Engine Driven Pressure Washers
Pressure Washer will not prime!
Pump valves can become stuck during storage, connect mains water hose to the pump inlet to force water through the pump, then start the engine briefly to free any sticky valves.
Note: You will need to unclip the supplied suction hose at the pump end quick release fitting
and attach your mains water hose to allow the water pressure to force the valves open, remember to open the lance trigger allowing the water to pass through the pump.
Pressure seems low!
1) Check the pressure regulating valve knob is turned fully clock-wise.
2) Ensure all the air is expelled from the pump and pipe work.
3) Check the nozzle head at the end of the lance is turned to the high pressure position.
Pressure rises and falls intermittently!
1) Check for loose suction hose connections allowing air into the pump.
2) Check the suction quick release coupling is in good condition and the sealing o’ring is not damaged; if in doubt replace the O-ring.
3) Check the suction filter is fully submerged under the water.
4) Check the suction hose is not kinked restricting the flow.
5) Check that suction filters are not blocked.
If connected direct to the mains water, check that no other appliance is using water from the same supply; this will reduce the flow to the pump making it noisy and low on pressure.
Note: Prolonged use with restricted water feed will damage the pump seals and valves.
Engine will not start!
1) Check there is fuel in the tank.
2) Check the oil level in the engine is at the correct height. Engines with oil alert will not start if the oil level is low.
3) The engine choke may be required if the engine is cold or the engine has just been fuelled for the first time.

Quick Start Guide
IMPORTANT
Before you start to use this machine please read the safety instructions
in section 3 of the Pressure Washer handbook
IMPORTANT
If the machine fails to prime refer to the
Pressure Washer Handbook
Attach the water suction hose to the machine inlet connection
The suction hose should be used with a clean water supply
Attach the high pressure hose to the machine outlet connection
Attach the end of the high pressure hose to the trigger gun connection
Ensure the fuel tank is filled with clean fuel
Remove travel bung and fit dipstick
Travel Bung Dipstick
Fill engine with oil to correct level
Check the oil levels for the pump, and gearbox (if fitted)
Adjust the nozzle to the required pressure position
Open the fuel tap, close the choke and start the engine, gradually open the choke until the engine runs smoothly
Slowly increase the engine revs to approximately HALF speed
Open the trigger gun and the pump will slowly start to prime the water through
Do not attach the end of the two-piece lance assembly until priming is completed
Once a constant flow of water is achieved the split lance can be reconnected
