The DX Engineering Balun or Feedline Choke Mounting Plate and Bracket Kit provides a variety of mounting solutions for a DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Balun or the DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Current Choke on a variety of antennas.
Other Baluns or feedline chokes using the standard 4 x 4 x 2 inch plastic NEMA boxes can also use this mounting kit with its rugged pre-drilled polymer plastic plate and stainless steel bracket with stainless steel hardware.
The DX Engineering Balun or Feedline Choke Mounting Plate and Bracket Kit can be used at the base of any vertical, on the boom of a Yagi or beam antenna, or even on a mast or post. The unique perpendicular mount provides a beneficial separation between the ferrite of the balun or choke and the metal tubing of the antenna or mount, resulting in improved choking performance. The UV black high-strength polymer mounting plate provides additional isolation between the feedline and the antenna system for optimal performance and decoupling.
The stainless steel mounting bracket has laser cut holes for any one of these optional heavy-duty DX Engineering V-Saddle Clamps.

No optional clamps are necessary when attaching this Mounting Plate and Bracket Kit to a 4x 4 or 6x 6 wooden post for vertical. Use two suitable wood lag bolts or carriage bolts from your local hardware outlet store.

Polymer mounting plate, pre-drilled Stainless Steel adaptor bracket Stainless steel mounting hardware
Note: JTL-12555 Jet-Lube SS-30 or other Anti-Seize must be used on all clamps, bolts and stainless steel threaded hardware to prevent galling and to ensure proper tightening.
Assembly
Assemble the Stainless Steel bracket to the polymer mounting shelf using the Hex Head Bolts, Flat Washers, Split Washers and Nuts as shown.

Mount an optional Maxi-Core® 20 Balun or Maxi-Core® 20 Current Choke to the Polymer mounting shelf using the Hex Head Bolts, Flat Washers and Nyloc Nuts as shown. Mount it in the desired position for your installation.
To mount the completed assembly to your existing mounting pipe, an optional DXE-SSVC-2P V-Bolt Saddle Clamp will be needed. Below are photos showing a typical installation of the Feedline Current Choke and Mounting Kit for a Hustler BTV antenna.
Choke Mounting Bracket is shown with optional BTV antenna, Omni-Tilt Base,
Radial Plate and 2 foot jumper cables mounted to customer supplied 2" OD mounting pipe
using one optional DXE-SSVC-2P Mounting Clamp.
To mount the completed assembly to your existing antenna, an optional clamp (depends on your boom diameter) will be needed. Below are photos from N9JCS showing a typical installation of the DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Balun on a Yagi antenna.

Warranty
All products manufactured by DX Engineering are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of one (1) year from date of shipment. DX Engineering’s sole obligation under these warranties shall be to issue
credit, repair or replace any item or part thereof which is proved to be other than as warranted; no allowance shall be made for any labor charges of Buyer for replacement of parts, adjustment or repairs, or any other work, unless such charges are authorized in advance by DX Engineering. If DX Engineering’s products are claimed to be defective in material or workmanship, DX Engineering shall, upon prompt notice thereof, issue shipping instructions for return to DX Engineering (transportation-charges prepaid by Buyer). Every such claim for breach of these warranties shall be deemed to be waived by Buyer unless made in writing. The above warranties shall not extend to any products or parts thereof which have been subjected to any misuse or neglect, damaged by accident, rendered defective by reason of improper installation, damaged from severe weather including floods, or abnormal environmental conditions such as prolonged exposure to corrosives or power surges, or by the performance of repairs or alterations outside of our plant, and shall not apply to any goods or parts thereof furnished by Buyer or acquired from others at Buyer’s specifications.
In addition, DX Engineering’s warranties do not extend to other equipment and parts manufactured by others except to
the extent of the original manufacturer’s warranty to DX Engineering. The obligations under the foregoing warranties
are limited to the precise terms thereof. These warranties provide exclusive remedies, expressly in lieu of all other remedies including claims for special or consequential damages. SELLER NEITHER MAKES NOR ASSUMES ANY OTHER WARRANTY WHATSOEVER, WHETHER EXPRESS, STATUTORY, OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS, AND NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO ASSUME FOR DX ENGINEERING ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY NOT STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOREGOING.
