FIRE HAZARD
Keep away from open flames and heat sources. Do not use or store where vapors from gasoline,
solvents, thinners or other flammable materials may be present.
INTRODUCTION
The BD600 reduces humidity in enclosed structural environments by removing water vapor from the air. With proper use, the BD600 can help to dry out damp structural materials, insulation, and contents, and maintain a healthy level of humidity. Using the BD600 may also prevent secondary damage caused by high humidity.
How the BD600 works
The BD600 refrigerant dehumidifier uses a fan to draw moist air in and condenses it into water that collects in a tray and drains out through an optional drain hose.
Features:
Recessed handles for easy positioning in confined
spaces.
Convenient 4 l collection tank with automatic shut-off
to prevent overflow.
May be attached to drain hose (purchased
separately) for continuous operation.
Quiet operation and low power consumption.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION
Operating Features
Combined kWh and hour meter. Indicates the total
number of running hours and kilowatts consumed. The meter cannot be reset.
Water full indicator. An indicator light will glow amber when the collection container is full. Remove and empty the basin, and replace it inside the unit.
Defrost mode. In colder temperatures, the unit may automatically enter a “defrost mode” to reduce the buildup of frost on the evaporator coil inside the unit. When the unit enters this mode, the compressor will stop operating and the fan will continue to operate until any frost has been thawed. No user intervention is required during this operation. The unit will automatically resume normal operation when the defrost operation is completed.
Compressor protection function. In certain circumstances, the unit may require a 3 minute rest before restarting. If the unit does not operate when
you press the Start button, wait three minutes and try again.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Position the unit. The unit should be placed on a firm,
level surface. To permit adequate airflow, provide at least 30 cm of clearance around all sides of the unit.
Set up. Ensure that the collection basin is in place. If using the drain hose, make sure it is properly placed
over the basin drain outlet nipple. Place the other end of the drain hose in a suitable container or in a floor drain at a level below the basin drain hose outlet. Make sure there are no kinks or sharp bends in the drain hose.
1. Switch unit on. Press the power button. Unit will begin operating.
2. Switch off. Press the power button again to turn the unit off.
Operating Tips
The amount of humidity the BD600 can remove from the air is dependent on airflow, temperature, and humidity.
Depending on these factors, the unit may need to operate for several minutes before producing any water in the collection container. Note that the unit will remove very little water in excessively cold (<5° C) or dry (<30% RH) conditions.
The unit should be operated only in temperatures between 5°32° C. Operating in temperatures above below or above this range will produce very little water and may possibly damage the machine.
Always place the unit in a level position. Operating or storing the unit beyond 45° may damage the compressor.
The unit will produce a small amount of heat during operation. Temperatures in the treated area may rise 1°3° C. This is normal.
Ensure adequate air flow through the unit at all times. Clean the filter regularly, and keep the unit at least 30
