This leg assembly is meant for use with Dyna-Glo 40" electric smokers (model numbers
DGU951SDE, DGU951SDE-D, DGU951SSE and DGU951SSE-D). Please follow all warnings and
cautions in this manual as well as the original manual that was included with your Dyna-Glo
electric smoker.
Use caution when lifting and moving the unit to avoid a back strain or a back injury. Do not move
the unit while it is in use.
• Read all instructions before assembly, installation, and use.
• Do NOT touch hot surface with bare hands.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• The use of other accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer as it
may cause injuries.
• Never use this product for any purpose other than the ones specically intended by the
manufacturer. It is NOT intended to be installed or used in or on a recreational vehicle and/or
boats.

• Always follow all safety procedures as stated in manual.
• Do NOT operate the unit near or under ammable or combustible materials such as decks,
porches, or carpet, wood decks or carports.
• Operate the unit on a stable, level, noncombustible surface such as asphalt, concrete, or solid
ground.
• Use caution when assembling and operating this unit, to avoid cuts and scrapes from edges.
• DO NOT store this unit near gasoline or other combustible liquids or where other combustible
vapors may be present.
• DO NOT use or store or operate this unit in an area accessible to children or pets. Store this unit
in a dry protected location.
• DO NOT leave the unit unattended while in use.
• DO NOT move the unit while in use, or while the smoker is still hot. Allow the unit to cool
completely before moving or storing.
• Allow the unit to cool completely before conducting any routine cleaning or maintenance. Refer
to the Care and Maintenance section on page 10.
• This product will be hot during and after use. Use insulated oven mitts, or gloves, for protection
from hot surfaces or splatter from cooking liquids.
• DO NOT wear loose clothing while operating the unit. Tie back long hair while operating the unit.
• ALWAYS wear shoes that fully cover your feet while operating the unit.
• Use only Dyna-Glo / GHP Group, Inc. factory-authorized electric smokers intended for this
accessory. The use of any electric smoker that is not authorized can be dangerous and will void
your warranty.

PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of the product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with the
package contents list and the hardware contents above. If any part is missing or damaged, do not
attempt to assemble the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Attach the left front leg (A), right front leg
(B), left rear leg assembly (C) right rear leg
assembly (D), front and rear leg supports (E)
and left and right leg supports (F) together
using sixteen M6x12 bolts (AA) as shown in
gure 1.
Note the location of the caster attachment
holes for parts C & D.
DO NOT TIGHTEN BOLTS AT THIS TIME.

2. Remove the cooking grates, sausage rack,
water bowl, wood chip box and grease cup
from the inside of the smoker.

CAUTION: This unit is heavy. Do not
attempt to lift without assistance.
3A. With the assistance of a second person turn
the smoker on its back. To avoid damage
to the smoker, use a at, soft surface like a
carpet, blanket or cardboard box.
Remove two of the M6x12 bolts from the
front legs as shown in gure 3A.
3B. Remove four of the M6x12 bolts from the
front legs. Then remove eight of the M5x12
bolts from the rear casters as shown in
gure 3B.

Please retain the disassembled rear
casters and all bolts for the next series
of steps.
Store the front legs, for future use, if
desired.
3C. Reinstall two of the disassembled M6x12
bolts to the smoker as shown in gure 3C.

4. With the assistance of a second person turn
the smoker upside down. Attach the leg
assembly to the bottom of the smoker using
the four remaining M6x12 bolts and eight
M5x12 bolts.
Tighten all bolts securely from step 1 using
a Phillips screwdriver.

5. Attach the two rear casters to the rear legs
using eight M5x12 bolts (BB).

6. With the assistance of a second person
turn the smoker right side up. Reinstall the
cooking grates, sausage rack, water bowl,
wood chip box and grease cup. Your smoker
is now ready for use.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
AFTER USE SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING
• Use caution when lifting and moving the unit to avoid strain injuries.
• DO NOT store the unit near gasoline or other combustible liquids or where combustible vapors
may be present. Keep the area around the appliance clear and free of combustible materials and
vapors.
• DO NOT store this appliance in an area accessible to children or pets. Store the appliance in a
dry, protected location.
• DO NOT allow anyone to conduct activities around the appliance after it has been used until it
has cooled. It is hot during operation and remains hot for a period of time following use.
• DO NOT leave unattended until the appliance cools completely.
• The smoker becomes extremely hot. Allow the appliance to cool completely before handling.
CAUTION: All care and maintenance procedures are to be performed while the unit is
completely cooled.
Hand-wash the cooking grates with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. After cleaning and
drying, it may be preferential to coat the cooking grates lightly with cooking oil or cooking spray.
To clean the inside and outside of the unit, simply use a damp cloth. Spray-washing with a water
hose is not recommended. Moisture should be wiped away and not allowed to stand inside or on top
of the unit. Once cleaned, lightly coat the interior of the rebox with cooking oil or cooking spray.
If rust is present on the exterior surface of the unit, clean the area with steel wool or an emery cloth
and use high temperature, heat-resistant paint.
NEVER apply additional paint to the interior of the unit. If rust is present on the interior of the unit,
clean it thoroughly with steel wool or an emery cloth and lightly coat the area with cooking oil or
cooking spray to help minimize recurring rust.

WARRANTY
This leg assembly is warranted against broken or damaged parts at the time of purchase. Paint is
warranted to be free of defects for 90 days except for rust, which may appear after repeated use.
This warranty does not cover damage or issues related to neglect, abuse or modications to the leg
assembly. Repair labor is not covered.
All parts that meet the warranty requirements will be shipped at no charge via the discretion of GHP
Group Inc. (ground shipments, US Mail or Parcel Post ONLY). Any special handling charges (i.e.
Second Day, Overnight, etc.) will be the responsibility of the consumer.
All warranty claims apply only to the original purchaser and require a proof of purchase verifying
the purchase date. Do not return parts to GHP address without rst obtaining a return authorization
number from our customer service department. This service is available by calling toll free
1-877-447-4768, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday - Friday.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not
apply to you. This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary
from state to state.
