Furthermore, do not leave tools used for the installation, at the installation site.
Retain this Installation Manual for future reference as it will be needed for subsequent
maintenance such as relocation.

1-2. Installation Location
1. POINTS TO NOTE IN INSTALLATION
Install the equipment in a place where the floor is strong enough to bear the mass of the unit,
which is as follows:
136 kg (299.56 lb)
Requirements for installation space are as follows:
Width × Depth = 1100 × 750 mm (43.31 × 29.53")
Install the equipment in a horizontal and stable position.
Do not install the equipment near heaters or other heat-emitting appliances.
Install and use the equipment in an environment:
1-1. Before Installing
Turn off the unit, then unplug its power cord from the AC outlet.
Make sure that the power supply voltage and frequency in your area match the power
requirements indicated on the main name plate of the unit.
– where the temperature range is between 5 and 35°C,
– where the humidity range is between 20 and 85%
RH (no dew condensation),
– which is not subject to direct sunlight,
– which is subject to little or no vibration,
– where there are no harmful chemicals,
– which is reasonably free from dust,
– which is free from air-borne salt, and
– where the equipment will not be exposed to water.
1-3. Power Supply
This equipment shall be installed near the socket-outlet where the plug on the power supply
cord is easily accessible.
When you power other appliances from the same AC outlet, make sure that the combined
power consumption does not exceed the power supply capacity.

Attach the front bracket, rear bracket,
upper bridge guide, and lower bridge
guide to the bridge.
q Attach the front and rear brackets to the bridge using
the screws (MSKW4 × 8) provided.

3. INSTALLATION OF DSF-2000
When connecting the downstream processing unit, refer to its installation manual, instruction manual, and the
installation manual for the cabinet.
3-2. Connecting the Power Supply
Insert the power cord plug of the DSF-2000 into the outlet.
Adjust the angle of the ejection guide.
Normally use horizontally (in the shipped state). After installing, adjust only if necessary according to the using state.

Attach the connecting plate to the
DSF-2000 as shown in the figure.
(Use the screws (HSKW5 × 12) provided.)

Attach the bridge.
Hook the holes on the bridge to the stepped collars on this unit, and secure the bridge using the four screws (HSKW5 × 12)
provided. To avoid the parts of this unit, attach the bridge as shown in the figure.
Connect the bridge cable to the connector of this unit.

3-3. Selecting the Downstream Processing Unit
Set the downstream processing unit to be connected on the maintenance menu.

Enter the maintenance menu.
Press the escape button once on the initial screen of the control panel. Turn the jog dial by three clicks towards the right,
and press the clear button once. A beep will be sounded. Turn the jog dial by 5 clicks towards the left, and press the clear
button once. Two beeps are sounded and “Maintenance Menu” will be displayed. Press the jog dial here to enter the
maintenance menu.
If pressed incorrectly halfway through, press the escape button several times, and repeat from the beginning at the initial
screen.

Turn the jog dial to display “Finisher Setting”, and press the jog dial to confirm.

Select the downstream processing unit to be connected.
When connecting the DBM-120 Sheet by Sheet
Turn the jog dial and select “DBM120” if connecting only the DBM-120 Sheet by Sheet, or “DBM120+120T” if connecting
also the DBM-120T, and press the jog dial to confirm.

Turn the jog dial to select “DBM400”, and press the jog dial to confirm.
