CHARGING WARNINGS

WARNING: Failure to exercise caution while using this product and comply with the following warnings could result in product malfunction, electrical issues,

excessive heat, FIRE, and ultimately injury and property damage.

• NEVER LEAVE CHARGING BATTERIES UNATTENDED.

• NEVER CHARGE BATTERIES OVERNIGHT.

• Never leave the power supply, charger and battery unattended during use.

• Never attempt to charge dead, damaged or wet battery packs.

• Never attempt to charge a battery pack containing different types of batteries.

• Never allow children under 14 years of age to charge battery packs.

• Never charge batteries in extremely hot or cold places or place in direct sunlight.

• Never charge a battery if the cable has been pinched or shorted.

• Never connect the charger if the power cable has been pinched or shorted.

• Never connect the charger to an automobile 12V battery while the vehicle is running.

• Never attempt to dismantle the charger or use a damaged charger.

• Never attach your charger to both an AC and a DC power source at the same time.

• Never connect the input jack (DC input) to AC power.

• Always use only rechargeable batteries designed for use with this type of charger.

• Always inspect the battery before charging.

• Always keep the battery away from any material that could be affected by heat.

• Always monitor the charging area and have a ﬁre extinguisher available at all times.

• Always end the charging process if the battery becomes hot to the touch or starts to change form (swell) during the charge process.

• Always connect the charge cable to the charger ﬁrst, then connect the battery to avoid short circuit between the charge leads. Reverse the sequence when

disconnecting.

• Always connect the positive red leads (+) and negative black leads (–) correctly.

• Always disconnect the battery after charging, and let the charger cool between charges.

• Always charge in a well-ventilated area.

• Always terminate all processes and contact Horizon Hobby if the product malfunctions.

WARNING: Never leave charger unattended, exceed maximum charge rate, charge with non-approved batteries or charge batteries in the wrong mode. Failure

to comply may result in excessive heat, ﬁre and serious injury.

CAUTION: Always ensure the battery you are charging meets the speciﬁcations of this charger and that the charger settings are correct. Not doing so can

result in excessive heat and other related product malfunctions, which can lead to user injury or property damage. Please contact Horizon Hobby or an

authorized retailer with compatibility questions.

GETTING STARTED

CAUTION: Never connect the AC and DC input cords to an active power source at the same time. This will void the warranty, cause product damage and possibly injure the user.

When Using an External DC Power Source:

1. Ensure the charger is powered OFF.

2. Connect the DC power cord to the charger DC Power Input Port (I).

3. Connect the DC alligator clips to the DC power source.

4. Power ON the charger with the Power Switch (G).

5. When the charger is powered ON, a message will appear on the LCD Touch

Screen (J).

NOTICE: Always connect cable polarities correctly. NOTICE: Always consult 12V battery collateral materials or Horizon Hobby before

using with sources other than a standard AC wall outlet.

When Using an External AC Power Source:

1. Ensure the charger is powered OFF.

2. Connect the AC power cord to the charger AC Power Input Port (H).

3. Connect the AC power cord to the AC power source.

4. Power ON the charger with the Power Switch (G).

5. When the charger is powered ON, a message will appear on the LCD Touch

Screen (J).

Connecting the Battery to the Charger:

CAUTION: Always power ON the charger before connecting a battery, or

damage to the charger and the battery can result.

1. Connect the charger to the power source.

2. Power ON the charger.

3. Select the charging settings.

4. Connect the battery to the charger.

5. Start battery charging.

CAUTION: Before charging, always ensure you have chosen the correct battery chemistry type for the battery you are charging.

1. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through

the main menu screens.

2. Press the action at the bottom of the LCD Touch Screen to enter that menu.

3. Press a parameter to highlight that parameter.

4. Press the Up and Down Arrows to edit the parameter.

5. Press Select to save the parameter.

6. If there is more than one screen of parameters, press the top right corner of the

LCD Touch Screen to scroll through the parameter screens.

7. Press Back to return to the main menu screens.

PROGRAMMING QUICK GUIDE

When the charger is powered ON, there is a series of self tests and the screen will show the charger brand name and model number.

OPERATING YOUR CHARGER

CAUTION: If at any time during the charge process the battery pack becomes hot or begins to puff disconnect the battery immediately and discontinue the

charge process as batteries can cause ﬁre, collateral damage and injuries.

CAUTION: Using a charge rate that is not compatible with the battery capacity may result in damage or malfunction of the charger or battery.

CAUTION: The Lithium charge program menus are to be used ONLY for the charging and discharging of Lithium battery packs. Charging other battery types

using the Lithium charge programs will damage the battery or the charger.

1 - SELF TEST AND PROGRAM SELECT SCREENS

1. Connect the banana plugs of the battery adapter cable to the Power Output Black (–) (A) and Power Output Red (+) (B), making sure that the positive

and negative connectors are not reversed.

2. Connect the JST_XH balance adapter to the Balance Circuit Adapter Board Connector (C).

3. Connect the battery connector to the battery adapter cable.

4. Connect the balance connector of the battery to the JST_XH balance adapter.

5. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through the main menu screens until you reach Program Select=Li-Po/Li-Ion/Li-Fe.

4 - LITHIUM STORAGE CHARGING

CAUTION: The nickel charge program menus are to be used ONLY for the charging and discharging of nickel battery packs. Charging other battery types using the nickel charge programs will damage the battery or the charger.

1. Connect the banana plugs of the battery adapter cable to the Power Output Black (–) and Power Output Red (+), making sure that the positive and negative connectors are not reversed.

2. Connect the battery connector to the battery adapter cable.

3. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through the main menu screens until you reach Program Select=Ni-MH/Ni-Cd.

2A- LITHIUM HIGH VOLTAGE

CAUTION: Only use 4.35V capable Li-Po batteries when using the Li-HV charge mode. Charging other Li-Po batteries in this mode can lead to property damage, ﬁre, or serious injury.

1. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through

the main menu screens until you reach Program Select=Li-HV.

2. Press CHG.

3. The following WARNING screen appears. You must be sure you are using

High Voltage cells capable of being charged to 4.35 Volts.

4. Press Select to continue to charging.

5. Follow Lithium (Li-Po/Li-Fe/Li-Ion/LI-HV) Charging, Dishcharging and Storage insturctions

6. Press Back to exit warning and choose another charging method.

12 - BALANCE

13 - MEMORY

1. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through

the main menu screens until you reach the battery program you would like to save: Program Select=Li-Po/Li-Fe/Li-Ion/Ni-MH/Ni-Cd/Pb.

2. Press the action at the bottom of the LCD Touch Screen to enter that menu.

3. Press a parameter to highlight that parameter.

4. Press the Up and Down Arrows to edit the parameter.

5. Press Select to save the parameter.

6. If there is more than one screen of parameters, press the top right corner of the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through the parameter screens.

7. Once the parameters are at the desired settings, press Back to return to the main menu screens.

8. Press the Left and Right arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through the main menu screens until you reach Program Select=Memory.

10. Choose an empty memory proﬁle and press it.

11. Press SAVE. The charging parameters you just entered will be saved in that

memory proﬁle.

12. To use a memory proﬁle, press it, then press LOAD.

13. To delete a memory proﬁle, press it, then hold DEL.

14. Press the top right of the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through all 20 memory

proﬁles.

14 - USB DEVICE CHARGING

The charger has the capability to charge any USB-compatible device with the 2.1A USB Power Output Port (F). To use the charging function, simply connect a compatible charging device or cord into the charge port while the charger is powered ON. The charger provides up to 2.1A current at 5V DC.

15 - TROUBLESHOOTING

During charger operation, circuits monitor battery and charger functions. If the following messages show on the charger’s LCD screen, make the recommended responses. If the message continues after you respond as recommended, contact your nearest Horizon Hobby customer service center for assistance.

REVERSE POLARITY Make sure each connection polarity is correct between the power source and the charger, then between the charger and the battery. PROCESS INTERRUPTED Make sure the power connections are correct for charging. OUTPUT SHORT CIRCUIT Make sure there are no short circuits between the poles of the battery or the battery and the charger. Replace damaged wires. INPUT VOLTAGE ERROR Input voltage to the charger fell below the default or adjusted input voltage setting. Make sure the power source for the charger

provides correct input voltage. CHARGER FAILURE Charger electronics require repair. BATTERY LOW VOLTAGE Battery voltage is lower than the value setting in the charger. Adjust settings, then make sure the battery is not damaged or replace the

battery. BATTERY HIGH VOLTAGE Battery voltage is higher than the value setting in the charger. Adjust settings, then make sure the battery is not damaged or replace the

battery. CELL LOW VOLTAGE Cell voltage is lower than the value setting in the charger. Adjust settings, then make sure the battery is not damaged or replace the

battery. CELL HIGH VOLTAGE Cell voltage is higher than the value setting in the charger. Adjust settings, then make sure the battery is not damaged or replace the

battery. CELL CONNECT ERROR Make sure the balance connection is correct for charging. CHARGER OVERHEATING Charger temperature is too high. Power OFF the charger and let it cool. OVER POWER Input voltage to the charger exceeded the default or adjusted input voltage setting. Make sure the power source for the charger provides

the correct input voltage. MAX CURRENT Current is higher than the value setting in the charger. Adjust settings, then make sure the battery is not damaged or replace the battery. SAFETY TIMER Maximum safe time limit has been reached. MAX CAPACITY Maximum capacity limit has been reached. MAX EXT. TEMP External temperature is too high. Let charger and battery cool.

11 - VIEW

1. Press the Left and Right Arrows on the LCD Touch Screen to scroll through

the main menu screens until you reach Program Select=View.

Pack the Product securely using a shipping carton. Please note that original boxes may be included, but are not designed to withstand the rigors of shipping without additional protection. Ship via a carrier that provides tracking and insurance for lost or damaged parcels, as Horizon is not responsible for merchandise until it arrives and is accepted at our facility. If you do not have internet access, please contact Horizon Product Support to obtain a RMA number along with instructions for submitting your product for service. When calling Horizon, you will be asked to provide your complete name, street address, email address and phone number where you can be reached during business hours. When sending product into Horizon, please include your RMA number, a list of the included items, and a brief summary of the problem. A copy of your original sales receipt must be included for warranty consideration. Be sure your name, address, and RMA number are clearly written on the outside of the shipping carton.

• Schließen Sie erst das Ladekabel am Ladegerät an und dann den Akku, um ein verpolen der Anschlüsse zu vermeiden. Trennen Sie die Verbindung nach dem Laden in

umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

• Laden Sie immer in gut belüfteten Bereichen.

• Beenden Sie bei Fehlfunktionen sofort alle Prozesse und kontaktieren Horizon Hobby.

WARNUNG: Lassen Sie niemals das Ladegerät unbeaufsichtigt. Überschreiten Sie niemals den maximalen Ladestrom. Laden Sie niemals nicht-geeignete

Akkus oder Akkus im falschen Mode. Falsch- oder Fehlbedienung kann zu großer Hitze, Feuer oder tödlichen Verletzungen führen.

ACHTUNG: Bitte stellen Sie immer sicher, dass die verwendeten Akkus mit den Speziﬁkationen des Ladegerätes übereinstimmen und die Einstellungen des

Ladegerät korrekt eingestellt sind. Ein Nichtbfefolgen kann zu großer Hitze und weiteren Fehlfunktionen führen, die zu Personen- oder Sachschäden führen

können. Bitte kontaktieren Sie Horizon Hobby oder einen autorisierten Händler wenn Sie Fragen zur Akkukompatibilität haben.

FÜR DEN START

ACHTUNG: Schließen Sie niemals die AC und DC Stromversorgung gleichzeitig an eine Stromquelle an. Dieses läßt die Garantie erlöschen, beschädigt das Produkt und verletzt möglicherweise den Benutzer.

Bei Verwendung einer externen DC Stromversorgung:

1. Stellen Sie sicher dass das Ladegerät ausgeschaltet (OFF) ist.

2. Schließen Sie den DC Stecker an den DC Stromeingang (I) an.

3. Schließen Sie die DC Krokokdilklemmen an die DC Stromquelle an.

4. Schalten Sie das Ladegerät mit dem Ein/Aus Schalter (G) ein.

5. Ist das Ladegerät eingeschaltet (ON) sehen Sie eine Meldung auf dem LCD

Display (J).

HINWEIS: Schließen Sie die Kabel immer polrichtig an. HINWEIS: Lesen Sie immer die Anleitung eines 12 Volt Akkus oder Batterie oder

kontaktieren Horizon Hobby wenn Sie etwas anderes nutzen wollen als ein Standard 12 Volt Netzgerät.

Bei Verwendung einer externen AC Stromquelle:

1. Stellen Sie sicher dass das Ladegerät ausgeschaltet (OFF) ist.

2. Schließen Sie den AC Netzstecker an der AC Netzbuchse des Ladegerätes (H) an.

3. Schließen Sie den Stecker am AC Netzstrom an.

4. Schalten Sie das Ladegerät mit dem Ein/Aus Schalter (G) ein.

5. Ist das Ladegerät eingeschaltet (ON) sehen Sie eine Meldung auf dem LCD

Display (J).

Anschluss des Akkus an das Ladegerät:

ACHTUNG: Schalten Sie immer erst das Ladegerät ein bevor Sie ein Akku

anschließen, da sonst das Ladegerät oder Akku beschädigt werden kann.

1. Schließen Sie das Ladegerät an eine Stromquelle an.

2. Schalten Sie das Ladegerät ein.

3. Wählen Sie die Ladegeräteinstellungen.

4. Schließen Sie den Akku an das Ladegerät an.

5. Starten Sie den Ladevorgang.

ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie vor dem Laden sicher, dass Sie den korrekten Akkutyp gewählt für den zu ladenden Akku gewählt haben.

1. Drücken Sie die Pfeile nach links oder rechts auf dem LCD Touch Display um

durch die Menüs zu scrollen.

2. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Aktion mit Druck auf das Dialogfeld unten im Display aus.

3. Drücken Sie auf einen Parameter um diesen auszuwählen.

4. Drücken Sie die nach oben oder unten Pfeile um die Parameter wie gewünscht

einzustellen.

5. Drücken Sie SELECT um die Parameter zu sichern.

6. Sollte mehr als eine Displayinformation zur Auswahl stehen, drücken Sie auf die

obere rechte Ecke des LCD Touch Displays um durch die Parameter zu scrollen.

7. Drücken Sie BACK (Zurück) um wieder in das Hauptmenü zu wechseln.

PROGRAMMÜBERSICHT

Wird das Ladegerät eingeschaltet (ON) erfolgt eine Serie von Selbsttests und im Display wird der Name des Ladegerätes und die Modellnummer angezeigt.

BETRIEB DES LADEGERÄTES

ACHTUNG: Sollte zu einem beliebigen Zeitpunkt der Akku heiss werden oder beginnen sich aufzublähen trennen Sie den Akku unverzüglich und beenden den

Ladevorgang, da dieses zu einem Brand führen und Sachschaden oder Verletzungen führen könnte.

ACHTUNG: Verwenden Sie eine zu der Akkukapazität nicht korrekte Ladeeinstellung, könnte dieses zu Beschädigungen oder Fehlfunktionen an dem Akku und

Ladegerät führen.

ACHTUNG: Das Li-Po Programm darf nur für das Laden und Entladen von Li-Po Akkus genutzt werden. Das Laden von anderen Akkutypen mit dem Li-Po

Programm führt zu Beschädigungen des Akku und Ladegerät.

1 - SELBSTTEST UND PROGRAMMAUSWAHL MENÜS

1. Schließen Sie die Bananenstecker des Akkuadapterkabels an den Ladeausgang Schwarz (–) (A) und Ladeausgang Rot (+) (B) an und achten

bitte darauf dass die positiven und negativen Anschlüsse nicht vertauscht sind.

2. Schließen Sie den JST_XH Balance Adapter an den Balancerboard

Anschluss (C) an.

3. Schließen Sie den Akkustecker an das Akku-Adapterkabel an.

4. Schließen Sie den Balanceranschluss des Akku an den JST_XH Balance Adapter an.

5. Drücken Sie den Pfeil nach links oder rechts auf dem LCD Touch Screen um durch das Hauptmenü zu scrollen bis Sie das Menü Program Select=Li-Po/Li-Ion/ Li-Fe erreicht haben.

durch das Menü zu scrollen bis Sie das Akkuprogramm aufgerufen haben, dass Sie sichern wollen: Program Select=Li-Po/Li-Fe/Li-Ion/Ni-MH/Ni-Cd/Pb.

2. Wählen Sie die gewünschte Aktion mit Druck auf das Dialogfeld unten im Display aus.

3. Drücken Sie auf einen Parameter um diesen auszuwählen.

4. Drücken Sie die nach oben oder unten Pfeile um die Parameter wie gewünscht einzustellen.

5. Drücken Sie SELECT um die Parameter zu sichern.

6. Sollte mehr als eine Displayinformation zur Auswahl stehen, drücken Sie auf die obere rechte Ecke des LCD Touch Displays um durch die Parameter zu scrollen.

14. Drücken Sie in die obere rechte Ecke des LCD Touch Display um durch alle

20 Speicherproﬁle zu scrollen.

14 - LADEN EINES USB GERÄTES

Das Ladegerät ist mit einem 2,1A USB Ladeanschluss (F) ausgestattet. Um diesen zu nutzen schließen Sie einfach ein kompatibles Gerät oder Kabel bei eingeschalteten Gerät an. Das Ladegerät liefert bis zu 2,1A Strom bei 5V DC.

15 - PROBLEMLÖSUNG

Während des Betriebs wird der Akku und die Ladegerätfunktion überwacht. Sollte eine der folgenden Meldungen auf dem Display erscheinen, folgen Sie den Empfehlungen. Sollte die Meldungen bestehen bleiben ,kontaktieren Sie den technischen Service von Horizon Hobby.

REVERSE POLARITY Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Polarität zwischen Netzteil und Ladegerät sowie Ladegerät und Akku richtig sind. PROCESS INTERRUPTED Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Anschlüsse einwandfrei sitzen. OUTPUT SHORT CIRCUIT Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Kurzschlüsse zwischen den Polen des Akku und des Ladegerät bestehen. INPUT VOLTAGE ERROR Falsche Eingangsspannung. CHARGER FAILURE Das Ladegerät muß repariert werden. BATTERY LOW VOLTAGE Akkuspannung ist niedriger als die dafür im Ladegerät gespeicherte Spannung. Überprüfen u. ggﬂs einstellen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass

der Akku nicht beschädigt ist oder tauschen Akku aus.

BATTERY HIGH VOLTAGE Akkuspannung ist höher als die dafür im Ladegerät gespeicherte Spannung. Überprüfen u. ggﬂs einstellen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der

Akku nicht beschädigt ist oder tauschen Akku aus.

CELL LOW VOLTAGE Die Zellenspannung ist geringer als der im Ladegerät gewählte Wert. Justieren Sie die Einstellungen und stellen dann sicher, dass der

Akku nicht beschädigt ist oder ersetzen den Akku.

• Toujours tenir la batterie éloignée de tout matériau pouvant être affecté par la chaleur.

• Surveiller la zone de charge en permanence et toujours avoir un extincteur à portée de main.

• Toujours arrêter la charge si le chargeur ou la batterie deviennent très chauds ou que la batterie commence à se déformer.

• Toujours commencer par connecter les câbles de charge au chargeur, puis à la batterie pour éviter tout court-circuit entre les câbles de charge. Lors du

débranchement, procédez dans l’ordre inverse.

• Respectez toujours les polarités: rouge (+) et noir (–).

• Toujours débrancher la batterie et le chargeur après la charge et les laisser refroidir.

• Toujours charger les batteries dans un endroit bien aéré/ventilé.

• Toujours terminer les processus et contactez le service Technique Horizon Hobby si le produit fait objet de dysfonctionnements.

POUR DÉMARRER

ATTENTION: Ne jamais brancher les câbles d’alimentation CA et CC simultanément à une source d’alimentation active. Ceci aura pour conséquence d’invalider la garantie, peut endommager le produit et comporte des risques potentiels de blessures de l’utilisateur.

En cas d’utilisation d’une source d’alimentation CC en entrée externe:

1. Contrôlez que le chargeur est hors tension.

2. Connectez le cordon DC à l’entrée DC du chargeur (I).

3. Connectez les pinces crocodile du cordon DC à votre source DC.

4. Mettez le chargeur sous tension en utilisant l’interrupteur d’alimentation (G).

5. Quand le chargeur est mis sous tension, un message apparait à l’écran LCD

tactile (J).

REMARQUE: Toujours respecter les polarités en connectant le câble. REMARQUE: Toujours consulter les caractéristiques de la batterie 12V ou

Horizon Hobby avant d’utiliser d’autres sources que l’alimentation AC standard.

Quand vous utilisez une source AC externe:

1. Contrôlez que le chargeur est hors tension.

2. Connectez le cordon AC à l’entrée AC du chargeur (H).

3. Connectez le cordon d’alimentation AC à la source AC.

4. Mettez le chargeur sous tension en utilisant l’interrupteur d’alimentation (G).

5. Quand le chargeur est mis sous tension, un message apparait à l’écran LCD

tactile (J).

Connectez la batterie au chargeur:

ATTENTION: Toujours mettre le chargeur sous tension avant d’y connecter

la batterie, sinon risque d’endommagement du chargeur et de la batterie.

1. Connectez le chargeur à son alimentation.

2. Mettez le chargeur sous tension.

3. Sélectionnez les paramètres de charge.

4. Connectez la batterie au chargeur.

5. Lancez la charge de la batterie.

ATTENTION: Avant de commencer la charge, veuillez toujours contrôler que le type de batterie sélectionné correspond à la batterie que vous souhaitez charger.

GUIDE DE PROGRAMMATION

Quand le chargeur est mis sous tension, il effectue une série de tests et l’écran afﬁche la marque et la référence du chargeur.

MODE D’EMPLOI DE VOTRE CHARGEUR

ATTENTION: Si durant la charge, la batterie se met à chauffer ou commence à gonﬂer, débranchez-la immédiatement et stoppez le processus de charge car la batterie peu causer un incendie entraînant des dégâts matériels et des blessures.

ATTENTION: La charge d’une batterie à une intensité non compatible avec celle-ci risque d’entraîner un dysfonctionnement ou l’endommagement de la batterie et du chargeur.

ATTENTION: Utilisez uniquement les menus des programmes Lithium pour charger ou décharger les batteries Lithium. La charge d’autres types de batteries en utilisant les programmes de charge Lithium causera des dommages à la batterie et probablement aussi au chargeur.

14 - PRISE DE CHARGE USB

Le chargeur permet de charger n’importe quel appareil compatible avec une prise USB via la sortie USB délivrant 2,1A (F). Pour proﬁter de cette fonction, connectez simplement votre appareil au port USB du chargeur sous tension. Le port USB délivre une intensité de 2,1A sous 5V.

15 - GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE

Durant le fonctionnement du chargeur, le circuit surveille la batterie et les fonctions du chargeur. Si un message apparaît sur l’écran de votre chargeur, veuillez suivre la consigne correspondante notée dans le tableau. Si le message réapparaît après avoir appliqué la consigne, veuillez contacter le service technique Horizon Hobby pour obtenir de l’aide.

• Non lasciare mai l’alimentatore, il caricabatterie e la batteria incustoditi durante l’uso.

• Non tentare mai di caricare batterie fuori uso, danneggiate o bagnate.

• Non tentare di caricare un pacco batteria composto da batterie di tipo diverso.

• Non consentire ai minori di caricare i pacchi batteria.

• Non caricare mai le batterie in luoghi estremamente caldi o freddi o esposti alla luce diretta del sole.

• Non caricare mai una batteria se il cavo è schiacciato o in cortocircuito.

• Non collegare mai il caricabatterie se il cavo di alimentazione è schiacciato o in cortocircuito.

• Non collegare mai il caricabatterie a una batteria di automobile da 12 V, mentre il veicolo è in movimento.

• Non tentare mai di smontare il caricabatterie o di utilizzare un caricabatterie danneggiato.

• Non connettere mai più di un pacco batteria al caricatore in una sola volta.

• Non collegare mai la presa di ingresso (ingresso C.C.) alla corrente alternata.

• Utilizzare sempre batterie ricaricabili progettate per l’utilizzo con questo tipo di caricabatterie.

• Controllare sempre la batteria prima di caricarla.

• Tenere sempre la batteria lontana da qualsiasi materiale che possa essere alterato dal calore.

• Controllare sempre la zona di ricarica e tenere in ogni momento un estintore a disposizione.

• Terminare sempre il processo di carica se le batterie scottano al tatto o iniziano a deformarsi (gonﬁarsi) durante il procedimento di carica.

• Collegare sempre prima il cavo al caricabatterie, poi collegare la batteria per evitare un cortocircuito fra i cavi del caricabatterie. Invertire la sequenza delle

operazioni per la disconnessione.

• Finita la carica scollegare sempre la batteria e il caricabatterie e attendere che si raffreddino tra una carica e l’altra.

• Collegare sempre correttamente il cavo positivo (+) al rosso e il negativo (–) al nero.

• Caricare sempre in aree ventilate.

• Interrompere sempre qualsiasi processo e rivolgersi a Horizon Hobby se il prodotto funziona male.

AVVERTIMENTO: Non lasciare mai incustodito il caricabatterie, non superare la corrente di carica massima, non effettuare la carica di batterie non approvate

o caricare le batterie in modo sbagliato. Il mancato rispetto di queste disposizioni può comportare un calore eccessivo, incendi e lesioni gravi.

ATTENZIONE: veriﬁcare sempre che la batteria sotto carica soddisﬁ le speciﬁche di questo caricabatterie e che le impostazioni del caricabatterie siano

corrette. Non farlo potrebbe portare a un eccessivo calore e ad altre disfunzioni del prodotto, che potrebbero portare a lesioni per l’utente o a danni alla

proprietà. Rivolgersi a Horizon Hobby o a un rivenditore autorizzato per domande sulla compatibilità.

COME INIZIARE

ATTENZIONE: Non collegare mai nello stesso tempo l’alimentatore e i cavi di ingresso a c.c. a una sorgente di alimentazione attiva. Questo annulla la garanzia, danneggia il prodotto e potrebbe provocare lesioni all’utilizzatore.

Quando si utilizza una sorgente esterna a c.c.:

1. Accertarsi che il caricatore sia spento.

2. Collegare il cavo di alimentazione DC all’apposita presa sul caricabatterie (I).

3. Collegare le pinze (coccodrillo) all’alimentatore DC.

4. Accendere il caricatore con il suo interruttore (G).

5. Quando il caricatore è acceso, appare un messaggio sullo schermo LCD

“touch” (J).

AVVISO: Collegare i cavi rispettando le polarità. AVVISO: Informarsi sempre prima di usare le batterie a 12V o altri alimentatori

diversi dallo standard AC.

Quando si usa l’alimentatore AC esterno:

1. Accertarsi che il caricatore sia spento.

2. Collegare il cavo di alimentazione AC all’apposita presa sul caricabatterie (H).

3. Collegare l’altro capo del cavo alla presa AC.

4. Accendere il caricatore con il suo interruttore (G).

5. Quando il caricatore è acceso, appare un messaggio sullo schermo LCD

“touch” (J).

Collegare la batteria al caricatore:

ATTENZIONE: accendere sempre il caricabatterie prima di collegare la

batteria, altrimenti si potrebbero danneggiare entrambi.

1. Collegare il caricabatterie all’alimentatore.

2. Accendere il caricatore.

3. Scegliere le impostazioni per la carica.

4. Collegare la batteria al caricatore.

5. Iniziare la carica della batteria.

ATTENZIONE: prima di caricare, accertarsi di aver scelto il giusto tipo di batteria.

1. Premere le frecce di Sinistra e di Destra per scorrere tra le schermate del

menu principale.

2. Premere il tasto azione in basso sullo schermo LCD “touch” per entrare in

quel menu.

3. Toccare un parametro per evidenziarlo.

4. Premere le frecce Up e Down per modiﬁcare il parametro.

5. Premere Select per salvare il parametro.

6. Se per certi parametri ci sono più schermate, premere l’angolo in alto a destra

dello schermo LCD “touch” per farle scorrere.

7. Premere Back per tornare alle schermate del menu principale.

GUIDA RAPIDA DI PROGRAMMAZIONE

Quando si accende il caricatore, viene attuata una autodiagnosi e lo schermo mostra il nome della marca e il numero del modello.

FUNZIONAMENTO DEL CARICABATTERIE

ATTENZIONE: se durante il processo di carica la batteria diventa calda o tende a gonﬁarsi, bisogna scollegarla immediatamente interrompendo la carica

perché si potrebbe incendiare causando danni e/o lesioni.

ATTENZIONE: se si usa una corrente di carica che non è compatibile con la capacità della batteria, si potrebbe danneggiare sia il caricatore che la batteria.

ATTENZIONE: il programma di carica per le batterie al Litio si deve usare solo con questo tipo di batterie. Se si dovessero caricare altri tipi di batterie, si

potrebbe danneggiare sia il caricatore che la batteria.

1 - SCHERMATE TEST AUTOMATICO E PROGRAMMMA SELEZIONE

14 - CARCIA DI APPARECCHIATURE USB

Questo caricatore ha la possibilità di caricare qualsiasi apparecchiatura USB compatibile con la porta di uscita USB 2,1A (F). Per usare la funzione di carica basta collegare l’apparecchiatura da caricare mentre il caricatore è acceso. Esso fornirà una corrente ﬁno a 2,1A con una tensione di 5V DC.

15 - GUIDA ALLA SOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI

Durante il funzionamento del caricatore, il circuito controlla la batteria e le funzioni del caricatore. Se sullo schermo del caricatore vengono visualizzati i seguenti messaggi, eseguire quanto consigliato nelle risposte corrispondenti. Se il messaggio continua ad essere presente, contattare il servizio assistenza Horizon Hobby.

REVERSE POLARITY Veriﬁcare che tutti i collegamenti abbiano la corretta polarità prima tra alimentazione e caricabatterie, quindi tra caricabatterie e

batteria. PROCESS INTERRUPTED Veriﬁcare che l’alimentazione sia correttamente collegata per la carica. OUTPUT SHORT CIRCUIT Veriﬁcare che non ci siano cortocircuiti tra i poli della batteria o la batteria e il caricabatterie. Sostituire i cavi danneggiati. INPUT VOLTAGE ERROR La tensione d’ingresso del caricabatterie è scesa sotto al valore predeﬁnito o a quello impostato con la regolazione della tensione

d’ingresso. Veriﬁcare che la sorgente di alimentazione per il caricabatterie fornisca la corretta tensione in ingresso. CHARGER FAILURE È necessario riparare l’elettronica del caricabatterie. BATTERY LOW VOLTAGE La tensione della batteria è inferiore al valore impostato nel caricabatterie. Regolare le impostazioni, veriﬁcare che la batteria non sia

danneggiata o sostituire la batteria. BATTERY HIGH VOLTAGE La tensione della batteria è superiore al valore impostato sul caricabatterie. Regolare le impostazioni, veriﬁcare che la batteria non sia

danneggiata oppure sostituire la batteria. CELL LOW VOLTAGE La tensione della cella è inferiore al valore impostato nel caricatore. Regolare le impostazioni, poi accertarsi che la batteria non sia

danneggiata oppure sostituirla. CELL HIGH VOLTAGE La tensione della cella è superiore al valore impostato nel caricatore. Regolare le impostazioni, poi accertarsi che la batteria non sia

danneggiata oppure sostituirla. CELL CONNECT ERROR Accertarsi che il collegamento del bilanciamento sia corretto per la carica. CHARGER OVERHEATING La temperatura del caricatore è troppo alta. Spegnerlo e lasciarlo raffreddare. OVER POWER La tensione di ingresso del caricatore supera il valore di default o quello impostato. Accertarsi che la sorgente di alimentazione del

Manutenzione e riparazione - Se il prodotto deve essere ispezionato o riparato, si prega di rivolgersi ad un rivenditore specializzato o direttamente ad Horizon. Il prodotto deve essere Imballato con cura. Bisogna far notare che i box originali solitamente non sono adatti per effettuare una spedizione senza subire alcun danno. Bisogna effettuare una spedizione via corriere che fornisce una tracciabilità e un’assicurazione, in quanto Horizon non si assume alcuna responsabilità in relazione alla spedizione del prodotto. Inserire il prodotto in una busta assieme ad una descrizione dettagliata dei problemi e ad una lista di tutti i singoli componenti spediti. Inoltre abbiamo bisogno di un indirizzo completo, di un numero di telefono per rivolgere ulteriori domande e di un indirizzo e-mail. Garanzia a riparazione - Le richieste in garanzia verranno elaborate solo se è presente una prova d’acquisto in originale proveniente da un rivenditore specializzato autorizzato, nella quale è ben visibile la data di acquisto. Se la garanzia viene confermata, allora il prodotto verrà riparato o sostituito. Questa decisione spetta esclusivamente a Horizon Hobby. Riparazioni a pagamento - Se bisogna effettuare una riparazione a pagamento, effettueremo un preventivo che verrà inoltrato al vostro rivenditore. La riparazione verrà effettuata dopo l’autorizzazione da parte del vostro rivenditore. La somma per la riparazione dovrà essere pagata al vostro rivenditore. Le riparazioni a pagamento avranno un costo minimo di 30 minuti di lavoro e in fattura includeranno le spese di restituzione. Qualsiasi riparazione non pagata e non richiesta entro 90 giorni verrà considerata abbandonata e verrà gestita di conseguenza.

ATTENZIONE: Le riparazioni a pagamento sono disponibili solo sull’elettronica e sui motori. Le riparazioni a livello meccanico, soprattutto per gli elicotteri e le vetture RC sono molto costose e devono essere effettuate autonomamente dall’acquirente.
