Draper electric fans have been carefully tested and inspected before shipment and are guaranteed to be free from defective materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase except where they are hired out when the guarantee period is ninety days from the date of purchase.
Should the unit develop any fault please return the complete item to your nearest author ised warranty repair agent or contact Draper Tools Limited,Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire. SO53 1YF.England.Telephone:(023) 8049 4333.
If upon inspection it is found that the fault occur ring is due to def ective materials or workmanship the repairs will be carried out free of charge.This guarantee does not apply to normal wear and tear, nor does it cover any damage caused by misuse, careless or unsafe handling,alterations,accident, or repairs attempted by any personnel other than the authorised Draper War ranty repair agent.
This guarantee applies in lieu of any other guarantee expressed or implied and variations of its terms are not authorised.
Your Draper guarantee is not effective unless you produce a dated receipt or invoice to ver ify your proof of purchase within the 12 month period.
Please note that this guarantee is an additional benefit and does not affect your statutory rights.

IMPORTANT:
Draper Tools Limited recommends that this fan not be modified or used for any application other than that for which it was designed.If you are unsure of its relative applications do not hesitate to contact us in writing and we will advise you.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES FOR FANS
1. Never insert fingers,pencils,or any other object through the protective grille,while the
fan is running.
2. Disconnect the fan from the power supply when moving it from one location to another.
3. Disconnect the fan from the power supply when removing the protective grilles for
cleaning.
4. Always ensure fan is secure on a firm level surface before operating.
5. Do not use fan in a window , as rain can create an electrical hazard.
6. Always complete the assembly of the fan before switching it on after cleaning.
7. If the power supply cable becomes damaged,it should be replaced immediately by a
qualified electrician.
8. Do not use this fan with a valid state speed control device.

ASSEMBLING THE BASE:
1.Remove the screw from the base of the fan.
2.Align the locking lug of the button housing with the base.
3.Tighten the screw from the base to secure the button housing and base together.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
ASSEMBLING THE PROTECTIVE BLADE GRILLES:
1. Unscrew the spinner (6) clockwise and the nut (3) anticlockwise,then remove both of them.
2. Locate the rear grille (2) in the correct position,ensuring that the handle is at the top.
3. Replace and tighten the nut (3) to secure the rear grille (2).
4. Discard the PVC sleeve (4) on the motor shaft.
5. Slide the fan blade (5) onto the motor shaft until it reaches the retaining pin.
6. Screw the spinner (6) onto the motor shaft in an anticlockwise direction.
7. Undo the locking screw mounted on the rear grille (2). Mount the front grille (7) onto the rear grille ensuring that the small round hole on the top aligns with the hole on the rear grille.
8. Fix both grilles together with the clips and then tighten the locking screw.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. To stop the fan head from oscillating,pull the clutch knob up.
2. To make the fan head oscillate,push the clutch knob down.
3. The airflow can be adjusted upward or downward by loosening the tilt adjustment knob and adjusting the vertical angle as desired. Retighten the adjustment knob securely.
4. The speed is controlled by depressing the buttons located on the panel below the fan;
0 = Off 1 = Slow 2 = Medium 3 = Fast
IMPORTANT:
Remove the plug from the power supply and wait until the fan has completely stopped rotating before making any adjustments to it.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Always unplug the fan from the power supply.
2. To disassemble the fan, reverse the sequence of the ‘ASSEMBLING THE
PROTECTIVE BLADE GRILLES’section.
3. All plastic components should be cleaned with a mild soapy detergent and a damp cloth or sponge.Ensure all traces of water and detergent are removed before reassembly.
4. Ensure that water and/or cleaning detergent does not enter the motor housing or switch mechanism.
