it on with the AC Adapter.
3. Take out the RJ-45/RJ-45 connecting line. Plug one end into the “LAN1” port on the rear panel of the HP-20C and connect the other end with your ISP access node, such as the ADSL modem or the Cable modem.
4. Connect the other end of the RJ-11/RJ-11 line from the inline telephone splitter or the splitter port of the ADSL modem with the “PHONE” port on the rear panel of the HP-20C. (In Cable modem’s cases, you may leave the “PHONE” port free from any other connection or just connect it with a telephone extension. For those cases without splitter, the connection will be as same as Cable modem’s.)
5. Take out the last RJ-11/RJ-11 line and simply plug one end into the RJ-11 phone jack in the wall at your home and connect the other end with the “HPNA” port on the rear panel of the HP-20C. The high-speed broadband home network is then successfully established.
6. For the “LAN2” port on the rear panel of the HP-20C, you may connect it with the Ethernet port of your PC, Set-TopBox, or Switch/Hub.
7. To connect with your home network in the other rooms, just simply plug one end of the RJ-11/RJ-11 line into the phone jack in that room and link the other end with your PC through another HP-20C.
You may then share the broadband Internet at any place in your house.
8. To connect with the Set-Top-Box or Camera Server in any room, procedures are similar to previous step. You may simply plug one end of the RJ-11/RJ-11 line into the phone jack in that room and link the other end with the Ethernet port of your Set-Top-Box or Camera Server through a HP-20C
9. For SOHO, using HP-20C and RJ-11/RJ-11 lines, you can quickly extent or flexibly change the existing LAN environment in your office by simply plugging the RJ-11/RJ11 line into any phone jack.

The default setting of the DIP switch is “Lo” for “1” and also
“Lo” for “2”. It is not necessary to make any adjustment in
the beginning.
You may change the position of DIP switch “2” from “Lo” to
“Hi” to improve the transmission speed in case the phone
line condition is good.
For the cases of installation more than two HP-20C, you
may remain the DIP switch “1” of the HP-20C which linked directly with the ADSL modem or the Cable modem unchanged at position “Lo” and then change the position of this switch of the other HP-20C from “Lo” to “Hi”. The transmission performance will therefore be enhanced.
