Drill hole
The primary of the transformer (red wires) is rated at
AC 50Hz /60Hz 70mA. The secondary of the transformer (yellow wires) is rated at 16.5VAC
230V
0.606A 10VA.
Fuse Block
The fuse block is used to connect the incoming AC to the primary of the transformer with a 125mA SB (Slow Blow), 250V fuse in between to protect the transformer.
Wiring
The wiring can be brought into the plastic cabinet in one of 3 ways:
Through the wire access holes in the back of the plastic housing.
For flush-mount wiring, break away one of the four tabs located along the outer edge of the
plastic housing (see Diagram 1).
Through drilled holes in the sides of the cabinet: On all sides of the bottom plastic housing (except one) there are dots in the plastic, which are used to indicate drill hole locations (see Diagram 1).
NOTE: The drill holes are marked to prevent accidental drilling into the transformer.
The primary of the transformer (red wires) are connected to one side of the fuse block. The incoming 230V
The secondary of the transformer (yellow wires) is to be connected to the AC terminals of the control panel with which the transformer is used.
Mounting
Using the four screws provided, mount the bottom plastic housing to the intended mounting surface, via its 4 foot-holes.
Snap the cover plastic housing onto the plastic housing and secure the connection using the screw provided.
NOTE: The equipment must be secured to the building before operation. It is designed to be mounted INDOOR, NON-HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS ONLY. The end user shall be instructed not to open the enclosure of the power supply as it presents the risk of an electrical shock hazard.
IMPORTANT
1. The connection to the mains supply must be made as per the local authorities’ rules and regu-
AC is to be connected to the opposite side of the fuse block (see Diagram 2).

that the same degree of protection for the cabinet is provided by the use of bushings, fittings, etc.
3. The enclosure must be secured to the building structure before operation.
4. The equipment is intended to be installed by SERVICE PERSONS ONLY or equivalent (i.e., persons having appropriate technical training and the experience necessary to be aware of hazards to which they may be exposed to in performing that task and of the measures to minimize the risks to themselves and other persons.).
5. Internal wiring must be routed in a manner that prevents:
• excessive strain on wire and on terminal connections;
• loosening of terminal connections;
• damage of conductor insulation.
6. The power supply must be
PERMANENTLY CONNECTED.
7. The transformer box must be mounted vertically on a wall made from non-combustible materials only (see Diagram 3).
8. If the mains supply remains below 215Vac for an extended period of time the SCW9045/47 battery will not charge.
