1. Introduction
The TRIO is a freestanding atmospheric gas heating applianc
e
A closed appliance does not extract the combustion air from the living en

vironment, but from outside. This is done through a combined fl ue gas di

scharge system / combustion air supply system. This system can be installe

through the wall, or through the roof

The combined fl ue gas discharge system / combustion air supply system can be delivered in the colour o

The appliance is supplied with a wireless remote control that works on bat

2. SAFETY

3. Using the appliance
.1 First tim
e
hen the appliance is fi red up for the fi rst time, an unpleasant smell could rise through evaporation of volatile components from paint, materials, etc. his can take several hours

- Pets and birds in particular can be sensitive to the vapours that are released

.3 Discoloration of walls and ceilin
gs
rown discoloration is an unpleasant and diffi cult problem to solve. Brown
iscoloration can be caused by dust incineration as a consequence of too little
entilation, smoking, burning of candles, oil lamps, etc. Smoke from cigaret-
es and cigars contains tar substances that are deposited on colder walls
.
hese problems can (partly) be prevented through a proper ventilation of the
oom where the appliance is located
.

4. Operation
.1 Lightin
g
Button A, used to light the appliance, can be found on the gas control block
see Photo 1). You can fi nd the gas control block behind the door in the space
at the bottom of the a
pp
liance
.
aution- Always wait 5 minutes after the pilot  ame has gone out, before you re-light
the appliance
;
- Close the gas tap in case of malfunctions/poor ignition and consult the in
-
staller
.
Observe the following steps to light your appliance
:
Press button A and hold it
;
Rotate button A counter-clockwise to the position for ‘small  ame’
.
At the
symbol the ignition pen will spark.
Check if the pilot  ame is burnin
g;
Hold button A for another ca. 5 seconds
;
Let go of button A and check if the pilot  ame keeps burning;
Then r

the
position for ‘big  ame’: the main burner is now
eing switched on
.
Caution Depending on the position of button B on the gas control block (see Photo 1
the main burner will ignite with higher or lower  ames
.
When button B is in the position , the  ames are at their highest. I

- If the pilot  ame does not burn after 3 attempts, you must close the gas tap an

.2 Flame heigh
t
The fl ame height can be set with button B on the gas control block (see Photo
1). Button B can

When button B is in the position , the fl ames are at their highest

If you rotate the button to the right, the fl ames will get smaller up to the pilot fl ame position
(
position or rotated further to the right)

Caution
- When the  ames are set higher from the pilot  ame position, the main bur

ner should be largely ignited within about 10 seconds. If this does not hap

pen, you must close the gas tap and consult your installer

Rotating button B requires some strength; the ‘tapping’ sound is norma

4.3 Pilot fl ame settin

he appliance keeps burning in the pilot fl ame setting if button A is put in the osition for ‘small fl ame’ (); regardless of the position of button B. The gas

5. Maintenance

Caution As user you are only allowed to clean the appliance from the outside:

- Lacquer damages as a result of objects fallen/placed against the housing of t

e appliance, are not covered by the warranty

6. Environment
.1 General
Packaging materials should be disposed in accordance with the local rules
.
Batteries are regarded as small chemical waste and should therefore be dis

osed in special containers
.
6.2 Applianc
e
At the end of its life the appliance must be processed in a sound way, so that the appliance or parts o
f
it can be recycled
.
Do not dispose the appliance with unsorted waste, but bring it to an o cial

ection site

Contact the local authorities for information on available disposal and collec-
tion systems.
