How Master Making and Printing are Performed

This machine has two main processes, 'Master Making" and "Printing".
Master Making
In the “master making” process, the old master on the drum is removed while the thermal head creates the scanned image on the new master and transfers it onto the drum.
Roll master
Thermal head
Master ejection box
Drum unit
V3M0113
Printing
In the “printing” process, paper is separated from the stack by the feeder roller and paper separator unit is pressed against the drum unit by the press roller. There are small holes over only the image area of the master that is attached to the drum, and ink that seeps from these holes is transferred to the paper. The paper is then peeled from the master by the paper stripper fi nger and the top blow fan. The paper is directed onto the paper ejection belt by a fan unit and discharged from the machine.

Edit Function: 90° Rotation

90° Rotation

This function is for rotating documents on the digital scan image. There are two types of 90° rotation, clockwise 90° rotation and counterclockwise 90°. This reduces A3-size document placed in the portrait position (to paper feed direction) and produces A4-size printout in the landscape position (to paper feed direction) by setting “ZOOM” to AUTO/REDUCTION. A3/A4 drum is recommended to be used for 90° rotation.
REFERENCE
If original image has solid black portion, set proper rotation so that the solid black portion comes to rear part of print. Example: If A3-size document has solid black portion in the right side more than the left side, set clockwise 90° rotation. Doing this prints out the right part of the document on the rear part of the ejected printout.
