Important: Before lifting any load, read and understand all the safety instructions listed in this manual.
Important: ALWAYS test the jack thoroughly and ensure that all bolts and attachments are securely fastened before use. Observe the load at all times during operation.
CAUTION! This product is for lifting
transmission systems and dierentials ONLY.
DO NOT use this product to suspend equipment for prolonged periods.
1. Raise the vehicle to an appropriate height and
secure it on suitable supports (not supplied).
2. Move the jack into position beneath the vehicle.
3. Loosen the saddle tilt adjustment screws (6) and
open the strap using the ratchet (4); see 6.2 Loosening the Strap.
4. Use a 1 ⁄ 2” square drive ratchet to rotate the drive
socket (2) clockwise to extend the lifting arm (3) until the saddle (5) contacts the transmission system.
Important: Allow the saddle to tilt as appropriate to
seat itself rmly beneath the load.
5. Firmly tighten the saddle tilt adjustment screws to
secure the saddle in place.
6. Ensure that the load’s centre of gravity is positioned
centrally on the saddle, then carefully extend the lifting arm a little further to transfer the weight of the load from the vehicle to the jack.
7. Detach the transmission system from the vehicle,
ensuring that movement of the load is not obstructed in any way.
8. Check that the saddle is securely and comfortably
holding the load and does not show signs of stress.
9. Pass the strap over the load and secure it tightly in
place using the ratchet; see 6.1 Tightening the Strap.
10. Ensure that no one is present beneath the load and
that the load can be lowered without obstruction, then slowly and carefully operate the drive socket anticlockwise to lower the load to its lowest position.
Important: Keep clear of the load while operating
the drive socket.
11. Check the saddle again for signs of stress or poor
sating of the load.
12. With the lifting arm in its lowest position, manoeuvre
the jack to a suitable workspace to operate on the load.
13. When work is complete, perform this procedure in
reverse to install the transmission system back into the vehicle.
