POWER
The MXR M-109 Six Band EQ uses one 9-volt battery. The battery access is through the bottom of the pedal. CONTROLS
Footswitch toggles Effect On/Bypass. Six Paragraphic Slider Controls enable boost or attenuation up to plus
or minus 18dB at frequency centers 100Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.6KHz and 3.2KHz.
DIRECTIONS
To set up the MXR Six Band EQ, you just have to use your own audio preferences. The first two sliders handle the fundamental frequencies of open tuning (the lower registers). The next two, 400Hz and 800Hz, handle the odd harmonics of the open strings on a guitar (the mid range). The last two, 1.6KHz and 3.2KHz, handle the highest playing range of the guitar’s harmonics.
The adjustment range of the sliders give you a boost of ±18dB, or about seven times the output level at the noted frequency (or, conversely, a seven times reduction).
The EQ is turned on by depressing the stomp switch. When the EQ is active, the sliders will have the red LED’s illuminated.
