DrayTek VigorAP 903 is a wireless access point with a 5-port switch for expanding the network wirelessly. LAN clients can
join the network from one of the 5 Gigabit ports or the wireless connection. It is designed to provide a smooth wireless
connection by supporting 802.11ac wave2 standard and providing advanced features, such as AirTime Fairness, Band
Steering, and AP-Assisted Roaming.

EXPAND THE NETWORK WIRELESSLY

VigorAP 903 helps you to deliver connectivity to every
corner of the building without wires. By a few clicks on
the App, they can automatically connect to each other
to build a mesh topology, and clients can access the
network via any of the VigorAP 903. The meshing
technology adds redundancy and reliability to your
network. In the event of connection failure, VigorAP 903
will dynamically route the traffic to an alternative path.

CONCURRENT DUAL-BAND & BAND STEERING

VigorAP903 runs on 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency band
simultaneously, allows more concurrent Wi-Fi clients, and
benefits from the fast speed of 5GHz and the long-range
signal of 2.4GHz at the same time to meet the needs of
various network applications. The support of Band
Steering feature helps you to direct the 5G-compatible
stations to the less-interference 5GHz WLAN, so that
they can enjoy the faster Wi-Fi speed, and leave the

2.4GHZ WLAN less-crowded, which will results in better
Wi-Fi experience for all the clients.

SECURE YOUR BUSINESS NETWORK

With VigorAP 903, you may have up to 8 SSIDs mapping to
different (virtual) local networks and have different security
settings. You may want an SSID for the visitors with only
the Internet access and just secured by a Pre-Shared Key,
at the same time, have another SSID for the staff to access
internal resources, and requires client authentication by
username and password. The built-in RADIUS server
feature allows VigorAP 903 to do 802.1x authentication
based on the local user database, which can also be used
by other devices on the network, e.g., a router.

IMPROVING ROAMING BETWEEN APS

VigorAP 903 provides “AP-Assisted Roaming” to make sure the
clients are connecting to the best AP on the WLAN. VigorAP
903 continuously monitors the data rate and receiving signal
strength of its clients to check if they are still in the effective
transmitting range and would automatically disassociate
those who are out of the range. The VigorAP will exchange
such information with the other VigorAPs of the same WLAN,
and we can set conditions such as not disassociating a client
unless we know it is in the coverage of another VigorAP.

EASY SETUP & MONITORING

DrayTek has developed an App for setting up the mesh
network with VigorAP 903, the user-friendly interface allows a
quick setup even for non-tech savvy. Except for the App,
Vigor AP 903 supports both stand-alone setup and controller­based setup. For deploying just up a few access points only,
the configuration can be done directly on the AP's web user
interface. VigorAP903 is also compliant with DrayTek’s
centralized management too, the VigorACS, and the central
AP management features of selected Vigor Router.
