Quick Start Guide
Distribution Power Supplies
Introduction
Many AV products require the use of external AC power supply units (PSU) to power their internal electronic circuitry. These external PSUs (wall warts) can pose a major challenge to system designers as they occupy valuable space within AV equipment racks where there are a limited number of AC outlets. Furthermore, some external PSUs are poorly designed and ill-suited for use in high prole applications.
These units are housed in rugged 1U rack-mountable enclosures. They accept AC line voltages autoranging from 90-264 VAC and AC line frequencies from 47-63 Hz. Four models are available, with output voltages of either +5VDC or +12VDC and a choice of either 10x or 20x outputs. All outputs include extensive protection against overload, over-voltage and over-temperature. All outputs utilize secure twist-lock DC power connectors. Several types of power supply extension cables are available that support the full range of DVIGear products.
