Alkaline batteries are recommended and will normally provide more playing time.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
Congratulations! You now own a personal radio cassette player, able to offer personal listening with your headphones, and custom sound with your 3 band graphic equalizer.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
You may listen to the radio through the stereo headphones.
1. Plug the headphone plug into the HEADPHONE jack.
2. Slide the FUNCTION switch to AM or FM position.
3. Select the desired station with the TUNING control (adjust for
clearest sound).
4. Adjust the VOLUME control for the most pleasing sound.
5. Adjust the 3 BAND EQUALIZER CONTROLS to your taste.
6. When listening is completed, slide the FUNCTION switch to
the TAPE position.
As the headphone cord functions as the FM antenna, do not bunch it up. Unwind and extend the cord as much as possible.
NOTE:
Remove both batteries during long periods (about 30 days or more) of non-use, possible battery leakage and corrosion can damage the set.
If the sound becomes weak and unclear, the batteries may be weak. Replace both batteries at once.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Slide the BATTERY DOOR as the arrow direction to open it, and insert 2 size AA batteries, taking care not to reverse the positive and negative polarities.
