XP1100 Attributes
XP1100 Maintenance and Use
Your XP1100 will provide dependable battery powered 110 V AC for your location assignments or any time AC is not available. The XP1100 is a 1100-watt pure sine wave inverter that is safe enough to use with all your delicate electronic equipment ( power packs, digital cameras, computers, etc.). The XP1100, with its capacity to power up to 1100 watts, can easily power our MP1000w/s power packs for up to 200 full power flashes, while maintaining your fast AC recycle times. You also have the ability to use your modeling lights when needed (of course, this reduces the number of flashes available).
Important Safeguards
Please take a moment to read and understand all instructions for your safety and to ensure years of trouble free use of your equipment.
 Do Not operate while unit is being charged.  Do Not operate with HMI and high output tungsten continuous light sources.  Charge your XP1100 only from a properly grounded 100 / 240 V outlet.
 Avoid spills and exposure to moisture. Never use directly on wet floors, near swimming
pools or other sources of water.
 Do not operate the equipment with a damaged cord or if the equipment has been
dropped or damaged. Your equipment should be checked by an authorized service station before using again.

Battery and Charging Operation
Your XP1100 uses a sealed heavy duty AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery for safety and trouble free use. Recharging the battery takes 5 hours maximum to full capacity — with a fully discharged battery.
1. Plug the supplied AC cord (same as your power pack AC cord) into the front inlet located in the lower left.
2. The Battery Disconnect switch can be in either position. 3. Then plug the other end of the cord into a grounded 100—240 V AC wall outlet. Your Red and Green status indicating lights will provide you with the battery charge status as follows:
Green + Red Lights On — Unit is charging. 2 Green Lights On — Charge is complete and is in the Storage / Float mode. In this mode the
charger will maintain the battery at full charge. No Lights On — then battery is not properly connected or plugged into AC power source.
Changing Battery
1. Place Battery Disconnect switch (black on top of unit) to off position — rock switch to bottom.
2. Unscrew the two terminal connectors on either side of the battery handle.
3. Lift battery straight out of the unit. Insert replacement battery straight through the hinged
compartment panel.
4. Replace the two terminal connectors.
5. Switch the Battery Disconnect switch back to the on position — rock switch to top position. Note: Terminal connecters and battery lugs are color coded for proper polarity.
Battery Meter
Use the battery meter as a guide to monitor the state of charge as you use the unit. Because of inherent inaccuracies of battery meters, the unit also has an internal buzzer alarm to indicate the end of your battery charge. When the buzzer sounds continuously for 5 seconds, the battery is at the end of its capacity and should be recharged.
