DURO-LAST® AUGER FASTENER

Description:

The Duro-Last nylon with an internal square drive. A spe cially designed plate and fastener combination is manufactured with one

way tabs on the underside of the f astener head that lock into the ratchet teeth of the 2 inch (52 mm) metal plate.

The 2 inch (52 mm) metal plate is manufactured with barbs that maximize membrane holding power.

The auger fasteners are d esigned to attach insulation and roofing membrane to cementitious wood fiber, gypsum, and lightweight concrete decks. The auger fasteners surpass the FM 4470 specifications

Installation:

1. A 7/16 inch (12 mm) - 9/16 (14 mm) pilot hole is

required on gypsum and lightweight concrete decks depending on density of the deck. No pilot hole is required on cementitious wood fiber decks unless overlaying an exis ting r oof system in which case a hole must be drilled thru the roof system to the top of the roof deck.

2. Penetration into the deck is 1.5 inch (38 mm), minimum.

3. Install the fastener with a 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) square-drive bit. One bit is supplied in each box of

Auger fasteners.

Note:

• On Factory Mutual insured projects, penetration is

2 inch (51 mm), minimum.
