assembly, setup or use, in order to operate correctly and avoid damage or serious injury.

Safety Precautions and Warnings

WARNING: Failure to exercise caution while using this product and comply with the following warnings
could result in product malfunction, electrical issues, excessive heat, FIRE, and ultimately injury and
property damage.

• Never leave the charger and battery unattended during use.

• Never attempt to dismantle the charger.

• Never attempt to charge a battery pack containing different types of batteries.

• Never allow children under 14 years of age to charge battery packs.

• Never drop charger or batteries.

• Never attempt to charge damaged or wet battery packs.

• Never charge batteries in extremely hot or cold places or place in direct sunlight.

• Never charge a battery if the cable has been pinched or shorted.

• Never allow batteries or battery packs to come into contact with moisture at any time.

• Never reverse the positive and negative terminals.

• Always use only rechargeable Li-Po batteries designed for use with this type of charger.

• Always inspect the battery before charging.

• Always keep the battery away from any material that could be affected by heat.

• Always monitor the charging area and have a fire extinguisher available at all times.

• Always end the charging process if the battery becomes hot to the touch or starts to change form (swell)

during the charge process.

• Always disconnect the battery after charging, and let the charger cool between charges.

• Always terminate all processes and contact Horizon Hobby if the product malfunctions.

• Always connect the charge cable to the charger first, then connect the battery to avoid short circuit

between the charge leads. Reverse the sequence when disconnecting.

• Always constantly monitor the temperature of the battery pack while charging.
WARNING: Never leave charger unattended, exceed maximum charge rate, charge with non-approved

batteries or charge batteries in the wrong mode. Failure to comply may result in excessive heat, fire
and serious injury.

CAUTION: Always ensure the battery you are charging meets the specifications of this charger and that
the charger settings are correct. Not doing so can result in excessive heat and other related product

Charger Operating Instructions

1. Connect the charger to an AC power source.

2. Power on the charger by pushing the power switch on the rear of the charger to the “|” position.

3. Once the charger is powered ON, all 6 LEDs on the front of the charger will flash for 3 seconds and then

a beep will sound. ALL LEDs will remain ON to indicate the charger is ready to begin a new charge cycle.

4. Select the charger channel that you want to use for your first battery and turn the rotary current dial to

select the desired charge current. Set the charge current for the second channel in the same way.

CAUTION: Always set the charger to the amp charge rate as listed on the batteries’ labels. The charger
should never be set to charge batteries at a rate greater than 1C (One (1) times the capacity of
Batteries in amp hours) unless another C rate is specified in the manufacturer’s product documentation
or the rate is preset as part of a specific battery and charger combination. DO NOT alter the charge rate
once charging has begun.

• Verwenden Sie nur wiederaufladbare LiPo Akkus, die für diesen Ladegerättyp geeignet sind.

• Überprüfen Sie vor dem Laden immer den Akku.

• Halten Sie den Akku fern von allen Materialien die durch Hitze beeinflusst werden können.

• Überwachen Sie immer den Ladeplatz und haben zu jeder Zeit einen Feuerlöscher griffbereit.

• Beenden Sie sofort den Ladevorgang wenn der Akku heiß wird oder anfängt bei dem Laden

anzuschwellen.

• Trennen Sie nach dem Ladevorgang den Akku vom Ladegerät und lassen den Akku abkühlen.

• Beenden Sie bei Fehlfunktionen alle Prozesse und kontaktieren Horizon Hobby.

• Verbinden Sie zuerst das Ladekabel mit dem Ladegerät und dann den Akku, um Kurzschlüsse zu

vermeiden. Trennen Sie die Verbindungen nach dem Ladevorgang in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

• Überwachen Sie bei dem Ladevorgang konstant die Temperatur des Akkupacks.
WARNUNG: Lassen Sie niemals das Ladegerät unbeaufsichtigt. Überschreiten Sie niemals den

maximalen Ladestrom oder laden Akkus im falschen Mode. Ein Nichtbefolgen könnte zu großer Hitze,
Feuer oder ernsten Verletzungen führen.

ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie immer sicher, dass der Akku den Spezifikationen des Ladegerätes entspricht und
dass das Ladegerät korrekt eingestellt ist. Ein Nichtbefolgen kann zu großer Hitze und anderen Produkt­fehlfunktionen mit Sach- und Körperverletzung führen. Bei Fragen zur Kompatibilität kontaktieren Sie
bitte ihren autorisierten Händler oder Horizon Hobby.

Bedienung des Ladegerätes

1. Verbinden Sie das Ladegerät mit einer AC Stromquelle.

2. Schalten Sie das Ladegerät mit Einschalten (I) des Ein/Aus Schalters auf der Rückseite ein.

3. Ist das Ladegerät eingeschaltet (ON) leuchten alle 6 LEDs auf der Vorderseite für 3 Sekunden und

ein Piepen ertönt. Alle LED´s bleiben an und zeigen damit an, dass das Ladegerät bereit für einen
Ladezyklus ist.

4. Wählen Sie einen Ladekanal für den ersten Akku und stellen den gewünschten Ladestrom ein. Stellen Sie

den Ladestrom für den zweiten Kanal auf gleichem Weg ein.

CAUTION: For 2- and 3-cell batteries, always ensure your battery has a balancing lead and that it is
inserted in the correct port of your charger before charging.

5. Insert the banana plugs of the battery adapter(s) that match your battery in the charger, making sure that

theRed(+)andBlack(-)connectorsarenotreversed.

6. Connect the balance connector of the battery pack to the correct balance port on the charger (a 1S bat­tery has no balance connector, the 2S connector has 3 pins and the 3S connector has 4 pins).

7. Connect the battery to the battery adapter.

8. Press and hold the Start/Stop button for approximately 3 seconds to start charging a battery pack. When
a battery pack is fully charged, the charger will beep and the LED(s) will blink at 2 second intervals to
indicate that charging has begun. The charger LEDs indicate if a 1, 2 or 3S battery is being charged. To
charge a battery on the second channel, repeat this process using the right Start/Stop button.

TIP: The charger will not charge a battery if the cells are imbalanced too much (over 300mV) or if a cell in

the battery is dead.

TIP: During charging, continuous current (CC) charging will take the battery to near 90% of its capacity. You

may stop charging and use the battery when CV charging and cell balancing starts (LEDs will blink 2
times at 2 second intervals) or continue charging until the battery is fully charged.

9. To stop the charging process, press and hold the Start/Stop button for approximately 3 seconds. The
charger will beep and the LED(s) will stop blinking. All 3 LEDs will turn ON (and stay ON) to indicate that
the charge process has been stopped and the charger is ready to begin a new charge cycle. To stop
charging a battery on the second channel, repeat this process using the right Start/Stop button.

10. Disconnect the battery(ies) from the battery adapter(s) before disconnecting the balance lead connector
(if used).

11. Power off the charger by pushing the power switch on the rear of the charger to the “O” position.

12. Disconnect the charger from AC power when the charger is not in use.

Troubleshooting Guide

If an unsafe condition occurs, the charger will sound a continuous 5 second long beep while flashing all
three LEDs on the channel where the problem has occurred. If both sets of LEDs flash, the problem has
occurred on both channels. After the 5 second beep, the charger will show one of the following LED patterns

to indicate the unsafe condition:

ACHTUNG: Stellen Sie immer den Ladestrom wie auf dem Etikett des Akkus vorgeschrieben ein. Das
Ladegerät sollte niemals größer als auf einen Ladestrom von einem 1C (Einmal (1) die Kapazität des
Akkus im Amperestunden Ah) eingestellt werden, solange keine andere C Rate in der Produktdokumen­tation vorgegeben oder als Vorgabe der Kombination eines spezifischen Akkus und Ladegerät vorgege­ben ist. Verändern Sie den Ladestrom NICHT wenn der Ladevorgang begonnen hat.

ACHTUNG: Für das Laden von 2- und 3S Akkus stellen Sie immer sicher, dass der Akku einen Balancer­stecker hat, der korrekt in den Balanceranschluß des Ladegerätes vor dem Laden eingesteckt wurde.

5. Stecken Sie die Bananenstecker des Ladekabels ihres Akkus polrichtig in die Anschlußbuchsen des

Ladegerätes.StellenSiesicher,dassderRote(+)undderSchwarze(-)Anschlußsteckernichtverkehrt

eingesteckt wurden.

6. Stecken Sie den Balancerstecker des Akkus in die richtige Balancerbuchse des Ladegerätes. (Ein 1S
Akku hat keinen Balancerstecker, der 2S Anschluß hat 3 Pins und der 3S Anschluß hat 4 Pins)

7. Verbinden Síe den Akku mit dem Ladekabel.

8. Drücken und halten Sie den Start/Stop Knopf für ca. 3 Sekunden um den Ladevorgang zu starten. Das
Ladegerät piept und die LEDs blinken in 2 Sekunden Intervallen. Damit wird angezeigt, dass der Ladevor­gang begonnen hat. Die LEDs des Ladegerätes zeigen ob ein 1, 2 oder 3S Akku geladen wird. Um einen
Akku auf dem zweiten Kanal zu laden, wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mit dem rechten Start/Stop Knopf.

TIPP: Das Ladegerät wird den Ladevorgang nicht starten wenn die Zellen zu unbalanciert sind, (über 300mV

Differenz) oder eine Zelle des Akkus tot ist.

TIP: Während des Ladens bringt die Dauerstromladung (CC) den Akku an nahezu 90 % seiner Kapazität. Sie

könnten jetzt den Ladevorgang beenden und den Akku verwenden, bevor der Ladevorgang auf Span­nungsladung (CV) mit dem Balancieren der Zellen einsetzt, (LED blinkt 2 Mal in 2 Sekunden Intervallen )
oder laden weiter bis der Akku vollständig geladen ist.

9. Um den Ladevorgang zu beenden, drücken und halten Sie den Start /Stop Knopf für ca. 3 Sekunden. Das
Ladegerät piept und die LED´s hören auf zu blinken. Alle 3 LED´s leuchten und bleiben an. Sie zeigen
damit den beendeten Ladevorgang und die Bereitschaft für einen neuen Ladevorgang an. Um den
Ladevorgang auf dem zweiten Kanal zu beenden, wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mit dem rechten Start/
Stop Knopf.

10. Trennen Sie den/die Akkus vom Ladekabel(n) bevor Sie den/die Balanceranschlüsse trennen (falls
genutzt).

11. Schalten Sie das Ladegerät mit dem Ein/Aus Schalter auf der Rückseite auf die “0” Position aus.

12. Trennen Sie das Ladegerät vom Netzstrom wenn es nicht in Betrieb ist.

Problemlösung

Sollte eine unsicherer Zustand auftreten wird das Ladegerät einen kontinuierlichen 5 Sekunden langen
Piepton von sich geben, bei dem alle drei LED´s auf dem Kanal blinken bei dem das Problem aufgetreten
ist. Sollten beide LED Reihen blinken, ist das Problem bei beiden Kanälen aufgetreten. Nach dem 5 Sekunden

langen Piepen zeigt das Ladegerät den Fehler mit dem folgenden Schlüssel an:

ATTENZIONE: se non si mettono in pratica questi avvertimenti usando cautela nell’utilizzo di questo

• Non lasciare senza controllo batteria e caricabatterie durante la carica.

• Controllare sempre il posto dove avviene la carica e tenere un estintore a portata di mano.

• Interrompere la carica se la batteria tende a scaldarsi troppo o inizia a gonfiarsi.

• Scollegare sempre la batteria quando è carica, e lasciare che il caricabatterie si raffreddi tra una carica e

l’altra.

• Interrompre sempre l’utilizzo e contattare Horizon Hobby se il prodotto presenta dei malfunzionamenti.

• Per evitare cortocircuiti, collegare prima il cavetto adattatore al caricabatterie e poi la batteria al cavetto.

Procedere in modo inverso quando si scollega la batteria.

• Controllare sempre la temperatura della batteria durante la carica.
ATTENZIONE: non lasciare il caricabatterie incustodito, non superare la massima corrente di carica,

caricare batterie non approvate o nel modo sbagliato. In caso contrario si avrebbe eccessivo calore,
incendio e lesioni gravi.

ATTENZIONE: controllare sempre che le batterie in carica siano adatte alle caratteristiche del carica-

Istruzioni per il funzionamento del caricabatterie

1. Collegare il caricabatterie ad una presa di alimentazione AC (220 V).

2. Accendere il caricabatterie premendo l’interruttore posto sul retro del caricabatterie nella posizione “I”.

3. Quando il caricabatterie è acceso (ON) tutti i 6 LED posti sul frontale lampeggiano per 3 secondi e si

sente un beep. Tutti i LED restano accesi per indicare che il caricabatterie è pronto ad iniziare un nuovo
ciclo di carica.

4. Scegliere il canale di carica che si vuole utilizzare per la prima batteria e girare la manopola per scegliere

la corrente desiderata. Allo stesso modo scegliere la corrente di carica anche per il secondo canale.

Précautions d’utilisation et de sécurité

ATTENTION: Une utilisation du produit sans suivre les consignes suivantes peut entraîner un dysfonc-
tionnement du produit, risque d’électrocution, une surchauffe, un incendie entraînant des blessures et
des dégâts matériels.

• Ne laissez jamais sans surveillance le chargeur et la batterie durant la charge.

• Ne tentez jamais de démonter le chargeur.

• Ne tentez jamais de charger des batteries composées d’éléments de natures différentes.

• Ne laissez pas un enfant de moins de 14 ans charger les batteries seul.

• Ne jamais faire tomber le chargeur ou les batteries.

• Ne tentez jamais de charger une batterie endommagée ou humide.

• Ne chargez jamais les batteries dans des endroits où la température est trop élevée ou trop faible ou en

plein soleil.

• Ne chargez jamais une batterie qui possède des câbles endommagés ou raccourcis.

• Ne mettez jamais les batteries au contact d’humidité.

• N’inversez jamais les polarités.

• Utilisez uniquement des batteries Li-Po rechargeables conçues pour ce type de chargeur.

• Toujours contrôler l’état de la batterie avant la charge.

• Toujours maintenir la batterie à l’écart de matériaux inflammables.

• Toujours surveiller la zone de charge et ayez toujours un extincteur à votre disposition.

• Toujours arrêter la charge si la batterie devient chaude au touché ou commence à charger de forme

(gonflement) durant la charge.

• Toujours débrancher la batterie après la charge et laissez le chargeur refroidir entre deux charges.

• Effectuez toujours les processus en entier et contactez le service technique Horizon hobby si le produit

présente des dysfonctionnements.

• Toujours connecter l’adaptateur de charge au chargeur puis à la batterie, afin d’éviter que les fiches
banane ne rentrent en contact, créant un court-circuit. Effectuez la séquence en ordre inverse quand
vous débranchez la batterie.

• Toujours surveiller la température de la batterie durant la charge.

AVERTISSEMENT: Ne laissez jamais le chargeur sans surveillance, ne dépassez jamais l’intensité de
charge maximum, n’utilisez pas des batteries non recommandées ou dans un mode inapproprié. Un
non respect de ces consignes peut entraîner une surchauffe causant un incendie et des blessures
graves.

ATTENTION: Toujours contrôler que les caractéristiques de la batterie correspondent bien à ce chargeur
et que les réglages du chargeur sont corrects. Ne faites rien qui pourrait entraîner une surchauffe ou un
dysfonctionnement du produit, cela pourrait blesser l’utilisateur et entraîner des dégâts matériels.

Instructions d’utilisation du chargeur

1. Reliez le chargeur à la prise secteur.

2. Mettez le chargeur sous tension en plaçant l’interrupteur sur la position |.

3. Une fois que le chargeur est sous tension, les 6 DELs situées sur la façade vont clignoter durant 3 sec-

ondes et un bip sera émit. Toutes les DELs du chargeur restent allumées indiquant que le chargeur est
prêt à démarrer un nouveau cycle de charge.

4. Choisissez le port du chargeur que vous voulez utiliser pour charger la première batterie et tournez le
potentiomètre pour sélectionner l’intensité de charge désirée. Précédez de la même façon pour charger la
deuxième batterie.

ATTENTION: Toujours charger les batteries à l’intensité notée sur l’étiquette de celles-ci. Le chargeur
ne doit jamais être réglé sur une intensité de charge supérieure à 1C ( 1 fois la capacité de la batterie)
des fois une autre intensité de charge est spécifié dans la documentation de votre batterie ou pour une
utilisation avec un chargeur spécifique. NE MODIFIEZ jamais l’intensité de charge une fois que la
charge a débuté.

ATTENTION: Pour les batteries 2 et 3 S, vérifiez toujours que la prise d’équilibrage est insérée dans le
bon port avant de débuter la charge.

5. Insérez les prises bananes de l’adaptateur de charge de votre batterie dans le chargeur en respectant les

polaritésrouge(+)etnoir(-).

6. Connectez la prise d’équilibrage de la batterie dans le port correspondant du chargeur ( les batteries 1 S

ne possèdent pas de prise d’équilibrage, la prise des batteries 2S possède 3 plots et la prise des batter­ies 3S en possède 4).

7. Connectez la batterie à l’adaptateur de charge.

8. Pressez et maintenez le bouton Start/Stop durant 3 secondes environ pour débuter la charge. Quand

débute, le chargeur va émettre un bip et les DELs vont clignoter toutes les deux secondes. Les DELs du
chargeur indiquent que vous êtes en train de charger une batterie 1S ou 2S ou 3S. Pour charger une bat­terie sur le second port, répétez le processus depuis le bouton Start/Stop.

ASTUCE: Le chargeur ne chargera pas la batterie si le déséquilibre entre les éléments est trop important

(plus de 300mA) ou si un élément est défectueux.

ASTUCE: Durant la charge, le courant continu (CC) va charger la batterie jusqu’à 90% de sa capacité. Vous

pouvez stopper la charge de la batterie pour l’utiliser quand l’équilibrage débute (les DELs vont
clignoter 2 fois à deux secondes d’intervalle) ou continuez jusqu’à la charge complète.

9. Pour stopper le processus de charge, pressez et maintenez le bouton Start/Stop durant approximative-

ment 3 secondes. Le chargeur va émettre un bip et les DELs vont arrêter de clignoter. Les 3 DELs vont
s’allumer (et le rester) indiquant que le processus de charge est arrêté et que le chargeur est prêt à ef­fectuer un nouveau cycle de charge. Pour stopper le processus de charge sur le second port du chargeur,
répétez l’étape depuis le bouton Start/Stop.

10. Débranchez les batteries des adaptateurs de charge avant de débrancher les prises d’équilibrage (si

utilisées).

11. Mettez le chargeur hors tension en plaçant l’interrupteur sur la position “O”.

12. Débranchez le chargeur de la prise secteur.

Guide de dépannage

Si un problème apparaît, le chargeur va émettre un long bip de 5 secondes, les 3 DELs du port concerné
vont se mettre à clignoter. Si les DEls des deux ports se mettent à clignoter c’est qu’un problème est apparu

sur les deux ports du chargeur. Après le bip de 5 secondes les DELs vont vous indiquer la cause du problème
comme illustré dans le tableau suivant:

ATTENZIONE: impostare sempre il caricabatterie con la corrente di carica indicata sull’etichetta delle
batterie. La corrente non deve mai superare il valore di 1C (una volta la capacità della batteria in Ah), a
meno che il costruttore della batteria abbia indicato un altro valore o che il valore di corrente selezion­ato faccia parte di una particolare combinazione tra caricabatterie e batteria. Dopo che la carica è
avviata, NON modificare la corrente di carica. .

ATTENZIONE: per le batterie con 2 o 3 celle, verificare sempre che il loro cavetto di bilanciamento sia
collegato alla presa corretta del caricabatterie prima di iniziare la carica.

5. Inserire gli spinotti banana del cavetto adattatore per la batteria, nelle prese sul caricabatterie, facendo

attenzionecheilRosso(+)eilNero(-)nonsianoinvertiti.

6. Collegare il cavetto di bilanciamento della batteria alla giusta presa sul caricabatterie (le batterie 1S non
hanno connettore di bilanciamento, le 2S hanno 3 piedini e le 3S hanno 4 piedini).

7. Collegare le batterie al cavetto adattatore.

8. Tenere premuto il pulsante Start/Stop per circa 3 secondi per avviare la carica. Il caricabatterie emette un
beep e i LED lampeggiano con 2 secondi di intervallo per indicare che la carica è iniziata. I LED indicano
se la batteria da 1, 2 o 3S è carica. Per caricare un’altra batteria sul secondo canale basta premere il
pulsante Start/Stop di destra e ripetere la stessa procedura.

NOTA: La batteria non viene caricata se le celle sono troppo sbilanciate (oltre 300 mV) o se una cella è fuori

uso.

NOTA: La carica a corrente costante (CC) porta la batteria a quasi il 90% della sua capacità. Si può fermare

la carica nel punto in cui inizia la carica a tensione costante (CV) e il bilanciamento delle celle (i LED
lampeggiano 2 volte con 2 secondi di intervallo), oppure continuare la carica finché la batteria è
completamente carica.

9. Per fermare il processo di carica, tenere premuto il pulsante Start/Stop per circa 3 secondi. Il caricabat­terie emette un beep e i LED smettono di lampeggiare. Tutti i 3 LED stanno accesi (ON) per indicare che
il processo di carica è stato fermato e il caricabatterie è pronto per un nuovo ciclo di carica. Se si vuole
fermare la carica anche nel secondo canale, basta ripetere la stessa procedura premendo il pulsante
Start/Stop di destra.

10. Scollegare le batterie dal cavetto adattatore prima di scollegare il cavetto del bilanciamento (se usato).

11. Spegnere il caricabatterie portando l’interruttore sul retro, nella posizione “0”.

12. Quando non si usa, il caricabatterie deve essere scollegato dalla rete AC (220 V).

Guida alla soluzione dei problemi

Se avviene una qualche situazione anomala, il caricabatterie emette un beep continuo lungo 5 secondi men­tre tutti i 3 LED del canale interessato, lampeggiano. Se lampeggiano tutti i due gruppi di LED, significa
che il problema esiste su tutti e due i canali. Dopo il beep lungo 5 secondi, i LED assumono le seguenti

configurazioni per indicare differenti situazioni di pericolo:
