Congratulations on the purchase of your new M-109 MXR Six
Band Graphic Equalizer! MXR effects have been favored by
professional guitarists for decades. While other effects have
come and gone, MXR’s keep getting the job done … with bulletproof construction, quiet, reliable switching and tasteful, musically inspired tone shaping.
DESCRIPTION
• 18dBs of serious cut or boost
• Updated with a hardwire bypass
• New illuminated sliders for onstage carving
• Indestructible, die-cast zinc housing
POWER
The MXR M-109 Six Band EQ uses one 9-volt battery. The battery access is
through the bottom of the pedal. The Six Band EQ uses the Dunlop ECB03
Adapter (ECB03E for Europe), a 9-volt DC regulated AC adapter. Plug polarity
is positive on the barrel and negative in the center. Note:Battery must be
installed to operate the EQ unless an AC adapter is used.

CONTROLS
Footswitch toggles Effect On/Bypass.
Six Paragraphic Slider Controls enable boost or attenuation up to plus
or minus 18dB at frequency centers 100Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.6KHz
and 3.2KHz.
DIRECTIONS
To set up the MXR Six Band EQ, you just have to use your own audio
preferences. The first two sliders handle the fundamental frequencies of
open tuning (the lower registers). The next two, 400Hz and 800Hz, handle
the odd harmonics of the open strings on a guitar (the mid range). The
last two, 1.6KHz and 3.2KHz, handle the highest playing range of the
guitar’s harmonics.
The adjustment range of the sliders give you a boost of ±18dB, or about
seven times the output level at the noted frequency (or, conversely, a seven
times reduction).
The EQ is turned on by depressing the stomp switch. When the EQ is
active, the sliders will have the red LED’s illuminated.
